I found this story on my computer as I was organizing files. This story is not really a fanfic, but I did take some ideas from Yu-Gi-Oh and the book "On Basilisk Station" This was written 2 years ago; my writing has been improved since then, I know back then my grammar was not that great along with my description. The reason why I rushed into parts of the story was that it was due in class; teacher did not make an exception to wait. Also, the "****" was a way to protect personal info of my location. Feel free to comment or critique.
My World
Chapter 1
I am 14 years old and a girl. I live in *****, Alaska. Since I really don’t do anything I just like to get my schoolwork done. Also, I am a tomboy. My life mostly just revolves around my computer. My computer has lots of information on it that I have stored. So it is basically my mind that I have stored. If I was able to I would use my computer all day long, but I can’t.
Then, when I am bored and alone I go to my world. It is a different dimension of Earth. My world is a realm that when you enter there is purple fog. Also when I enter my body changes. I turn albino and there are other people in the realm. The name of my world is “Dartz.” My name was Sharpay and I was their ruler. My world was peaceful and a great place to live. It would be great if the people on Earth would go here instead of there.
My world was very advanced. We were ahead in technology by at least 3,000 years. I was chosen ruler because we had a ritual where we would play a game called “Mind Games.” Mind Games was when of how long you can suffer with people playing with your mind. It hurts a lot, but somehow I was able to deal with the pain. I will never forget the feeling of it. During that time I wished I could die. It is very rare to have a female ruler. I aged a lot and I was 24 years old.
The children were born with High School knowledge and when they were 5 years old they started college. In my world you can go to college for free because we need college graduate employees. On planet Earth there was a tool called computers. In my world computers are ancient and we had them built in our heads. We also have a transporting device that gets us to different places in just under 5 seconds. That is how I go back to Earth. Lets go back to the beginning when I found out about Dartz. I was 10 years old and living a good life. My name was Shan on planet Earth. During that time I did not even know that Dartz existed. I lived in ****. It is a small village with 550 to 600 people. I was at the beach fishing. Then, I saw a bright flash that blinded me for a couple of seconds. After the flash was gone a person was there. The person was a man who was about 30 years old. He asked me, “Is this Dartz?”
I asked, “What are you talking about?”
He said, “I need to go back.”
So I followed him and he did not know about it. Next, I went through this bright flash again and I saw purple fog. My body started to change and I was getting scared. My hair was turning white so I thought I was aging fast. After a minute went by I was in a peaceful place. I looked in a mirror and saw that my eyes were red and my hair was white. Also, I looked a little bit older. I was 20 years old. I found out that I was in a planet called “Dartz.” Dartz was advanced in technology than Earth is. The people on Dartz looks the same as the ones on Earth.
Except, there were little kids that were attending college. What was strange was that I got a transporting device for free. Every person gets one. So I can come back to Dartz anytime I wanted to. The transporting device was like a remote controller for a television. It also came with maps and I found out that I was in dimension number 1. There are 12 dimensions total. I went around dimension number 1 and I got a calendar with events that are on it. There was an event called “Mind Games for Ruler Ritual.” It was 11 days away until the event happens. I asked a person about it. They told me that it is a ritual to see who the next ruler would be. Anybody can join if they want to.
So, after a while of thinking about it I decided to join in the ritual so that I might be the next ruler. I was getting tired so I used my transporting device to go back home on planet Earth. Then, I looked at my watch I was gone for over 7 hours. I had a hard time sleeping that night because I just kept on thinking of what I did during the day on Dartz. Finally, after a while I fell asleep. The next day I went to Dartz again and learn more about the planet. This time I went to dimension number 5. When I was there I got myself an identification card and I changed my name to Sharpay.
Also, I found out that people have built in computers in their head. I decided to get one. It took 3 hours to get it in my head. The computer had lots of information. Automatically I learned about Dartz just from using the computer that is in my head. Just 10 more days until Mind Games begins and I was getting nervous. I was now called a citizen of Dartz. Life seemed great on Dartz. There was no war it was just peace. Nuclear bombs were considered ancient.
If there were a problem they would have meetings to solve it instead of killing people and destroying things. So I sat down on a bench and used my computer in my head for fun. I can send e-mails to people and get information on all of my questions. I did not need to comprehend it, it just it put into my brain. Dartz was just like Earth.
Next, I went to a mall and their fashion was almost the same as Earth. Almost everyone wore a fancy suit which you see people on Earth wear them when they are at work. I found one that I liked, so I was going to purchase it. I did not have any money, but I found out that they use your identification card that was like a credit card. A new citizen of Dartz gets 4,000 dollars in their account and it is on their identification card. So, I bought the suit that costs $149.00. Then, I had to go back home I was gone for over 12 hours and I was getting tired. The 10 days went by fast. I went back to Dartz on the day when the Mind Games were going to start. Only 30 people joined including me. The ruler was a man who was in his 40’s. He said, ‘Contestants kneel on the ground. Relax and good luck.”
I kneeled on the ground and I started to feel dizzy. My head was going through different feelings. I closed my eyes to see if that would help. It really did not help it just made it worse. So, I opened my eyes. 15 minutes went by and I started to cry because it hurts a lot. About half of the contestants gave up. I was still in the ritual suffering. I wished I could kill myself, but I can’t. So, I just dealt with the pain. Then, I won the ritual. I was the ruler of Dartz. Everyone was taking pictures and screaming that they have a new ruler. The previous ruler brought me to the mansion of where I would be staying. He congratulated me. He said, “Good luck as a ruler and you will have no limits with money.”
I was excited and felt very tired. When I was in the mansion I just fell on the floor and fell asleep. After a while I woke up. Now Dartz was my world. Today I was getting settled in my new home. Lots of people wanted to meet me. Most of the women were happy that they have a female ruler, which is rare for that to happen. I told everyone that I came from a planet called Earth.
Most of the people were curious about it. During the evening I go back to Earth, so that my parents won’t think that something happened to me. They never knew anything about Dartz. Life was fun. Everyday I went back to Dartz so I can be present in meetings.
Then, I turned 21 years old on the Dartz planet. For my birthday I went to a concert that you can just stay home and watch. The concert was holographic singers. After a while I found out that I was the youngest female ruler of Dartz. Most of the people loved my ways of how I ruled Dartz. I was working on a plan to see if the people on planet Earth can come to Dartz and live here. My assistant Lydia who was just 2 years older than me supported my plan. Lydia had red hair and she knows my schedule. She goes to every meeting that I attend. On Earth she would be 13 years old. 3 years went by fast. I was still the ruler of Dartz and that was when everything changed. Since I was the ruler of Dartz I decided not to return to my home in ****. My parents were wondering of what happened to me. I did not worry at all. I had other things to worry.
Dartz had gotten noticed on Earth. The people on Earth were questioning of what is Dartz. Somehow the people on Earth found who the ruler was; which was me. I was on the television everywhere on Earth. I ordered my security to make sure that the people on Earth cannot access the dimensions. The people at Dartz were getting scared, but I was protecting them. So they were safe. I decided to use my transporting device to go back to Earth. I was away from my parents for over 3 years. Now, I am 17 years old. Also, I found out that the people on Earth are preparing a war against my world. I was in New York telling people that they should not fight. In my head I knew that my world was going to win because we are advanced. The people were thinking that I was out of my head. I sent an e-mail to my security and assistant. Next, I was trying to convince the people on Earth that Dartz is friendly. Somehow when I got mad I changed to myself the way I looked when I was in Dartz. Now everyone saw me as the ruler. Everyone was after me so I used my transporting device. I went back to Dartz. Later I went to meetings to let people know that we might go into war in the future. Every one was talking about it. I did not get any sleep, so when my security guards were protecting me my assistant Lydia was checking to see it I was awake. She asked, “Do you know where we are at?”
I said, “I don’t know, I just woke up.”
Then, Lydia and I were laughing. I said to her, “I wish the people on Earth knew that we are friendly people. They also might think we are aliens.”
I talked with my people at Dartz to see if we can make weapons to that we know that we are protected. My advisors told me that they would come up with a plan. After the meeting I went back to my mansion. That evening I started to hate the people on Earth. Dartz was now my home. It is a much better place than Earth. To protect my world I might have to start a war on Earth. I had to stop thinking about the war. Then, I went to dimension number 11. In my head I received e-mail. It was from my security center. It mentioned that they are developing weapons. The weapons were advanced and guaranteed to destroy Earth. I told the people of Dartz that they are safe and they don’t need to worry about Earth bothering us. Everyone was cheering at me and they were happy. On my free time I thought of taking singing lessons. I was able to attend singing lesson 2 times a week. It is not much because I have been busy. After a while I started to think why would Earth would want to destroy us, we have not done anything to them. I would fight against my own people on Earth, but I did not care. Lydia came to me and said, “Sharpay your advisors needs to meet with you in an hour.”
I said to her, “Fine, I will be there.”
Lydia left and then I received e-mail. It was from someone on Earth because the address said from the United States. The e-mail stated, “Sharpay, surrender now or suffer the consequences. If you do not surrender war will start in 5 years. “
There was no name on the e-mail. Then, I hurried to get to my advisors and told them about the e-mail that I received. They ordered my security center to start working on the weapons. The security center was going right to the order requested. My advisors discussed with me to make a deal with the people at Dartz to pay each person $90,000.00 when they join our team to defeat Earth. We will approve the deal in 2 years. So I have lots of time to think it over. I returned to my mansion and I met a 28-year-old man who was my new employee. He was also albino. Then, he introduced himself. He said, “My name is Maximillion. I am your new employee.”
I said, “Nice to meet you.”
He asked, “Do you know anything about the war?”
I said, “Yes, we might go to war in 5 years or less. That is all I know for right now.”
He said, “Don’t worry about it. I am sure something will make you not to think about it.”
I decided to take a break from being a ruler and just be myself. For 4 days I stayed in my mansion. During that time I have been talking to Maximillion. He got to know that I was from Earth. He was shocked and happy that I am the ruler at Dartz. Then, he said, “When I found out that you were our new ruler I had to try and get a job to work for you.”
I said, “Thanks, it might just be a headache of the way things are going right now.”
He said, “No, it won’t be a headache.”
After the 4 days went by I had to go back to work. It was going to be a long time until the war starts.
