Zelda time:
The Beginning
Chapter One
Part One: R.O.B.
R.O.B. is standing upon Final Destination. Alone.
He sees a white spot against the dark sky. As it comes closer he begins to make out a shape. It hovers over Final Destination. This is Master Hand.
“Master,” says R.O.B., “what do you wish of me?”
“Mortal creature, you must infiltrate the cloning station. Once there, you shall create clones of all other mortals for the army.” roars Master Hand.
“Yes Sir.”
Zelda and Peach are having a nice picnic at Peach’s home, Delfino Plaza.
“Peach, do you know R.O.B.?” asks Zelda.
“Of course Zelda, little Robby? He is soooo nice.” says Peach.
“Well, he seems to have disappeared. Do you know why?”
“Well, he was having a little problem. But it’s nothing. Eat your salad Zelda, it’s good for you.”
“Hmmmm. What was it Peach, it could be important.”
“He was just feeling under-appreesated.”
“Underappreciated?”
“Yah that’s what he said.”
“Do you know why?”
“Of course, he told me that everyone hated him because he made the cloning system.”
“Why would he think that? Everyone loves the cloning system, without clones, we couldn’t train, we’d have to fight each other.”
“He said that a strange creature came to him, it called itself an alloy.”
“Never heard of them before, I wonder what they could be?”
“Well Zelda, I don’t know, but the alloy convinced him nobody loved him, and I don’t know why he would think that, ‘cause I love him.
Pit flies down out of the sky and lands on the island. “You need to come to the cloning center, there has been a break-in.”
“Who?”
“I don’t know, but it seems no one else can get in, some sort of psychic force field.”
“Well, I’ll go right away, tell Lucas and Toony to meet us there.”
“Right.” Pit flies off to the Great Sea.
“Come on Peach, let’s go.”
“Zelda, don’t you think we should tell Adlez?”
“Okay Peach, you go tell Adlez, I’ll see what is going on, tell her to come, she still does have magic.”
“Okay Zeldy.” Peach opens her umbrella and floats off to Hyrule Temple.
Zelda gets up and teleports to the cloning station.
Meanwhile:
Master hand swipes R.O.B. and R.O.B. falls out of the sky towards Hyrule. He crashes into the ground at the cloning station. He gets up and shakes his head. He walks toward the door, sealed with a retina scan lock. He pulls a false eyeball out of his carrier space and the machine scans it. The doors open, he walks in.
R.O.B. rolls over to a door marked: DNA. He pushes it open and enters. Here, samples of DNA of all the citizens are kept to create clones to battle and train with. He reaches out and grabs the first jar he sees. It says: Snake.
He opens the jar and takes a swab from a cup nearby and then puts the swab that is now littered with Snake’s DNA in the machine in a slot that says: DNA.
The machine roars loudly, a screen moves up and there are nine buttons under it, numbered 1-9, a small screen reads: Choose Level. R.O.B. presses the number 6 and the machine roars up again.
The machine stops, R.O.B. exits the DNA room and he sees Snake standing there. Snake immediately attacks him. R.O.B. defeats him. He notices that across Snake’s arm there is a tattoo that reads: CPU Lv. 6. R.O.B. is glad his system is working perfectly.
Fallen Angel Tip arrives. He is dressed in black; Tip is Pit’s evil twin. “I have a message from Master.” he says.
“Yes?” asks R.O.B.
“The message is that you must create a force field to protect the cloning center from being disrupted while your mission is being carried out.”
“I understand.”
“Have a terrible day.” Tip flies off.
The Beginning
Chapter Two
Part Two: The Clones
R.O.B. entered the DNA chamber. He found a jar labeled: Zelda. He took a sample and placed it in the machine. The screen moved and R.O.B. typed in: 32869418753. A second screen opened below. This one had buttons numbered 10-30. It is also had an ‘x’ and the numbers 0-9 below that. He pressed 30, then the x, and then typed in 10.
He left the room, and he found 10 Lv. 30 Zelda clones awaiting him. They were much more intelligent than the usual clones and so could follow orders.
“You shall construct a force field to prevent intrusion into the building, understand?”
“Yes Sir.” responded 10 voices.
R.O.B. was awed at his own genius. He had created entirely capable and intelligent beings (R.O.B. had never before used the second screen, there was no need to previously). As a bonus the creatures would not attack until provoked, unlike their lower counterparts.
The clones went about their work quickly and efficiently, they soon had a powerful shield erected around the building.
R.O.B. went back to the DNA chamber. He created 990 more Lv. 30 Zelda clones. He then went about creating one thousand of each citizen.
Tip returned and R.O.B. momentarily removed the shield to allow him passage. “I have a package for you.” said the winged child.
“Hand it over.”
It was a small package. It was spherical and entirely black.
“Have a terrible life.” and so the fallen angel flew off.
Toon Link and Lucas were fighting some clones on Toon Link’s ship in the Great Sea.
“Come on Toony, don’t be so lazy!!!”
“Shut up Lucas, you can handle them, they’re just clones!!!”
“Whatever!!!”
“Hey Pit!” Toon Link takes another bite of his sandwich.
“One sec Pit...” Lucas launches the clone into the ocean, the ship crushes it. “What’s up?”
“Zelda sent me.”
“Well, what happened?!”
“Break-in at the clone making center.”
“She can handle it, why would she need us?”
“They have a psychic force field set up for defense.”
“And?”
“No one can break it.”
“Enough said, let’s go.”
Pit flew away. The clouds darken. A storm appears and it lifts the ship, passengers and all, and takes it to the cloning center.
Adlez is screaming and running around Hyrule Temple. Yoshi is standing at the Western edge. Peach floats down and lands gracefully.
“PEACH! HELP! MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!”
“What’s wrong?”
“Don’t talk!! Not here!!! The basement!! Aaaaaaaaahhhh!!!”
They run down a tunnel and enter the lower level of the temple.
“There is a creature there!!!” Adlez points upward.
“You mean the green thing with a big nose?”
“Of course, what else is there?”
“That’s just Yoshi.”
“Well it is ugly and I don’t like it!!!”
“He is my friend, I love him!!!”
“Well then you are a freak too!!”
“Great let’s both pretend to be freaks!” Peach begins dancing around and making strange noises.
After a while of this strange behavior, Adlez begins to sob uncontrollably. “Oh Peach,” Adlez sinks to the floor, “I don’t know what to do.”
“Here,” Peach pulls a peach out of nowhere, “Have a peach, they always make me feel better.”
“Thanks. So, why did you come?” Adlez bites the peach, “These are pretty good.”
“I know, anyway, Zelda needs you because someone broke into the clone’s house and they have a force field around it. They don’t want visitors. Zelda says your magic powers would be useful.” Peach remains standing there looking at Adlez impatiently, while Adlez impatiently waits for Peach to open her umbrella.
“Okay. What are you waiting for?”
“Don’t you need your magic wand?”
“Oh yeah, I almost forgot.” Adlez retrieves a beautiful embellished wand out of her dress. “All ready.”
“Okay, hang on.” Adlez grabs the handle of Peach’s umbrella and they float off together.
Yoshi puts himself in an egg and rolls off the edge of the Temple. He lands safely on his island.
The others arrive at the cloning center some time after Zelda. They find her sitting on the floor, staring at the center.
Toon Link’s ship crashes onto the Earth. He jumps off and runs to his sister. “What’s going on Zeldy?” he says.
“I don’t know, I can’t see through the shield...” Zelda says, “Where are the others?”
“Coming.”
“Hey Zelda!!” shouted Lucas. He ran over, coughing and choking on the dust in the air, “Don’t you think you could have landed better Toony?”
“There wasn’t a course on landing in boating school. Sorry.”
“Ha. Zelda, any idea what’s happening in there?”
“No, but, I think...”
“Hey Zelda!!!” Peach lands her umbrella. She skips over to Zelda, “What did we miss?”
“Well...” Zelda hesitates then decides to tell Peach, At this point it doesn’t matter anyway, we can’t do anything... she thinks, “Well, we have no idea what is happening and we can’t get through the force field.”
“Well Zelda, then let’s just wait and see what happens,” Peach pulls out a pile of oversized peaches, “And, have lunch.”
Zelda smiles, Peach is so oblivious... she thinks.
“Yay!!! More peaches!!!” Adlez grabs a peach and sinks her teeth into it viciously.
Meanwhile, R.O.B. went about opening the package. He tried to rip it open many ways, but he just could not get it.
A R.O.B. clone came over to him. “Sir, may I make a suggestion?”
‘Yes?”
“What is you were to throw it against a surface so as to cause the velocity and force to shatter the casing?”
“That might work...” he sent all the clones to the lower level of the facility.
He rose up using the rockets in his base and slammed the thing against the floor. It lay there for a moment and stirred a bit...then....nothing.
“Useless little...Master Hand and his...” the small ball suddenly exploded. Violently.
The explosion shook the walls and R.O.B. was helpless against that power. He was blown back into the DNA chamber and the DNA was everywhere. R.O.B. however, couldn’t care less about his samples at this point, this was a great power the Master had given him, he must be favored.
Suddenly, the force abruptly ended. R.O.B., who had been up against a wall, now fell onto the floor. He stood, and he saw something he had never seen before. It appeared to be a black hole.
R.O.B. gathered his senses and then he headed towards the thing. It did not appear to be devouring the surrounding matter or him for that matter. He decided to test it and threw in a stack of paper. They entered and...disappeared. R.O.B. summoned three clones. He told the first to enter the vortex. It obeyed, then he attempted again with the second. It obeyed, and was sucked into the vortex. The last was a Zelda clone. Its teleportation capabilities would come in handy if this vortex was, in fact, a wormhole.
He ordered the clone to enter, and if it survived, to teleport back here and explain what it saw.
He waited and eventually, it arrived. The clone told of a strange chamber, filled with darkness, and a large hand resting on a throne...
That was all he needed to know.
Suddenly, the force field dissipated. “What just happened?” said Toon Link.
“As if we know,” said, Lucas, “Come on, let’s go in.”
“No Lucas.” said Zelda. He stopped and sat back down. The building seemed the same, to Zelda at least, nothing strange whatsoever, except for a movement in the shadows of the doorway...
Zelda stood. “I believe we have company.” The entire party stood and faced the cloning center.
R.O.B. entered the vortex. He had commanded the clones to attack the first they saw, not kill them, yet, but leave a lasting impression. Then they would return to the Master.
“You have done well my slave.” said Master Hand, “Though why did you not eradicate those insolent beasts?”
R.O.B. thought about this for a moment, and of the weight his answer may hold. “I believed it would be more fun to play with them Master.”
“There may be hope for you yet...” the Master declared ominously.
A line of people began to file out of the building. Snake, Bowser, Ganondorf, Samus, Wario, those who would likely be behind a scheme like this. Then: Zelda, Link, Lucas, Peach, they were clones.
Toon Link took a step forward, “Let’s get them, they’re just clones.”
“No,” Lucas put a hand on his shoulder to stop him, “There’s something different about them...”
Zelda agreed with this, “Yes, they don’t attack right when they see you...Strange...”
Just then, several Zelda clones let loose with Din’s Fire. The unexpected explosion knocked the group back. “I don’t think they’re very friendly...” said Peach sadly.
The battle ensued. Not only were they outnumbered, they were out skilled.
Zelda could not even best a mere Kirby, What are these things? She thought.
No one was faring well. Peach and Adlez had succumbed at once, and were now under a pile of claws and fists.
Lucas and Toon Link, who had worked together, had succumbed as well and were drowning in a sea of clones.
Zelda saw it was useless to fight and let herself be submerged.
Strangely, when the clones saw they had defeated their enemies, they stopped attacking. They turned and walked back to the cloning center.
The group still had some power and rose to their feet. They let loose with their Final Smashes, last resorts.
The last thing Zelda saw was her arrow glancing off her clone’s head without leaving a scratch...
