chapter 8:Epic confrontation
Falco and his companions stood silently around the perimete
r of Mushroom mall.Falco and Fox stood near the front door,which
led to the section of the store Mario and co. were believed to be
in.A buzzing in Fox's pocket signaled that a teammate was
contacting him.
"hey a Fox."said Wario over the com-link"The target is approach
ing my a station.You and a Falco had a better get over here."
"I hear ya"replied Fox"We're on our way."The duo hurried
off to Ness and Wario's post,the back door.
"Figures that criminals like them would take the back door."
said Falco.
"Yeah"said Fox"how cliche can they get,huh?"They arrived
near Wario and Ness just as Snake and Shiah were doing the
same.
"Come On!"said Snake ,rather flustered"i wanna use the
big gun!"
"Shut up you gun hugging ignoramus!They're a comin."
just as Wario said those words,the party of Mario,Luigi,Toad,
Toadett,Toadsworth,and Toadum entered through the door.
"Open fire!" shouted Fox fiercely.He knew that if he didn't
end this quickly,The mushroom mafia would send in more deadly
troops.
"Gladly!"said Snake as he fired gigantic gun at the opposing
group.
The first to be caught in the rain of gunshots and blasterfire
was Toadum,Who was hit by Snake's blast.His blood and guts
covered the ground.
Luigi cowered in the corner of the building.He hadn't seen
a fight like this since his days besting Bowser.And this looked
like it was going to end badly.
Toad and Toadsworth were doing most of the actual fightin
g.They had brought high powered shot guns,although they had
yet to hit anyone in this battle.Toadett was shocked by Toadum's
sudden death.She stood,shaking,in front of his mangled corpse.
But the most troublesome reaction to the S.B.I was from Mari
o.His eyes filled with a fire not seen since his hero days.He was
like a bubble,waiting to pop.Suddenly,he did.
Mario sprung on The agents like lightning. He went for Snake
first.his fist knocked into Snake's jaw with tremendous force.
Snake fell to the ground,unconcious.
"This is going to be a long fight"moaned Falco.
