The Mushroom kingdom was going through some tough times after the war with Crehavos. The Hell lords assualt, left the kingdom shattered and destroyed. Building were torn apart, the landscape was battered and abused and the citizens spirits were as at an all time low. However things were going to get better thanks to the return of Princess Toadstool and the kingdom heroes Mario and Luigi. Peach waste no time in organizing a team to help rebuild her tattered kingdom and restore it to it's former glory. Mario offered to assist the princess with the rebuilding but she denied his request. Instead she asked him to patrol the kingdom for any potential dangers. He knew that this was a very smart decision since his nemesis Bowser would soon rebuild his forces in another feeble attempt to seize control. Mario happily agreed to the princess's request and went on his merry way. Luigi tried to sneak away to get some rest but he recently heard from the castle guards that Daisy was coming to the castle to help with the construction. Knowing that Daisy would be looking for him, he quickly ran to his brother's side to help with his task.
Peach placed Toad in charge of construction along with his girlfriend Toadette. The two of them organized the people of toadtown and began rebuilding the kingdom. Meanwhile.. in the northern part of the kingdom, Bowser had return to his castle. He was still a bit injured from his battle with Crehavos but he was determined to rally his army to attack the Mushroom Kingdom. He knew that the kingdom was defenseless, and this would be the perfect time to attack. However he still needed time to heal, rally his forces and plan for his next assault. This was all a test of time. He had to step up his timetable and move faster than his opponents. Together with his son Jr, he plans to reek more havoc on an already torn kingdom. Which side can outmanuver and surpass the other? Only time will tell..

[Princess Peach, Princess Daisy]
[Toadstool Castle]
The castle was very lively since the princess came back. Toads from around the kingdom welcomed her back and looked to her for guidance. She was a beacon of hope for the Mushroom Kingdom. A symbol that would give them the will to rebuild what they have lost. It was something only she could do, and only something she was capable of doing. Peach stood on the balcony of her castle, gazing upon her kingdom. It has been a long time since she saw it but it was upsetting to see it in this state. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She was indeed nervous about the task that was ahead of her but she knew she was the only one capable of leading this kingdom. This kingdom will see better days and she would be the one to make them.
The room door suddenly kicked open, which startled her quite a bit. She held her hand to her face as she turned to face the door. Before she could even see what was going on, a pair of arms wrapped around her body for a big hug. Peach's nervousness soon vanished as she saw this person's long brown hair. "Oh hi Daisy" she said as she returned the girl's hug. Daisy looked at Peach and smiled.
"You were gone for so long. Everyone was worried, including me." Daisy walked onto the balcony to join in on Peach's gazing session. Peach joined in and the both of them looked upon the kingdom from a distance.
I'm sorry about the mystery. They really needed me." Daisy sighed at her speech but she could understand her. She was called off on something urgent that needed her attention, something that would effect the entire world. There wasn't anytime for an official announcement.
I understand that your business with SSS was important but I just wish you told someone. I lost a lot of sleep worring about you." Peach's eyes turned toward the ground in dispair. Daisy immediately placed her hand on her shoulder for comfort. The last she wanted was for her to feel guilty about leaving. Daisy raised her chin up and looked into her eyes.
"Don't worry. We will get this Kingdom back up and running in no time." She was still uncertain about the task at hand but Daisy's encouraging words was enough to give her some much needed strength. A warm smile returned to her face as she thanked Daisy for the kind words. The both of them gazed upon the kingdom once more, to take a last glimpse at this horrible site. This destruction will be repaired and hope will once flourish in the kingdom.
[Mario, Luigi, Kamek]
[Toadtown Outskirts]
Mario and Luigi took a look around the outskirts of Toadtown to check for any impeding danger. The outside of the town looked way better than the town itself but it was still pretty damaged. A lot of work needed to be done to repair the kingdom but that was up to the people of Toadtown. It was Mario's job to protect teh kingdom until they finish. Mario ran around the town back and forth looking for trouble, Luigi was behind him but he was having a hard time catching up. "Mario hold on a minute. I need a breather" Luigi stopped dead in his tracks as he began breathing heavely. Mario walked over to check on his brother.
"You know, you didn't have to come Luigi. The princess asked me to do this." Luigi soon gained his composer and stood back up.
"I thought you would need my help, so I tagged along." Mario wrapped her arms together and raised an eyebrow as he looked at his brother.
"You're lying. You only came along so you could get away from Daisy". The truth hurts and Luigi knew his bro was right on the money. Luigi didn't once send Daisy a postcard or a letter to respond to her many messages and now that she was back in the Kingdom, she would definetely confront him about it.
"She would have killed me if she found me. You have to help me." Mario shook his head at his brothers pathetic pleas for help. He turned around, said "Not my problem" and ran toward the town to continue his patrol. Luigi quickly ran after him, hoping that he wouldn't fall behind. Suddenly a bolt of lightning crashed in front of the two plumbers, creating a small cloud of dust in their path.
"Well well. If it isn't Mario and his coward brother." Mario and Luigi looked through the smoke only to see Kamek and a small group of koopa troopers in front of them. The two of them gazed upon the group with a very annoyed look.
"Ah It's only Kamek. Let's go Mario" AS soon as Luigi took another step, Kamek fired another lightning bolt at his feet.
"Don't treat me like some sort of weakling. Even a coward like you shouldn't underestimate me. I will defeat both of you in the name of Lord Bowser". Luigi took a look at Mario who just shrugged and took his battle stance. It didn't look like they were getting out of here without a fight, so the best thing they could do was end this quickly.
