"What is going on here?" Zelda hollered. She sat on the queen's throne, looking down at Link and Ike, her eyes glowing with ferocious anger. "Roy and Marth have both been assassinated within one week of each other. Why hasn't anyone caught the criminal?"
"He's not just a criminal, he's a professional." Link's voice rang with aggravation as he recounted what he had been told many times. "Whoever this guy or girl is, they know what they are doing and they are taking pride in their work. Both Roy and Marth were found dead from bludgeoning wounds and internal bleeding." He looked up at Zelda as her face contorted with disgust at this latest piece of news.
"I put out a reward for any info on this man." Ike's voice seemed to be lined with agony and hatred. "500 in the suppliers native cash for any and all information, an additional 600 for accurate directions to the culprit's base."
"1100 TOTAL?!" Zelda's voice rang out like a freshly stricken church bell. "People shouldn't need compensation for helping us save their lives!" She stood up out of the throne, closed her eyes and began chanting silently. In a matter of seconds, she shone in green light and vanished as an unnatural gust of wind whipped past her.
"She's been on edge lately ever since news of this killer came to light." Link observed as he turned and faced Ike.
"I would be too if I were in her position." Ike stated heaving a sigh. "By what we have so far, the only people targeted were royalty and the royal guard." Turning to leave, he sighed and shook his head.
"I wonder where this guy is gonna strike next?" Link asked, following after Ike.

"What a world we live in, where one can pop in, slice and pop out without a care." Ashford chuckled maliciously as he walked into his subtle one floor home. "I think I'll go after this little red man who I hear so much about." His eyes scanned his home quickly before he closed the door behind him and set about turning on the lights. His home was decorated much like the average house these days. More to the point, a visitor would never suspect his house was at all the home to an assassin until they entered the basement. As such, the basement as exactly where he was headed.
"So, Marth and Roy... though Ike was no where to be found." Ashford's voice took on a smooth calm tone that sounded much like the hum that one heard before a violent storm. "The boss won't be too pleased with that news. I still have four days to finish the job, and if I don't want to lose what I've worked so hard to accomplish, I'll need to go all out to find him." Wearing his white shirt and black jeans, he looked much like the average human, when calm. However, his shirt was blood stained and his shoes were no better, even worse, his face still had spots of blood on it. He looked at the long grey table in the dead center of the basement. On it were pictures of the three swordsman, and a laundry list of habits they employed during the day.
"What did I miss?" He scanned the list of Ike's habits and came up dry once more. "What could he have been doing that pulled him away from his other duties?" He decided to scan the other's lists, but came up dry on Marth's and Roy's until he flipped all three over. Sitting in bold ink, with 'NOTE:' highlighting it, was a simple statement he couldn't believe he had missed on Ike's paper.
"So he's the ambassador that visits Hyrule?" Ashford's green eyes sparked with bloodlust once more as he realized where he had to go. "Oh boy... of all the places to go." He laughed maniacally and ran up the stairs, shut off all of the lights, and bolted out the door, closing it behind him. He knew his next destination, and his target's motive. Now he had a chance to complete the job... and exact revenge.
