CHAPTER 1: The Beginning

It’s been approximately two years since the Smashers had fought Darkrai and saved Planet Nintendo from eternal darkness. Although the planet was safe, something didn’t feel right.
The residents still felt a dark presence even though Darkrai was destroyed. However, this feeling felt more sinister, more dark and menacing than Darkrai.
Somewhere, outside of the universe, was someone so evil, so sinister, that they were never to be allowed into the video game universe ever.
This was none other than the most evil being known to exist: Dark Mind.
Dark Mind resides in the X-Dimension, which is sealed off from all other forms of communication. However, this does not mean he is unable to warp people’s minds.
One of the minds he has most successfully warped was a puppet named Geno.
Geno had aided Mario many years ago in defeating Smithy. Why Dark Mind took control of him is unknown.
Dimension X was nothing but a massive, blue, swirling vortex.
A glowing circle appeared, and from that Circle, Geno appeared.
Geno: The task is complete..... The Smashers have been spotted.
Dark Mind: Good.... good. You have served me well, Geno. I am very impressed... your simple mind was quite easy to manipulate.
Geno: I only wish to serve you, master.
Dark Mind: And that, Geno... is all you will do. Now, where are they located?
Geno: They’re at the castle. It has apparently been rebuilt since it was destroyed.
Dark Mind: Hmm.... interesting... interesting indeed.
Geno: Is there anything I should do, master?
Dark Mind: No, not now. Your work is done for the time being.
Geno: Yes, master.
The Smashers had all returned back to where they belonged. Kirby, Meta Knight, and Dedede returned to Dream Land, Yoshi returned to Yoshi’s Island, etc.
Mario was pacing inside the castle. He felt the dark presence. Peach stood in the door way.
Peach: What’s got you all worked up?
Mario: I don’t know. Something just-a doesn’t feel right. I feel-a dark presence.
Peach: I really don’t know what you’re so worried about. You blew Darkrai off the face of Planet Nintendo. He’s gone forever.
Mario: I know that, it’s-a just... I can’t describe it.
Peach: It’s probably just something you ate.
Mario: It’s-a more than that. I-a really can’t describe it.
Dark Mind was watching Mario’s conversation with Peach. He chuckled to himself.
Dark Mind: Hmhmhm... Those fools can sense my presence after all, it seems. Yet they have no idea what it is. This is excellent.
Geno: Shall we begin the assault?
Dark Mind: Hmm.... yes. It may seem early, but the attack on Dream Land will just be the first of many attacks yet to come.
In front of Dark Mind, 4 glowing circles appeared. From those circles, rose each member of Team Star Wolf: Wolf, Pigma, Panther, and Leon.
Dark Mind: Gentlemen, you have been called here today because you have a mission.
Wolf: And what’s that?
Dark Mind: You are going to attack Dream Land.
Panther: You’re joking, right? What for?
Dark Mind: My quest for universal domination begins today. And I’m starting the assault on Dream Land, where a certain pink marshmallow lives. Cause as much damage as you can.
Wolf: As you wish.
The bright circle appeared again and they all went down through it, and reappeared at their headquarters.
Wolf: A’ight, we have a mission now. We were told to attack Dream Land. Let’s go, now. We do not want to disappoint our master.
Wolf and the crew all hopped inside their Arwings, and took off for Dream Land.
