CHAPTER 2: The Assault on Dream Land

WOOM! WOOM WOOM WOOM!
The Arwings zoomed over the blue Dream Land sky, looking down over the city.
Leon: Well, here we are. Where shall we attack first?
Wolf: Just follow my lead.
The team all did a nosedive right for the crisp grass in Dream Land, and pulled up. Wolf fired at a nearby building. The shot lit the building on fire, and residents of Dream Land all ran out. Starmen, Bronto Burt’s, even Gordo’s all evacuated despite being resistant to damage. Panther shot right in front of a group of Starmen, knocking them off their feet.
PSEW! PSEW! PSEW!
Leon fired at Whispy Woods, a tree with a face on it. Whispy attempted to fight back by blowing airs towards Leon, but failed.
Leon: Haha! How disappointing! I was expecting Dream Land’s oldest citizen to put up more of a fight than that!
Wolf: Don’t get too full of yourself, Leon! We’ve got company!
Leon looked to his left, and he saw Kirby riding his warp star. On his left was Meta Knight, gliding with his wings.
Leon: Aww, do the little kiddies wanna play?!
Leon flew upwards, and the two Star Warriors followed him.
Kirby: Poyo!
Meta Knight: Hyah!
Meta Knight powerfully flapped his wings once and gave himself a boost, and caught up with Leon pretty quickly. Kirby tilted forward on his warp star and also managed to catch up.
Pigma cut them off from their chase with Leon and flew right in front of them, sending them flying out of control. Meta Knight crashed into the ground, as did Kirby. Kirby hopped back on his warp star and chased Pigma, and Meta Knight went back to chasing after Leon. However, Meta Knight ran on his feet. This way, Leon couldn’t see him if Meta Knight was underneath his Arwing.
Meta Knight: Axe! Mace! Trident!
Three more warriors, one wielding an axe, a mace, and a 3rd carrying a trident all joined Meta Knight in the chase for Leon.
Kirby continued to chase Pigma and shot at Kirby using cannons on the back of his Arwing, all of which Kirby managed to dodge.
Mace Knight swung his mace at the bottom of the Arwing which flew inside, and Axe climbed up. Inside, he cut several wires regardless of the consequences. Part of the Arwing exploded, and spiraled out of control.
Leon: WAAAAAAAAAH!
Leon spiraled in the air for a short while before finally crashing into the ground.
Boom!!
Kirby began shooting miniature warp stars at the back of Pigma’s Arwing. They managed to take out the cannons, and Kirby flew underneath and attacked the bottom of the Arwing, causing Pigma’s to explode.
Wolf: HOLY CRAP!
Kirby swerved around and blasted the glass dome over Wolf’s cockpit when he flew over it. Wolf lost control of his Arwing and leapt out and flew high into the air. Meta Knight flew by and slammed into his chest with the flat edge of his golden sword.
Wolf: OOF!
After about three seconds, Meta Knight came to a sudden halt, at which point the contact between the sword and Wolf broke. Wolf fell down to the ground and vanished beneath a glowing circle, as did Panther.
Meta Knight: Most fun I’ve had in a while.
Kirby: Poyo!
King Dedede: Guys! Guys! I came as soon as I heard the Sparta—I mean madness. What all happened here?
Meta Knight: Team Star Wolf showed up and began firing at random people and buildings. As you can see, it left Dream Land in a state of disaster. Some king you turned out to be.
Dream Land was relatively close to the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Peach showed up.
Peach: Oh my.
Mario: What-a happened here?
Meta Knight: Team Star Wolf attacked Dream Land. Even though we managed to stop them, the place is in pretty bad shape.
Mario: What would cause them to-a do such a thing!?
Meta Knight: I am wondering that myself. Unless this is some sort of bizarre form of thanks for wrecking the Great Fox before we fought Tabuu, I can’t think of any other motive.
King Dedede: My castle’s gone.
Peach: But why Dream Land?
Meta Knight: Wolf might also want revenge from when he was defeated back in Station Square, but if he had his gang attack us for that purpose, that ultimately proves that he is truly a coward.
King Dedede: My beautiful castle...
Mario: This-a makes no sense... To my knowledge, nobody went at war with them.
King Dedede: WHYYYYYYYYYYYY?!
Meta Knight: Excuse me for a moment.
Meta Knight walked over behind King Dedede and kicked him in the behind. The kick was so strong; it sent Dedede flying through the air all the way to his destroyed castle.
Meta Knight: Now, you were saying?
