CHAPTER 5: Encounter with Silver

Dark Mind: Hahaha... Star Wolf managed to do their mission without fail. Excellent... that part went perfectly.
Geno: And Nack/Fang?
Dark Mind: He is of no use to us. He isn’t even part of my conquest.
Geno: Okay, I see.
Dark Mind: Geno, I am sending you to Planet Sega, I have an interest in that Silver the Hedgehog fellow... he could be of use to us with his psychokinetic abilities...
Geno: As you wish, master.
Another circle appeared beneath Geno, and he slowly went through it.
A circle appeared on the lush grass of the Green Hill Zone, and Geno rose from that circle. He looked around from where he was standing, but did not see Silver.
Geno: Master, this “Silver” being you told me about does not seem to be here.
Dark Mind: I know he is there, Geno. Just look hard enough and you will find him.
Geno: Yes, master.
Geno began walking along the Green Hill Zone, looking around for Silver. Some Flickies flew by, purple in colour. After some more walking, a red crab fell from a ledge and landed a few feet away from Geno. The crab walked towards him, snapping its claws. Geno thought nothing of it and continued his search.
Geno eventually came to a cliff, with spikes underneath in a pit below. Above the pit were two floating platforms, similar in appearance to that of the Green Hill Zone’s ground. He jumped on the first platform, then the other, and jumped and landed safely on the ground.
After about 10 more minutes of searching, he finally found Silver, who was resting underneath a palm tree. Geno walked over and stood in front of Silver, waking him up.
Silver: Uh, wha? Who are you?
Geno: My name is Geno, and I need you to come with me.
Silver: Nuh-uh, I’m not coming with you.
Geno: Please, my master insists.
Silver: Your ‘master’? Who’s that?
Geno: That is none of your business. Now please, come with me.
Silver: I’m not going anywhere, puppet.
Geno: If you do not come with me, I will use force.
Silver: Yeah, okay. A puppet is going to attack me. With what? Your tiny cape?
Geno: Do not question what I can do!
Geno slightly lowered his head, and his eyes glowed in a lime green colour. Silver’s body was surrounded by an aura of the same colour, and, lifting his left hand, Geno managed to lift Silver into the air. With a swipe of his hand, Silver went flying towards the right.
Silver: WAAAAH! Ugh!
Geno: With that.
Silver: That’s not how you use psychic powers, puppet boy!
Silver got up and placed his right hand in front of him. The blue rings around his golden wrist bands began to glow, and he lifted a nearby tree, and tossed it at Geno. The puppet moved swiftly to his right, dodging the tree.
Geno: Quite disappointing, Silver. I was expecting more from you.
Silver: Just what is it that you want?!
Geno: It’s not what I want, per se; it’s what my master wants.
Silver: And what does your ‘master’ want?
Geno: My master wants something nobody else could ever hope to obtain. Something even Giygas, the “universal cosmic destroyer”, failed to take, despite how easy it was. He wants everything to start anew; he wants everything to end and start over from the beginning.
Silver: So he wants to create a new universe, in which he will rule?
Geno: That is correct.
Silver: There’s a problem with that; how will he rule it? There’d nothing there to “rule” over.
Geno: He will create newer, better planets. He will place the citizens back on the respective planets, and he will rule over them all.
Silver: So he wants to play god.
Geno: Once his grand conquest is complete, he WILL be a god. There is no doubt about that.
Silver: So what’s stopping him? If he wants the universe and can get it as easily as he makes it seem, he SHOULD be able to take it right now.
Geno: It is not as easy as you would think, Silver. He needs a certain event to happen... something which could never be reversed.
Silver: Good luck with that!
Silver lifted a nearby crate and threw it at Geno, who took it and threw it away.
The fight was on.
