Chapter 5:Under fire.........................
The group of S.B.I newbies stood at the gate of the S.B.I
virtual Reality chamber.They had been training for a week and
had learned much,but this was the day that their place in the
organization would be decided.
Falco stood at attention next to his friends,little Mac ,Bowser
Jr. ,and Lucas.They had all grown close in only one week of
intense training .They stood next to the other initiates,Tingle
,Tails,and Megaman as their trainer,Shadow the Hedgehog
casually stepped out onto the floor.
"Hello trainees"began the hedgehog"As you probably
know,the day I make an inspiring speech is the Smashiverse
is destroyed,So let the mission begin!"
The trainees clapped as Fox Mcloud appeared for the mission
briefing.
"Today's placement mission will simulate the Princess
Peach assassination."boomed Fox into the microphone"your goal
will be to protect the princess until she reaches the scene of her
death then watch history happen.Now let the mission begin!"
At that moment the trainees filed into the VR(virtual reality)
room.The room melted away and it was replaced by a grand
palace,adorned with mushrooms of all shapes and sizes .They
were walking beside a pink chariot which was carrying a virtual
princess toadstool.
Suddenly some angry looking goombas appeared behind
the chariot.Tingle who wasacting as a rear lookout shouted
to little Mac,who quickly dispatched them.
But little mac wasn't getting all of the action.A pair of koopas
had appeared next to Falco.He made them curl into thier shells
as he chucked them to assisst Lucas,who was dealing with a
truckload of Hammer bros.
Soon the chariot came to a stop in front of a podium.Falco
looked away as the princess was blown to bits when she got out
of her chariot.
The mushroom kingdom melted away as the VR room
replaced it.Thier,next to the door was a toad,clutching a blaster
rifle.
"Ey,dis guy is probly hear ta congr-"said J.R as he was blown to
pieces.
Blood and gore splattered the soon to be S.B.I agents.
Parts of J.R. lay everywhere.Falco,reacting in an instant,Falco
leaped over the other trainees heads and kicked the toad in
the face,knocking him out instantly.
It was then that the reality of Bowser J.R's death hit him.
He had known him for as long as he could remember.a lone tear
slid down Falco's beak.
"welcome to the S.B.I"said Fox with his hand on Falco's
shoulder.
