The Great Adventures of Zel: Part 1
Prologue: The Beginning
In the beginning there was light then stars then life. Along the stars were planets and moons. Among the planets there was a planet called Tantheon. Tantheon flourished as a planet and was among the greenest and largest of them. Tantheon is inhabited with many strange and odd creatures. Tantheon is a peaceful place with its people being so non-violent. Tantheon was the first planet to have life and also the first to introduce space travel. Tantheon is thirty months away from Neptune putting it far from Earth and the Sun. Tantheon's people are led by a Sage. A sage is a person who is the protector of life on that given planet. But should the Sage interfere in other planet's wars and affairs the Sage is then given the responsibility of protecting those in which he helps. The Sage of Tantheon is handed down by blood. Tantheon's Sage was Ziek who was the leader of the Godis Dynasty. But Ziek was killed in a battle with Neil Morgenstern the First who led in the Robotics field of Tantheon. But Neil decided the Godis family was to far high in power to rule Tantheon. Neil led a 10,000 robot army against the castle. But the castle forces held up against the army. Ziek who possessed the Sage Staff, which is the most dangerous weapon in the Universe, was shot in the heart by Neil and in his last dying moment used the Staff to kill Neil the First and save his wife and son inside.
Chapter 1: 20 Years Later
The Sun rose slowly on this cold yet nice Monday morning. The grass was wet with dew and the birds were chirping while looking for the worms on which they fed on so early. Off in the distance in the Hilket Woods a young Tanthian was training with his Uncle so that he could master his deceased father's staff and sword.
"Swing faster" stated Zolan "move quickly now."
Zel swung the sword at his Uncle who parried every swing and moved with grace as Zel tried to land a blow on his Uncles fake right arm. Zel stopped for just a second to catch his breath when his Uncle's shin got him in the gut.
"What the hell Uncle" Zel questioned "I was trying to catch my breath."
"Your enemies won't stop attacking so you can catch your breath" exclaimed Zolan "You are the Sage now, your father died to keep you and your mother alive and this is how you show him respect in training."
Zel was enraged but stopped and breathed in and out to calm himself down. He thought of his father standing on the hill meditating to prepare for training.
"Well get up and get in fighting stance" commanded Zolan.
"Fine" Zel said reluctantly.
For four more hours they trained. Of course by now they were just plain worn out and ready for breakfast.
"So Zolan how is my son's training coming along" asked Zenna Zel's Mother.
"I give him two more weeks of training before he is a sword and staff master."
"Good that means he can go and start doing his Diplomatic trip around the planet"
"Mom I swear on myself I am absolutely positively not going on a Diplomatic trip to govern each city."
"Zenna let the boy do as he pleases as long as it’s legal"
"Ok Ok...So Zel how are you and Brooke doing."
"Mom stop questioning me about me and my girl friend plus I'm hanging out with Ian tonight."
"I wish you won’t hang out with him he is a terrible influence on you."
"Mom he's been my friend for 15 years."
"I know I------
Zenna was cut short by a blast that destroyed the wall behind Zolan. When the smoke cleared Neil Morgenstern the Second walked up.
"Neil" said Zel "what the hell are you doing out of the Asylum."
"Isn't it obvious I'm here to kill you" declared Neil.
Chapter 2: The Sons
Zel looked with a dead stare at his mortal enemy who was holding a sword at him. Zolan sat silently and waited for the moment when he could throw Zel his staff. Suddenly Neil jumped at Zel with a villainous grin on his face. Zolan grabbed the Sage's staff and tossed just in time for Zel to block Neil's attack.
"Damn you old man" cursed Neil.
"Hey Neil!"
Neil turned his head only to be met by a strong blow to the temple. He glowered at Zel.
“You must really learn to keep your eyes on the opponent" Zel cleverly remarked.
“Bite your tonuge you wretch."
Zel thrusted his sword at Neil, who in return did the same. They continued to fight until they found themselves out in the middle of town. Now Zel of course being a Sage could float in the air but Neil had to use technology. Zel being the smarter one took the fight into the air. Below the Castle guard had a portable cell and straight jacket ready for Neil.
"Looks like their ready to take you back Neil" Zel stated.
Neil looked down which was his down fall in the fight. Zel struck Neil with a blow from the staff on the head. Neil was in a free fall as well as unconscious. Zel caught him and brought him down and the guards took him away.
"Another day another fight with Neil."
