"Blaze, circle around right, I'll take the left!" Jaysn yelled as he circled his designated direction around a large Agron. He aimed his 9mm cop killer at the soft spot on its neck between the cranial plating and the chest plate and fired. The cop killer round hit its mark and took a decent chunk of flesh with it. He realized Blaze had as well when he saw a red glow and then Agron's entire right side go up in flames.
"I got'em Jay!" The crimson feathered Blaziken hollered as he pulled a backflip after jumping from his signature Blaze Kick. Jaysn smiled at his patner's work and chuckled when the Agron hit the ground dizzily.
"That's one down." Jay called.

Oh if you were wondering, this isn't your average pokemon world. You're not going to find Ash and the gang here. This is the realistic (or close enough to it) side of the pokemon universe. Jay is a bounty hunter assigned to hunt down and exterminate any pokemon that threaten the human way of life. I know what you're saying 'pokemon are uber powerful and can kill a man with the blink of an eye.' True, a Mewtwo could rip a man in half with his mind... but we're getting side tracked. Blaze is his pokemon partner... no not like a ranger's friends. Blaze grew up with Jay and has been his friend ever since. Now, back to the story at hand.

Bounty hunters get these cool little devices that send out a frequency. Jay generally goofs around and calls it the reinforcement wand. How it work is simple, the frequency goes out, 'cleaners' get said frequency and come by to take care of the rest. If a hunter is lucky, there is no need for cleaners.
"Oh great wand of reinforcement," Jay began, fluctuating his voice to add to the dramatic effect, "bring us friends who will spirit away this evil beast!." The 'wand' was more of a brooch, it was a round flat device with a small blinking red light in the middle. Jay stuck it to the Agron's armor and walked away with Blaze in tow.
"You know you're a damned goofball right?" Blaze shot. Jay had taught Blaze how to speak, but he didn't speak perfectly. Every time Blaze tried to pronounce T or D, his beak would click and the letter would sometimes be distorted by the click. "And what the hell is with this whole speech to the signal brooch?"
"I like doing it, makes me feel like I'm doing something less serious." Jay shot back sounding melancholic. "I do like the job, but something about it just... I don't know... seems strange."
"It's because your killing my outer species brethren." Blaze sounded cold when he said it, as if excluding himself from the group. Jay spun in place which caused Blaze to stop in his tracks.
"Don't you dare act like you aren't helping me!" He spat, getting a little agitated. "I already told you, if you don't want me to be doing this, just let me know and I'll stop. That option has been open since we started eight years ago." Jay being twenty-four had become a bounty hunter with Blaze. They had been fighting together since they were born and promised to continue until they died.
"I know," Blaze muttered sighing guiltily, "I know... I guess I'm just getting old." Pokemon, especially fire type, tended to age faster than humans. As such Blaze was a whomping five times Jay's physical age. He was considered an extremely healthy Blaziken, even though the average Blaziken lived to be the human age of fifty.
"Anyways, we gotta head back to camp. No doubt we'll have more jobs waiting for us." Jaysn offered, smiling at his childhood friend. Blaze chuckled, more rapid fire clucked, and followed Jay as he headed back toward the encampment.
