Chapter 2!!!!
Link rode fast toward Hyrule castle town. He was going to see the princess. If anyone would know something It would be her. It took him almost half a day of riding to reach the outside of Hyrule castle town. He jumped off Epona and left her with some lush grass giving her a pat on the back before walking into the large doors leading into the town.
As soon as he set foot in the town cheers rang out. He cursed being a hero as people surrounded him asking questions 2 at a time. He smiled and spoke in a loud voice “I am sorry I do not have the time to talk right now, please step aside I am on some urgent business.” To his surprise like egger puppies the throng of people step aside.
Only one small child remained looking at him. Link stooped down to the Childs eye level. “Hi, what’s your name?” the child smiled at him brightly. “Sara Mr. Hero” links heart nearly melted in his chest. “Do you want to be my hero?” he asked Sara. She nodded sending her long blond curs around her face. “Well can you keep this little box safe for me till I need it?” He handed her a small locked box. She took it eagerly. “Yes mr. Hero!” He watched as she bounced off and into a small house. Shaking his head and smiling he headed toward the castle and Zelda.
He walked slower now feeling nervous. What if she had nothing but bad news to tell him? He shook his head. Regardless of what she said he would still look. As he reached the gate the guards looked at him in surprise. “Link, how nice to see you are you here to see the princess?” Link nodded not wanting to revile his reasons for being there. “You didn’t send word but go on inside I don’t believe she has any meetings today. “ Link again nodded and walked by.
Inside the castle was as beautiful as ever. Stain glass windows now depicted the battle between himself and Gannondorf, Others showing the master sword, Zelda and himself. One caught his eye and he almost fell down the stares. There she was Midna in all her beauty depicted in stained glass. She stood side by side with Zelda. Herself in twilight Zelda in our world there hands touching. He could only stare at her beauty.
He didn’t hear Zelda come up behind him. “You miss her don’t you link?” her soft voice said behind him. He whirled around nearly making a fool of himself. “I uh…yes” she laughed a musical sound. “Tell me why have you come, you are welcome anytime but I know you would not come without reason.” He nodded. “Is there somewhere more private we could talk?” She nodded and started up the stairs. He followed behind her casting one quick glance back to the stained glass window.
Link watched fascinated as the princess grabbed a candle and led him through a series of darkened hallways. They than came to a door where she slipped a key from her dress and unlocked the door. She steped back “Please go inside” Link walked inside the room was pitch black. He blinked as the room was suddenly bright with light. Link looked around in amazment at all the artefacts. Dust clung to most things but he saw old swords, shields, armour of all kinds. Along the walls there were paintings of the kings of Hyrule. Zelda pointed him to a chair and he sat. She sat across from him. “So link tell my why you are here”
Taking a deep breath link squared his shoulders and said “Princess tell me do you know of another way into the twilight world, the mirror of twilight is shatterd beyond repair but there has to be another way back.” Zelda looked at him hard as if sizing him. “You wish to return to the land of twilight?” Link nodded. “I belong with Midna” A slow smile spred on zeldas face. “You are in love with her I see” Link nodded again. He watched with growing agitation as Zelda got up and stood by a window. “I know very little in this matter Link, but I can tell you there is away back but once you use this you can ever return.” A smile spread on his face “I wont need to come back.” Zelda smiled a sad smile “I only hope that Hyrule does not need a hero again.”
