chapter 11:assumptions
Wario and Ness walked out into the S.B.I medical building
hallway.Ness immediately began querying about Wario's lie to
the wounded Fox.
"Why would you lie to him?!?"snapped Ness"He's our
comrade!What reason could you possibly have!"
"calm down!"scolded Wario"I have a reason.You know ho
w Falco betrayed us,just like that?well he and Fox are alot alike,a
s well as good friends.I was thinking,that if Fox believed that Falc
o had hurt him and the rest of the team,he would be less tempte
d to join hi buddy.How's that for a reason,you nosy brat!?"
"I guess it's a good reason to do something like that"
said Ness soberly.Falco had been his friend and mentor,and he
didn't like the idea of Wario discrediting Falco further.The Falcon
may have betrayed them,but maybe he had good reason.

Falco stood in the pilot's quarters with Toad,who was the
n flying the plane.
"so where we heading ,Toad?"asked Falco "That's been
nagging me the entire trip so far."
"Heaven's gate,headquarters of the Dragonstar resistance."
said Toad matter of factly"We're going to apply for membership."
"WHAT!"shouted a shocked Falco"But they're terrorrists who
want to revive that horrible tyrant,the Master Hand!"
"No need to fear them,child"said Toadsworth,who had materi
alized in the room"they actually have some reason for their action
s you know.Come with me,I'll explain"
Falco and Toadsworth began walking through the copter's rathyer large Agents quarters,now used as a living room by Falco
and the Toads.
"Have you heard of the Earth Spirit's coma?"asked Toadsw
orth.
"Yeah I have"replied Falco"But that's restricted S.B.I informa
tion.How did you get your hands on it?And What does this have t
o do with anything?"
"I have my ways of extracting knowledge."said Toadsworth,
slyly"And it has everything to do with it."
The earth spirit,Tabuu,was the being that kept the Smash
iverse together with it's power.In exchange for keeping the Smas
hiverse alive,it ruled a small country known as Espara.Recently,th
e spirit had lapsed into a coma,but this information was kept secr
et,for fear that it would cause panic.
"The spirit's coma is causing everything to break apart eve
r so slowly.You can feel it can't you?What you have percieved as
an epidemic of earth quakes is truly the universe itself breaking
apart.The Master Hand is the only being who knows the word
of secrets,which can awaken anything sleeping,and unlock any
lock."said Toadsworth in a deadly serious tone "We are applying
to join Dragonstar,so we can help them,as wel as so we can
find protection from the S.B.I"
Falco paused.This information.....It couldn't be the truth and
yet.....He knew it was.
"I'll come with you and join Dragonstar.But i doubt I'm going
to enjoy it"said falco grudgingly.
As Falco said those words,A loud CLUNK could be heard outs
ide of the copter.
"Run for your lives!"screamed Toad over the intercom"We're
being attacked!"
