The Brawl pikachu seems to often be refered in past threads to be more like melee's pichu, and while watching the famous brawl character colour video, I noticed that one of pikachu's colors (Equiptmet) had changed. The BLUE WIZARD HAT was removed, and replaced by a PAIR OF BLUE GOGGLES, i've seen those before, but where?
Oh yeah! Melee's pichu (again). How come at the beginning of SSE Mario knows Zelda and Kirby, but Samus does not emmideatly recognize pikachu? Could it be a different Pikachu? But Sakurai said he was a Veteran, thus meaning he had to be an old character, right? So i conclude, that the new pikachu is actually Melee's PICHU, but evolved. Hey, Sakurai actually put "pichu" in and we didn't notice.
And Here is a little story
Pikachu: Well, Pichu, I'm leaving. 10 years old and time to go off on my trainer pokemon journey.
Pichu: But... what about... Smash Bros? What if they make another and want you back?
Pikachu: Yeah, I thought of that. How about this? You train, and train, and train. Then, when you evolve, sign in under my name. That way, Pikachu will still be in Brawl.
Pichu: Okay. That works.
Pikachu: But be careful not to let on that you are the old Pichu from Melee.
Time passes and Pikachu looks up color change on the Dojo
Pikachu: THAT IDIOT! HE FORGOT TO TAKE OFF THOSE GOGGLES!*
