"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" Ganondorf's large frame radiated with dark energy as he loomed over a cloaked man. Idly walking toward the castle on a diplomatic exploit, Ganondorf was blindsided by this man who remained hidden within his cloak and surprisingly silent. "I try to make an attempt to be patient and I get this." His hand began to glow with the foul pulse of dark energy.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" the voice that came from out of the hood was a light, aristocratic and yet somehow ominous tone. The figure reached up and flipped back the hood, revealing his red hair and his sharp green eyes, staring satanically up at the sorcerer king.
"Now you're really asking for it." With a snap of his fingers, dark energy enveloped the cloaked man and imploded, crushing whatever would be caught inside. Ganondorf smirked, then frowned as he felt the tip of a blade poking the small of his back. "What is your name, assassin?"
"Ashford." Smiling as he shoved the blade into Ganondorf's back, Ashford's eyes shone with the insanity they had when he watched Marth slowly die. His ecstatic humor fell short, however, when Ganondorf exploded into dark evergy. "What is this?" He felt a sudden surge of power and tumbled forward, barely dodging Ganondorf's fist as it plowed into the ground where Ashford just was.
"You really think you have a chance?" Ripping his fist from the ground, spraying dirt and grass every which way, Ganondorf resettled himself and pulsed with dark energy once more. "You've signed your own death warrent, child!" With little warning, Ganondorf charged, clearing the distance in amazing speed, catching Ashford in the gut with a powerful energy enhanced punch.
Ashford's eyes widened as he felt himself rocket backwards, skidding across the ground like a stone across water. When he finally settled, he was on his back, barely breathing as he let his breath catch up with him. Never in his life had he faced someone this powerful, and as he realized how slim his chances were, his eyes narrowed as a sly grin distorted his face.
"You cannot beat the King of all Evil!" Genondorf bellowed while hovering mere inches off of the ground. He stared solemnly for a moment, then grinned when Ashford slowly picked himself back up. The cloaked assassin was coughing up small puddles of blood, wavering slightly when finally back on his feet, but when he finally found his breath, he grinned and brandished his favorite rusty combat knife.
Without a word, Ashford charged, matching Ganondorf's previous speed, however, he didn't expect the Sorcerer to stand his ground. Closing the distance and jumping up to slash at Ganondorf's face, Ashford was blindsided by a quick rib kick to his left side. Feeling his bones creaking against the impact and once again feeling himself skidding along the hard earth, Ashford's glee only increased.
"You are a glutton for punishment aren't you?" Ganondorf pondered, enjoying himself for once. Link may be a formidable adversary, but the end result tended to be the same no matter what. With this new foe, he couldn't lose his life, but he could still be incapacitated none-the-less. He reveled in the fact that the only way to 'kill' him was the Master Sword. He laughed as he released more dark energy, this time creating a familiar ball of light over his head.
Ashford hopped to his feet in time to see the ball, and his soul sunk for a mere second before he smiled satanically and renewed his charge. He headed straight for Ganondorf, staying true to his course, until the Evil King sent the energy at him. With precious few seconds tyo spare, Ashford dodged around the ball and with lightning speed, closed the gap between himself and Ganondorf, this time, he didn't jump.
With a pleased smile, Ganondorf stared into Ashford's unbalanced eyes, the rusted knife embeded in his chest. "Heh, a true challenge." Ganondorf stated as he coughed a little blood up, spraying Ashford lightly before he fell backwards, off of the knife to hit the ground.
"Sleep well, my King." Ashford said, his demonic tone carrying a degree of respect for the fallen sorcerer. He watched Ganondorf lay on the ground, his wounds slowly healing and his chest barely moving as he slept deeply until he could rise again. Sheathing his dagger and replacing his hood, Ashford limped toward Hyrule castle, continuing his search for the blue haired boy with the golden sword. His thirst for blood was only temporarily quenched, he knew he head to get to the castle quickly, or he'd thirst again.

Mario slowly paced back and forth in the Royal court, knowing Zelda and Peach were watching him carefully while he thought. His mind raced with what could have happened to the two dead swordsmen. The evidence of a murder was so visible it was sickening, and yet, somehow humorous. The murderer was at large, any evidence linking anyone to it didn't seem likely to be found. Of course Marth and Roy had enemies, but none of them could be placed at the scene.
"You think they may go after Ike next?" Link offered, his right hand scratching at the back of his head. His eyes were closed as he thought, trying to connect the dots before the final dot vanished. "It seems valid."
"True, it does seem so, but Ike is still safe here, anyone crazy enough to come in here would have to deal with the guards and us." He stated it, meaning to only list him and Link, but felt Zelda's magic swirling in the air as she added herself to the list. He knew there was no talking Peach out of it, so the list was now four people long. He sighed as he thought of extending the list, but Luigi was off in the Bean bean kingdom with Toadsworth in an attempt to refresh the treaty between Mushroom and Bean Bean.
Bowser had been missing since his last humiliating defeat and Donkey Kong was taking care of his own problems with K. Rool (I think I spelled it wrong) firing up the engine of his new war ship. His mind wandered on a few things before he snapped back to reality and noticed that everyone was staring at the main door to the castle.
"I have news." A large owl hooted from the entrance. Link and Zelda ran to the owl, happy to see their old friend, and curious as to what this news could be. "Ganondorf has been attacked and momentarily incapacitated."
"By who?!" Link and Zelda uttered, more shocked than anything else. Until recently, the only person who could defeat Ganondorf was Link. The fact that someone else managed it meant that this person either had a vendetta, or, more believable to Link, Ganondorf got in the way and became cocky as usual.
"A cloaked lad with red hair... he used a knife of some sort." The owl informed, his impassive attitude revealing nothing that his voice didn't. Link looked shocked, feeling foolish that a knife took down the Evil King. "I checked Ganondorf after the lad left. He's still very much alive, and most likely going to want revenge when he comes to."
"Oh great." Zelda whined. Not only do they have a murderer on the lose, but now their going to have to deal with an enraged Garudo King. Not to mention Link and Ganondorf had finally come to a spiteful and very fragile truce.
