Well, I know nobody knows me and all that, but I gotta brag about my vehicle. I bought a '98 Isuzu Hombre pickup truck for $900. Of course, it ended up costing more with the title transfer and cleaning it up and... etc., but not a whole lot. It has a standard transmission, which I did not know how to drive when I bought it... but I learned. A buddy of mine helped me out and coached me in my newly-acquired truck. Of course, I was very scared of stop signs on hills and driving on Main Street, but I covered everything evenly. Long story short, I finally got it down. And I didn't burn up the clutch in the process, which was fairly new by the way. Anyways, an incident occured in which my engine overheated and... well, it was shot. Thankfully, I found a Chevy S-10 motor of the same year in a town about 20 miles away, and they are currently swapping engines on my truck. (Chevy S-10 and Isuzu Hombres are the same thing... just different names on the body.) I've been riding my bicycle for the past three months, and am looking forward to driving my truck again. I enjoy driving it. A standard transmission you need to shift is much more fun than a boring automatic transmission. Of course, with gas prices these days, I know I'll still be putting more miles on that bike, but having the Hombre for far destinations will much more convenient than having to bum rides off my friends and family. Oh yeah, here's what it looks like, except with a couple of dents and more scratches. I know it doesn't look like much, but it's got 4 cylinders (which means great gas mileage) and a bed to haul stuff in. That's all I really need. Plus, it does get some good acceleration... I actually raced someone in that truck before... I won.
