Legend Of The Yin Yang Orb
By: The King Of Darkness
Prologue: The Legend
A long time ago, an ancient orb was created by a young elemental maiden. This orb was said to be an orb that could control the very balance of the world itself. Upon the touch of the holder, the orb was said a person to have spread everlasting happiness or eternal darkness as as the heart of the user saw fit. The orb had great power indeed and the maiden dedicated her life to insure the happiness among the world. However, an object of that power soon became an item of desire for the dark at heart. If it were to get into the wrong hands, chaos was sure to follow. It was the duty of the maiden to protect the orb and see to it that the orb was never to be used by evil. Many a fiend tried to challenge the maiden and take the orb but none ever succeeded. Criminals were scared of by the power the maiden had. Soon criminal dared to challenge the maiden’s power... That was until one day a man approached the maiden. His heart was just as dark as any evil doer the maiden had ever encountered. She acted fast in trying to fend of the foe but she was soon overpowered by his might. The man took the orb into his hands as the world soon began to transform. Within moments the entire world began to change into a demon filled wasteland. Unsatisfied will just destruction alone he craved power. Infusing the orb deep within him he was transformed into a massive Beast. A monster created from darkness he had become as he began to make waste of the town know as Sunshine Village. The villager’s most powerful force all attempted to stop the beast but was no match. They were easily slaughtered. The villagers all ran and screamed with fear as their village slowly was destroyed. They never stood a chance. With the entire village left in rubble the maiden appeared to once again challenge the beast, but once again she was easily overpowered. It seemed as though the world was doomed to be overpowered by darkness for the rest of eternity. Suddenly, as if from nowhere a young boy appeared before the monster. He vowed he would not run in fear of the monster as he drew his family’s sacred katana from his sheath. In a weakened state, the maiden felt empowered by the boy’s courage. With the last of her strength, she transferred her light energy deep with the katana... The Katana began to glow a bright light as the monster began to become weaker from the shining ray of hope. The boy battled the monster tooth and nail with his sacred katana before finally severely weakening the beast. With the monster weak the boy delivered the final blow to the monster. Darkness fumed out as the orb slowly floated to the ground. With a simple touch of the maiden order was again restored… Ever since that faithful day, the orb was protected by an elemental Guardian in the Elemental Shrine located on a large hill overlooking Sunshine Village. It has been told that every hundred years a new Elemental Guardian would be born where they would serve their purpose as Guardian of The Ying Yang Orb till the day they died. To this very day it’s said the Elemental Guardians are still protecting the orb deep within the Shrine. This is the story of the Ying Yang Orb.
Chapter 1: The Invasion
Sunshine Village
Morning
It was a lovely summer’s day as the sun shined down on the glistening Sunshine Village. A cool breeze blew as the sound of noisy villagers under going their average means of daily life. Some where seen shopping, some were seen eating at restaurants, some were socializing with friends, all was at peace. The site of many attractions and homes could be seen in the village. But deep within the center most part of town a small house was seen. This house was no ordinary house. This was home to the Village’s Mayor Wes and his son Zane. It was an average nothing special home. It was a two floor home with the a bathroom and rooms on the top floor and bathroom, office, and kitchen on the lower floor. Inside one of the bedrooms young Zane was still in bed sleeping when he heard a knock on his bedroom door from his father.
Wes: Are you just going to hang in there and sleep the whole day away? C’mon! Time to rise and shine!
Wes made his way back downstairs as Zane finally started to stir. He quickly made his way out of his bed as he began to neatly make his bed. He grabbed some clothes and began to get changed into some suitable clothes. He made his way out the bedroom door and downstairs to the office where his father was seen busy with his work.
Wes: It’s a quiet morning today my boy. Usually I’m up to my neck in paper work by now.
Zane: Well that’s good… I’ve lately been reading a book on the ancient Elemental Shrine that was said to hold something called a Yin Yang Orb. Is it real or is it just a myth?
Wes: So I see you find interest in ancient mythology. I raised you well to be smart just like your father. As for the Orb I’ve never actually seen the orb or the shrine at that matter for myself, but I believe it does exist. Many believe that those tales are just stories but somehow I know that they are true…
Zane: I see…
Zane left the office and began to make his way to the kitchen when he heard a series of massive explosions from outside that shook the entire house. Immediately after, screams were heard from the panicking villagers. Zane ran in the office to find his dad.
Zane: DAD! DAD!!!! I just heard some explosions from outside! What’s going on?
Wes: I’m not sure but…
Suddenly there was a loud banging at the front door. Zane ran to the door quickly and opened it. It was a tall man with slightly ripped clothing.
Man: Where’s Wes???
Zane: Oh well…
Zane was interrupted by the sound of his father approaching the front door.
Wes: What seems to be the trouble?
Man: Our town has been invaded by a bunch of criminals who have been calling themselves the Blood Bath Bruisers.
Wes: UGH! This isn’t good! Assemble the villages strongest men. We’re going to take them out!
Man: Sadly we already did. They were easily taken down and…..
Zane looked at his father.
Zane: Father! Let me help you. Let me go fight them off! We must fight!
Wes: Zane you are still young and without a weapon you would easily be killed. I shall not allow it!
Zane: I don’t care! I can’t stand just sitting here doing nothing. Please father!
Wes left the front door and went into the other room before coming back with a sheathed blade.
Wes: Very well but if you must go please take this blade with you. It’s a blade passed down from your ancestors. May it serve you well.
Zane: Thank you father!
Zane ran out the door past the Man and into the streets. It was covered in destruction as villages tried to put out ran in fear. Zane looked ready as he saw in the distance thug like men running through the streets. Zane took a deep breath.
Zane: Well….here we go….
Zane ran at full speed with his sheath attached to his back. He stared forward towards the thugs as he moved in closer and closer.
