Hey, i have decided to make my FIRST fanfic...and its a love, violent, and hopefully appealing story! (Hopefully this will help me with my... "obsession" problem...)
Chapter One: KIDNAPPED?!
"Hey, MM! MM! Wake up!" a voice yelled. MM was lying in his bed, face down. "C'mon MM!"
"Why so early?" He grumbled," What time is it anyways?"
"Early? It's 10 AM!"The voice called again."Get up! You don't want to be late!" MM opened his eyes wide. He remembered. He sat up and looked at his brother, Rai.
"What time did you say it was?"
"I said 10 AM."
"What?! You should have woken me up sooner!" MM shot out of bed and over to his dresser. He put on the neatest clothes that he could find, a pair of un-ripped jeans and a dress shirt. MM ran downstairs and ate a muffin then ran back upstairs.
"It's funny to watch you rush!" Rai said. MM gave him a look to shut him up. He went into the bathroom and brushed his teeth. "Why is this so important to you anyways?" Rai continued.
"It just is," MM said as he brushed his teeth.
"I think there's more your not telling me...," Rai suspected.
"Look, this is just really important to me," MM argued.
"Uh-huh, sure," Rai said as he left the bathroom. After MM was done brushing, he combed his hair and straightened up his shirt. He talked to himself in the mirror.
"Okay MM...Its not a date....just a little party," He repeated," You just go on with your normal life...talk to her and..."
"Talk to who?"Rai butted in.
"RAI!I need some privacy!"
"OO! MM's got a Crush!" Rai said in a sassy voice.
"No, its just a party!"MM yelled, pushing Rai out of the room.
"Then what was all of that?"
"Just get out!" MM pushed Rai out of the room and slammed the door. "Whew...that was close..."
"What was close, MM?" Rai said and was in his room.
"What? How did you-"
"Action replay," Rai said holding out a AR saying "Real life AR!Hack Life" on the logo. MM scolded Rai and he took the AR away and smashed it. "What was that for?!"
"You don't need this...you'll just get into trouble," MM pointed out."Now Go!" Rai left the room with his head down. He closed the door behind him. "Ugh..." MM grunted. He glanced at his watch. It said 10:40 AM. "10:40?!" MM said astonished. "I need to be there in 20 minutes!" He scrambled around the room getting everything he needed, presents, bathing suit and towel, and his newest addition to his collection, a blade made with a blueish steel. "this will appeal to her, positive." MM walked out the door, looking nice with all his stuff neatly packed in the trunk of his car. He drove away to the party.
When he arrived he unpacked his car and walked into the house. It looked small from the outside but like a mansion on the inside. There was a big open hall to get into the house. Next was the lounge and then there was a really big open area.
"wow....just like in Mario...big open area..." MM said to himself.
"Hey, MM!" A girl called from the distance. MM turned to see a girl in a nice golden orange dress. Her name...Kendra.
"Hey!"MM shouted back. 'Oh god, what else do I say?' "How are ya?
"Great!" Kendra replied. "Come here! I need to introduce you to someone!" MM walked over to Kendra.
"Who you need to introduce me to?" MM asked.
"MM, this is my dad." Kendra announced. In front of MM stood a tall man with big muscles. He had a scruff beard and orange hair, like Kendra's hair.
"Hey, kid!" Mr.L said as he held out his big hand for a handshake.
MM grabbed the hand and shook it," Hi, Mr.L. How ya been?"
"Great, I'm glad you got to come to my daughter's Birthday Party." He spoke in a low tone
"Glad to be here myself!" MM said. His voice was a little shaky.
Mr.L laughed,"I like this kid, he's peppy but not too proud of himself!"
"Thanks, i think...."
"C'mon MM!Lets go meet some more people." Kendra said taking MM by the hand. Kendra took him to the entrance and put his stuff down. All but his sword which was on his back." Whats that on your back?" She asked.
"Oh, its just a new addition to my sword collection."
"Can we look at it?" she asked. MM took it off his back and held it out for Kendra to see. "It's beautiful."
"I call it the frostbite blade because of the blueish tone."MM said.
"We're not in school, you don't have to explain everything." MM put the blade in his right hand and swung it around with ease. Kendra watched from a distance, in admiration.
"ok, who wants to take a risk?" MM asked.
"I will!" Gabe pushed through the crowd.
"Okay, put this little apple on your head. I'm going to snipe that apple off your head with my sword." Gabe did as told. MM aimed his blade and threw it. Gabe squinted as the blade cleanly cut the apple and stopped in the post behind him. "oh yeah..."
Everyone cheered when the power cut for a second. Then there was a window crash. The power came back on and people scattered. They pushed everywhere. "Kendra!"
"MM!"
"I'll come get you!" MM found his blade and ran through the crowd. he scanned for Kendra...Then blackout... Right before he completely went out...he saw something...it was Kendra...and there was a man...a man with white hair...
MM re-awoke and looked around...He saw that everyone was around him..."What happened?"
"You got clubbed by a weird man." Mia told MM.
"huh...that right?" MM said."ugh... headache."
"You seem, to be okay." Matt pointed out.
"Wheres Kendra?" MM asked out of desperation. Everyone looked around and didn't see her. Soon Mr.L walked up. "Mr.L...where is she?"
"Kendra....was kidnapped....," Mr.L said in a soft tone.
"WHAT?!KIDNAPPED?!"
Chapter Two: The Man in Armor
"I've got to go find her!"MM announced.
"But MM-," Mia started, but MM was already grabbing his things. He Ran out of the building with some of his friends after him. He got in his car.
"C'mon, MM!This is suicide!"Gabe yelled.
"Then i can say i died for her," MM said as he closed the convertible's door.
"Don't be an idiot!"Parker screamed.
"Too late."MM drove away. He returned to his house and ran inside. "I'll need all my weapons, some food and a change of clothes." MM rached the top of the stairs and swung his bedroom door open and began collecting some clothes.
"what you up to?" Rai asked as he barged in.
"Not now, Rai, i have no time on my hands." MM stated in a rushed voice.
"why?" Rai asked.
"I don't have time for your dumb questions!" MM said as he gathered more things.
"But..." Rai started.
"LOOK!my girlfriend just got kidnapped!I need to go save her!STOP DISTRACTING ME!" MM flipped out.
"oh...sorry...." Rai said.
"I need to gather some more things...more private...." MM pulled a huge chest out from under his bed. He opened it and it opened into a really long platform with weapons everywhere.
"WHOA!Where did you get those?!" Rai said astonished.
"Remember when I said I was buying a new suit on E-Bay? Well I lied...I bought all this stuff for a collection of weaponry...but get out please." MM said. Rai left. "Lets see...I'll need a war bow, a dagger, some poison tipped knives, my frostbite blade, My claw gauntlets, and this weird stone. Its all icy. I'll take it anyways." MM suited up and was ready to go. He held the stone in his hand and looked at it. He put it in his pocket. He looked in the mirror and saw a man. A man fully suited and ready to go. He smiled. "Ready to go...Time to get in my car."
MM went outside and saw that his car was smashed. It looked like it ha been shot with arrows and then beat down. "My Car!Bah, I'll walk!My top priority, Save Kendra!" MM ran by foot into the Midnight Woods.
These woods weren't any ordinary woods. These woods harvest great power and some lethal enemies for the untrained. MM continued on in the woods, swung around his sword a bit. then he heard a rustle in the bushes. He looked around and put his hand on the handle of the Frostbite Blade. He continued on. When it reached Dusk, MM agreed to stop at the Ring of Midnight. The Ring of Midnight is an open area in the eye of the forest that is said to possesses powers. Most people think its just a rumor. They think its just a spot there the moon's light fills the exact circumference of the area. MM heard another rustle. Me pulled out his blade. He kept it out as he kept walking.
MM reached The Ring of Midnight and marked it as base camp for the evening. He built up his fire and used leaves in a pillow case as a pillow. He pulled over a log near the fire and he used it as a seat. While he was warming his hands he heard the rustle but thought nothing of it. Soon he heard footsteps coming closer. He took out his Dagger. He continued with his dagger in his hand as if nothing happened. CLASH! There was a moment of silence. MM's hand was put out behind him with the dagger and there was a Man in Black armor that had his katana against MM's Dagger.
"I see you've been following me."MM said in a serious tone.
"Decent reaction time for a kid." The man said.
MM smirked," So why are you after me?"
"You are number 2 on My master's hit list." The man said.
"Why me, and who's number one?"
"Some girl named Kendra." the black knight said, confused.MM opened his eyes wide. He sprung up and pointed his dagger at the knight.
"What do you know about her?!" MM yelled.
"Nothing, just that he doesn't want you o interfere."
"Well, lets see what you got!" MM began to stand in a bobbing stance.
"You seriously gonna fight with that?" The knight chuckled.
"Want me to get a bigger one?" MM pulled out his frostbite blade. "Lets end this." The both of them charged into battle. MM swung first and clipped the guys armor. He then swung for the neck but was blocked by the knight with ease."Ya got good reaction time, but can you keep up with me?" MM then ran at the knight but was smacked down.
"You seriously thought you could beat me with that tactic?HA! you got to do better than that, MM."
"Huh?! How do you know my name?!" MM gasped.
"How else? You are my mission...Who am i? The correct answer is in one of these 25 Suitcases."
"OOO!I want 14! Go with 14!" MM shouted.
"WRONG! I'm sorry but i have to kill you!"
"Dang..." MM said sadly. "If my tactics stink then what are your tactics?"
"I'll show you!" said the black knight. He charged at MM and when MM was about to counter, the man jumped over him and slashed him in the back.
"ARGH!" MM screamed.
"See?"The man said.
"I will take you out." MM said with no trace of mercy in his voice. MM put away his blade and drew his dagger again. He charged at the knight and right when he looked like he was going to try to stab the knight, he threw a non- poisoned knife into his stomach."How does that feel?" He then jumped over the knight and stabbed and left the dagger in the knights armored back.
"You'll pay for those two attacks." The knight then threw his sword into MM's shoulder. MM fell on his knees.
"Gah!You Idiot!You gave up your weapon!" MM snickered.
"Oh really?" the knight replied. The moonlight shined on a chain that was attached to the sword."One tug of this chain and i can rip your arm off!"
It was 11:59 PM...05 seconds to 12:00. 04, 03, 02, 01... 12:00.
Chapter Three: The Midnight Hours
The sword still in his shoulder, MM began to stop feeling pain. The sword suddenly expelled itself from his body.
"What's happening?" MM questioned. The cut on his shoulder was completely healed, as if it wasn't cut at all. Every single scratch on MM's body was gone. Then The dagger expelled from the Knights body.
"What the-?!"The knight began to say.
"I might not know what this is but I'm going to take advantage of it!"MM charged at the knight and stabbed him in the stomach. The knight backed up for a second and felt pain. Then the pain went away and his cut was healed. "You too?!"
"Heh...this should be fun." the knight said. The knight then slashed MM with an uppercut which sent Blood all around. Then the blood disappeared. And MM's wound was gone. MM smirked and then they went into a battle. A long one too! blood went everywhere, but not a scratch was left on either of the fighters. The moon prevented wounds. MM then cut the knights arm off."ARGH!"
he yelped. Then the arm got up on its fingers and disappeared into thin air. The knight's arm regenerated.
"That's REALLY Unfair." MM pointed out. MM then got into a longer fight with the knight. still unable to lay a scratch on him. 34 minutes had passed and the fighters were both tired. They were panting and had no weapon drawn.
"I think I figured it out." the knight said.
"Oh really?" MM said in a sarcastic voice.
"Yeah, remember the legend that everyone speaks of? The one where this area has mystical powers? I think this is the fact now. Every night at exactly midnight, the moon fills this ring perfectly. The moon then releases a cosmic power. It heals your wounds, it makes you invulnerable." the knight began." This lasts until 12:59. At 1:00 the affect will fade and you will be returned to being a mortal."
"No duh!"We've been fighting for 40 minutes now...and you just figured that out?" MM said.
"Well what if the reader didn't get it? What would happen then huh?!"
"Whatever, since we can lay a hit on each other, what you say we call it a Truce?" MM suggested. "Truce?"
"Truce"The knight replied. The knight sat down and MM sat next to him.
"So why are you trying to kill me again?" MM asked.
"I don't know anymore...It was originally so you wouldn't get in the way of his plans...but now i think that he just wanted to get rid of me."
"I see, my guess is he's been watching me. Otherwise, how would he know who and where I'd be?" MM stated."and whats your name, knight?"
"My name..."He began. He removed his helmet and said," My name is Sour Y. Aku. Call me Sour. I was a pawn in his plan. Yet i don't get why he'd want me gone. I am, well was, his best swordsman."
"Never trust anybody with greedy needs. They promise and then they don't go with it."MM said.
"Now i must defeat him. He has tried to kill me so i have to swear to kill him. Since you are trying to get your Girl back, mind if i join you on your quest?" Sour asked.
"Sure, come along!" MM gleefully said.
YES! You've recruited Sour!
"Uh....what the heck are you doing?" Sour inquired. MM was standing up with his arms out.
"Oh, whoops...I thought this was Paper Mario..." MM said. "Base camp will be here, and we will move to the mountains tomorrow..."
"Got it."
The two went out to go find supplies that they could use for their trip. Sour went west looking for any rivers or water supplies.and MM went north-east for berries. They regrouped at base camp, 20 minutes later.
"Got anything?" Sour asked.
"Yeah, some berries." MM said.
"There's a river about 1/2 a mile from here."
"That's great...hey, sour, you ever get the feeling that we're being watched?" MM asked.
"Not right now no..." Sour said.
"Hm...maybe its just me..." MM said." Well im going in for the night. Put out the fire when your done."
MM went to sleep and Sour soon followed.
"So, they figured out my plan of Sours death...well i have more tricks up my sleeve...they'll have lots more to go through than this...and as for the mountains...hehehehehehehehe....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

Chapter Four:The Lone Archer
The next morning was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining, there was a cool breeze, and there were birds chirping. MM awoke to Sour yelling into the tent.
"Hey, MM!We got to get moving!We got lots of ground to cover!" Sour yelled. MM moaned and sat up. He glanced at the sun's position and determined that it was 8:00 AM.
"Why so early?" MM asked, rubbing his eyes. "Are we off to somewhere far?"
"Yes, in fact, we are. We are headed to the Gallows Mountains. We will set camp at the cave that is located about half way up the mountain." Sour began.
"Gallows Mountain...I don't like the sound of that," MM muttered to himself.
"Once we touch base camp we will gather food for the night and take shifts to be awake." Sour said.
"Why do we take shifts to stay awake? What for?" MM questioned.
"I bet my master has figured out that we are headed to the mountains." Sour stated.
"Then why don't we just go somewhere he wouldn't suspect?" MM inquired.
"Because," Sour whispered,"we are still being watched." MM glanced around and eventually saw the light shimmer from an arrow. There was a sound of a stretching bow string. MM looked in that spot again. "Look out!" he yelled as he dove and dodged the arrow. Tons of arrows were coming out of the trees and Sour was helping MM dodge them bye throwing him left and right.
"Dang all these arrows!" Sour yelled, still dodging.
"What's shooting them?" MM asked, also dodging arrows.
"If i have this all correct, its servants, or minions from my opinion, of my master. these specific ones are called Chylodeons. Chylodeons are an upgraded form of Deons which are archers. we need to get them of our tail, ready to fight? One fair combo can take 'em all out!" Sour said. He explained the combo to MM.
"Alright, lets do this!" MM shouted. "On three. One, Two, Three!" MM took out his poison-tipped knives and Sour spun him in a circle by the legs. Sour had a fast enough speed for MM to let go of the knives and have them go in all different directions. Each knife stuck into a Chylodeon and slowly killed them with the toxin. MM walked over to each fallen body and took his knife out of them and reused them. "I don't waste these." MM put them in his weapon coat.
"Well, now that that's over with, lets go to the Gallows Mountains." Sour said. The two headed off through the woods with no more interruptions. Along the way they saw strange tracks on the ground. They were big and bulky footprints. It's depth showed that it was surely a heavy creature.
They Cleared the woods and ended up on a clear pasture. Only animals were there. no minions, no traps, nothing at all but nature. "The mountains are just a few minutes away if we keep a stead pace."Sour said.
"Where? I don't see any mountains?" MM asked.
"It might help if you weren't looking down all the time. Why are you so down anyways?" Sour pointed out.MM looked up to see this HUGE mountain range.
"Whoa..." MM said, astonished by the size.
"MM!Why are you so down?"
"Huh? Oh, just thinking about Kendra. It's partly my fault an i know that. I could have saved her if i didn't hesitate to go get her. If i didn't go to get my sword." MM said.
"I bet it wasn't your fault. you need to stop blaming yourself." Sour said, trying to cheer MM up.
"I can't deny the truth." MM Sadly said.
"MM..." Sour ran out of things to say. they reached the mountain. "I guess we better start climbing, huh?"
"Yeah, i guess we should." MM said. The two began to scale the mountain. Rocks tumbled but they were able to dodge. MM lost his footing but Sour caught him. "Thanks."
"No problem." Sour gleefully said. They kept going up and then when they reached the quarter mark point up the mountain, they stopped for a quick breath. "Huff, Huff, how did I get sucked into this?"
MM recalled,"Read Chapter 2-4 and you'll get it, and the mountain was your idea!" After the break, the two continued on up the mountain. Soon they reached their goal area. "Finally! Huff, huff. That was annoying!"
"Yeah," Sour said," it was! Look! There's the cave i was talking about. We'll set up camp in there."
"You sure nothing lives in there," MM said.
"Positive," Sour said confidently. The duo went into the cave and they checked for any animals. There were none. They set base camp and then they went out and looked for supplies. When they regrouped they were greeted by an uninvited guest, A Mountain troll. "Hey, MM, was he one of our room mates?"
"I would hope not." MM chuckled. "We need to get him out of the way. want to take him out or shall I?"
"You need lits of power to take a troll out!" Sour explained.
"Psh, cant be that hard!" MM ran at the troll and threw a poison knife in it. The knife didn't even penetrate the skin. The troll threw it back with Massive power. It stuck in MM and he collapsed on the ground.
"MM!"Sour yelped." You'll pay for that!" Sour unleashed a frenzy on the Troll doing no damage what so ever. He was just smacked away. "Dang, this is a tough troll." He ran at it again but was just slammed into the ground this time. "ARGH!" Sour screamed. The troll then took out a Spiked Club and clubbed Sour into a wall. He coughed out blood. The troll raised its club again. Then the sound of an arrow pierced the air and then a yelp of a troll. An unknown figure jumped off a higher cliff and laded on the trolls shoulder. The figure shot two more arrows into its neck and it fell over, dead.
Blackout.
Sour re-awoke in the cave with a man next to him.
"You were clubbed pretty hard." he said.
"huh?What happened?" Sour asked.
"Stay down, both you and your friend are in a bad condition. Lucky I got there When i did!" He chuckled.
"MM? MM! Is he okay?" Sour questioned.
"Yes, yes. I've already extracted the poison."
"Good...argh..." Sour groaned.
"Stay down. you need to rest." The man spoke in a low tone.
"Who...who are you?" Sour inquired.
"I'm David, and I'm a Archer."

"what you up to?" Rai asked as he barged in.
"Not now, Rai, i have no time on my hands." MM stated in a rushed voice.
"why?" Rai asked.
"I don't have time for your dumb questions!" MM said as he gathered more things.
"But..." Rai started.
"LOOK!my girlfriend just got kidnapped!I need to go save her!STOP DISTRACTING ME!" MM flipped out.
"oh...sorry...." Rai said.
"I need to gather some more things...more private...." MM pulled a huge chest out from under his bed. He opened it and it opened into a really long platform with weapons everywhere.
"WHOA!Where did you get those?!" Rai said astonished.
"Remember when I said I was buying a new suit on E-Bay? Well I lied...I bought all this stuff for a collection of weaponry...but get out please." MM said. Rai left. "Lets see...I'll need a war bow, a dagger, some poison tipped knives, my frostbite blade, My claw gauntlets, and this weird stone. Its all icy. I'll take it anyways." MM suited up and was ready to go. He held the stone in his hand and looked at it. He put it in his pocket. He looked in the mirror and saw a man. A man fully suited and ready to go. He smiled. "Ready to go...Time to get in my car."
MM went outside and saw that his car was smashed. It looked like it ha been shot with arrows and then beat down. "My Car!Bah, I'll walk!My top priority, Save Kendra!" MM ran by foot into the Midnight Woods.
These woods weren't any ordinary woods. These woods harvest great power and some lethal enemies for the untrained. MM continued on in the woods, swung around his sword a bit. then he heard a rustle in the bushes. He looked around and put his hand on the handle of the Frostbite Blade. He continued on. When it reached Dusk, MM agreed to stop at the Ring of Midnight. The Ring of Midnight is an open area in the eye of the forest that is said to possesses powers. Most people think its just a rumor. They think its just a spot there the moon's light fills the exact circumference of the area. MM heard another rustle. Me pulled out his blade. He kept it out as he kept walking.
MM reached The Ring of Midnight and marked it as base camp for the evening. He built up his fire and used leaves in a pillow case as a pillow. He pulled over a log near the fire and he used it as a seat. While he was warming his hands he heard the rustle but thought nothing of it. Soon he heard footsteps coming closer. He took out his Dagger. He continued with his dagger in his hand as if nothing happened. CLASH! There was a moment of silence. MM's hand was put out behind him with the dagger and there was a Man in Black armor that had his katana against MM's Dagger.
"I see you've been following me."MM said in a serious tone.
"Decent reaction time for a kid." The man said.
MM smirked," So why are you after me?"
"You are number 2 on My master's hit list." The man said.
"Why me, and who's number one?"
"Some girl named Kendra." the black knight said, confused.MM opened his eyes wide. He sprung up and pointed his dagger at the knight.
"What do you know about her?!" MM yelled.
"Nothing, just that he doesn't want you o interfere."
"Well, lets see what you got!" MM began to stand in a bobbing stance.
"You seriously gonna fight with that?" The knight chuckled.
"Want me to get a bigger one?" MM pulled out his frostbite blade. "Lets end this." The both of them charged into battle. MM swung first and clipped the guys armor. He then swung for the neck but was blocked by the knight with ease."Ya got good reaction time, but can you keep up with me?" MM then ran at the knight but was smacked down.
"You seriously thought you could beat me with that tactic?HA! you got to do better than that, MM."
"Huh?! How do you know my name?!" MM gasped.
"How else? You are my mission...Who am i? The correct answer is in one of these 25 Suitcases."
"OOO!I want 14! Go with 14!" MM shouted.
"WRONG! I'm sorry but i have to kill you!"
"Dang..." MM said sadly. "If my tactics stink then what are your tactics?"
"I'll show you!" said the black knight. He charged at MM and when MM was about to counter, the man jumped over him and slashed him in the back.
"ARGH!" MM screamed.
"See?"The man said.
"I will take you out." MM said with no trace of mercy in his voice. MM put away his blade and drew his dagger again. He charged at the knight and right when he looked like he was going to try to stab the knight, he threw a non- poisoned knife into his stomach."How does that feel?" He then jumped over the knight and stabbed and left the dagger in the knights armored back.
"You'll pay for those two attacks." The knight then threw his sword into MM's shoulder. MM fell on his knees.
"Gah!You Idiot!You gave up your weapon!" MM snickered.
"Oh really?" the knight replied. The moonlight shined on a chain that was attached to the sword."One tug of this chain and i can rip your arm off!"
It was 11:59 PM...05 seconds to 12:00. 04, 03, 02, 01... 12:00.
Chapter Three: The Midnight Hours
The sword still in his shoulder, MM began to stop feeling pain. The sword suddenly expelled itself from his body.
"What's happening?" MM questioned. The cut on his shoulder was completely healed, as if it wasn't cut at all. Every single scratch on MM's body was gone. Then The dagger expelled from the Knights body.
"What the-?!"The knight began to say.
"I might not know what this is but I'm going to take advantage of it!"MM charged at the knight and stabbed him in the stomach. The knight backed up for a second and felt pain. Then the pain went away and his cut was healed. "You too?!"
"Heh...this should be fun." the knight said. The knight then slashed MM with an uppercut which sent Blood all around. Then the blood disappeared. And MM's wound was gone. MM smirked and then they went into a battle. A long one too! blood went everywhere, but not a scratch was left on either of the fighters. The moon prevented wounds. MM then cut the knights arm off."ARGH!"
he yelped. Then the arm got up on its fingers and disappeared into thin air. The knight's arm regenerated.
"That's REALLY Unfair." MM pointed out. MM then got into a longer fight with the knight. still unable to lay a scratch on him. 34 minutes had passed and the fighters were both tired. They were panting and had no weapon drawn.
"I think I figured it out." the knight said.
"Oh really?" MM said in a sarcastic voice.
"Yeah, remember the legend that everyone speaks of? The one where this area has mystical powers? I think this is the fact now. Every night at exactly midnight, the moon fills this ring perfectly. The moon then releases a cosmic power. It heals your wounds, it makes you invulnerable." the knight began." This lasts until 12:59. At 1:00 the affect will fade and you will be returned to being a mortal."
"No duh!"We've been fighting for 40 minutes now...and you just figured that out?" MM said.
"Well what if the reader didn't get it? What would happen then huh?!"
"Whatever, since we can lay a hit on each other, what you say we call it a Truce?" MM suggested. "Truce?"
"Truce"The knight replied. The knight sat down and MM sat next to him.
"So why are you trying to kill me again?" MM asked.
"I don't know anymore...It was originally so you wouldn't get in the way of his plans...but now i think that he just wanted to get rid of me."
"I see, my guess is he's been watching me. Otherwise, how would he know who and where I'd be?" MM stated."and whats your name, knight?"
"My name..."He began. He removed his helmet and said," My name is Sour Y. Aku. Call me Sour. I was a pawn in his plan. Yet i don't get why he'd want me gone. I am, well was, his best swordsman."
"Never trust anybody with greedy needs. They promise and then they don't go with it."MM said.
"Now i must defeat him. He has tried to kill me so i have to swear to kill him. Since you are trying to get your Girl back, mind if i join you on your quest?" Sour asked.
"Sure, come along!" MM gleefully said.
YES! You've recruited Sour!
"Uh....what the heck are you doing?" Sour inquired. MM was standing up with his arms out.
"Oh, whoops...I thought this was Paper Mario..." MM said. "Base camp will be here, and we will move to the mountains tomorrow..."
"Got it."
The two went out to go find supplies that they could use for their trip. Sour went west looking for any rivers or water supplies.and MM went north-east for berries. They regrouped at base camp, 20 minutes later.
"Got anything?" Sour asked.
"Yeah, some berries." MM said.
"There's a river about 1/2 a mile from here."
"That's great...hey, sour, you ever get the feeling that we're being watched?" MM asked.
"Not right now no..." Sour said.
"Hm...maybe its just me..." MM said." Well im going in for the night. Put out the fire when your done."
MM went to sleep and Sour soon followed.
"So, they figured out my plan of Sours death...well i have more tricks up my sleeve...they'll have lots more to go through than this...and as for the mountains...hehehehehehehehe....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

Chapter Four:The Lone Archer
The next morning was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining, there was a cool breeze, and there were birds chirping. MM awoke to Sour yelling into the tent.
"Hey, MM!We got to get moving!We got lots of ground to cover!" Sour yelled. MM moaned and sat up. He glanced at the sun's position and determined that it was 8:00 AM.
"Why so early?" MM asked, rubbing his eyes. "Are we off to somewhere far?"
"Yes, in fact, we are. We are headed to the Gallows Mountains. We will set camp at the cave that is located about half way up the mountain." Sour began.
"Gallows Mountain...I don't like the sound of that," MM muttered to himself.
"Once we touch base camp we will gather food for the night and take shifts to be awake." Sour said.
"Why do we take shifts to stay awake? What for?" MM questioned.
"I bet my master has figured out that we are headed to the mountains." Sour stated.
"Then why don't we just go somewhere he wouldn't suspect?" MM inquired.
"Because," Sour whispered,"we are still being watched." MM glanced around and eventually saw the light shimmer from an arrow. There was a sound of a stretching bow string. MM looked in that spot again. "Look out!" he yelled as he dove and dodged the arrow. Tons of arrows were coming out of the trees and Sour was helping MM dodge them bye throwing him left and right.
"Dang all these arrows!" Sour yelled, still dodging.
"What's shooting them?" MM asked, also dodging arrows.
"If i have this all correct, its servants, or minions from my opinion, of my master. these specific ones are called Chylodeons. Chylodeons are an upgraded form of Deons which are archers. we need to get them of our tail, ready to fight? One fair combo can take 'em all out!" Sour said. He explained the combo to MM.
"Alright, lets do this!" MM shouted. "On three. One, Two, Three!" MM took out his poison-tipped knives and Sour spun him in a circle by the legs. Sour had a fast enough speed for MM to let go of the knives and have them go in all different directions. Each knife stuck into a Chylodeon and slowly killed them with the toxin. MM walked over to each fallen body and took his knife out of them and reused them. "I don't waste these." MM put them in his weapon coat.
"Well, now that that's over with, lets go to the Gallows Mountains." Sour said. The two headed off through the woods with no more interruptions. Along the way they saw strange tracks on the ground. They were big and bulky footprints. It's depth showed that it was surely a heavy creature.
They Cleared the woods and ended up on a clear pasture. Only animals were there. no minions, no traps, nothing at all but nature. "The mountains are just a few minutes away if we keep a stead pace."Sour said.
"Where? I don't see any mountains?" MM asked.
"It might help if you weren't looking down all the time. Why are you so down anyways?" Sour pointed out.MM looked up to see this HUGE mountain range.
"Whoa..." MM said, astonished by the size.
"MM!Why are you so down?"
"Huh? Oh, just thinking about Kendra. It's partly my fault an i know that. I could have saved her if i didn't hesitate to go get her. If i didn't go to get my sword." MM said.
"I bet it wasn't your fault. you need to stop blaming yourself." Sour said, trying to cheer MM up.
"I can't deny the truth." MM Sadly said.
"MM..." Sour ran out of things to say. they reached the mountain. "I guess we better start climbing, huh?"
"Yeah, i guess we should." MM said. The two began to scale the mountain. Rocks tumbled but they were able to dodge. MM lost his footing but Sour caught him. "Thanks."
"No problem." Sour gleefully said. They kept going up and then when they reached the quarter mark point up the mountain, they stopped for a quick breath. "Huff, Huff, how did I get sucked into this?"
MM recalled,"Read Chapter 2-4 and you'll get it, and the mountain was your idea!" After the break, the two continued on up the mountain. Soon they reached their goal area. "Finally! Huff, huff. That was annoying!"
"Yeah," Sour said," it was! Look! There's the cave i was talking about. We'll set up camp in there."
"You sure nothing lives in there," MM said.
"Positive," Sour said confidently. The duo went into the cave and they checked for any animals. There were none. They set base camp and then they went out and looked for supplies. When they regrouped they were greeted by an uninvited guest, A Mountain troll. "Hey, MM, was he one of our room mates?"
"I would hope not." MM chuckled. "We need to get him out of the way. want to take him out or shall I?"
"You need lits of power to take a troll out!" Sour explained.
"Psh, cant be that hard!" MM ran at the troll and threw a poison knife in it. The knife didn't even penetrate the skin. The troll threw it back with Massive power. It stuck in MM and he collapsed on the ground.
"MM!"Sour yelped." You'll pay for that!" Sour unleashed a frenzy on the Troll doing no damage what so ever. He was just smacked away. "Dang, this is a tough troll." He ran at it again but was just slammed into the ground this time. "ARGH!" Sour screamed. The troll then took out a Spiked Club and clubbed Sour into a wall. He coughed out blood. The troll raised its club again. Then the sound of an arrow pierced the air and then a yelp of a troll. An unknown figure jumped off a higher cliff and laded on the trolls shoulder. The figure shot two more arrows into its neck and it fell over, dead.
Blackout.
Sour re-awoke in the cave with a man next to him.
"You were clubbed pretty hard." he said.
"huh?What happened?" Sour asked.
"Stay down, both you and your friend are in a bad condition. Lucky I got there When i did!" He chuckled.
"MM? MM! Is he okay?" Sour questioned.
"Yes, yes. I've already extracted the poison."
"Good...argh..." Sour groaned.
"Stay down. you need to rest." The man spoke in a low tone.
"Who...who are you?" Sour inquired.
"I'm David, and I'm a Archer."
