No rank is called "Basic"
In drill team Let 1 usually starts off in unarmed squad and platoon. If they get those down solid they can move up to armed squad and armed platoon.
Color Guard and Exibition are 10th graders or higher.

You should LGN. It's not as bad as everyone thinks it is. People hear Army, or Airforce, or Marines and flip out.
I take Army JROTC

Steele did you know that parade rest for the army(you) and the airforce(me) are differnt. How does the airforce do it? We do it where our hands are behind us (obliviously), our hands are joined to whatever seems natural, and out fingers are extended and joined. Our hands are resting at our belt
