The Dark Side Of The Smash Ball
Book 1 Chapter 1
If you haven't noticed by now, some items in Brawl
don't have a back side. Some examples might be the shield and
of course the much sought after Smash Ball. One may make up some
excuse in their head as to why there's no back, some might just ignore
it. Little do they know of the untapped power that lies behind them. Here's where our story begins.
A soft wind was blowing as he rushed through the forest. Every time he
went through there it seemed different to him, most likely because he
only went to the market every month. Lucario had to stop and jump over
an uprooted tree, only to be smacked in the face by another branch of
a higher tree. "Sometimes I wish I could teleport like Mewtwo, but
then again, he never was good at countering" he thought.
While rushing past the lush bushes, he recollected the most recent
argument with Mewtwo. Lucario pressing that just using double team is
easier than immobilizing a foe, Mewtwo saying that his Disable is
better because once they're frozen, they're dead.
He finally arrived at the town, where he proceeded to the market.
Lucario greeted the usual Goomba, who "owned" the market. After buying
goods for Mewtwo and himself, he glanced up at a shelf where a Maximum
Tomato was placed in a glass case. Lucario said "You ever gonna sell
me that tomato?"
"No way man! You know that's my prized possession! I got it off of
Ness when he came back from Melee!" he snapped back!
"Don't freak out man, its not like an original Bumper or something."
Meanwhile, up in space, Master Hand was having a dilemma. He was afraid
that something would go wrong again once he opened Brawl. He didn't
understand it. He had double checked every stage, every item he had
even created a divine figure to keep peace in the better adventure
mode. Then it hit him. He knew what he had to do. He waited a bit till
the platform of Final Destionation was near the entrance to Fox's
realm, and flew down to find Slippy.
Elsewhere, Link busted through the giant double doors, to find
Ganondorf sitting on the throne. "What the heck! You're here already!
How did... The force field... "
"I found someone who already found the Master Sword!" shouted Link as
Young Link ran through the doors and to Links side. "Myself!"
Ganondorf just stared at the both of them with his jaw dropped until
be finally said "You know what? I quit. Here have your Master Sword
back. Ganondorf used a white glove and picked up the sword and slid it
on the ground towards Link. Then he just stood up and walked away with
tight fists, grumbling out the door.
"That was easy" responded Young Link.
"It was, wasn't it! Things have been going great sense the Shake-Up." he
replied. "Hey, I spoke to Roy the other day and said that all the
Melee'rs were fine."
As you can tell, all has been going fine in the gaming realm. Allies
are helping out each other, all is peaceful. Smash Bros. opened the
door for fighters to interact with each other. Well, until now.
Master Hand took the framework from Slippy, thanked him and returned
to space. Master Hand held a small ball. Completely pitch black, but
empty. "Now" he said "for the power." Master Hand charged up a
gigantic rainbow beam on his two fingertips and aimed for the tiny
sphere. He fired. As he unloaded the raw energy onto the sphere, a
strange thing occurred. All the gaming realms everywhere felt the
planet quake, and a shock wave flickered across the sky. Many felt the raw power being unleashed in one single attack, and trying to be contained in a small sphere.
It was finnally done. Master Hand had finished creating the very first Smash Ball, and had started something bigger than he could ever imagine...
