Now there have been some great names in video games that will permanitly be ingraved into our heads forever....but here are some that left some of us scratching our heads or wondering why in the world they would be named that.
Donkey Kong - Now I have nothing against him or the other Kongs and find his abbreviation pretty cool, but seriously why Donkey? It sounds like he's a mixture of a Gorilla and a Donkey, seriously.....why?
Jet Brody (Fracture) - It would make perfect sense if he had a personality that made fun of other video game character stero types, but this guy's got like no personality. C'mon, Jet Brody, it just doesn't flow at all.
Lizardman (Soul Caliber) - This is sort of self explanitory, even though he is a lizard that acts like a man and was a man once before, but doesn't the dude know his own name or at least the producers?

The only names i could think of were these.  Dr. Eggman: This seems like a downgrade from robotnic. He looks nothing like an egg. If he had something to do with chickens this might pass!   Bass And Tremble: Consider the names of some of the robots names in Megaman...MegaMan, Protoman, Sigma, Zero.....now look at this name.... Bass and tremble is off the stereo system! LAME! Thats a dumb name for two cool looking characters.  Rockman (AKA Megaman): How can you come up with a name like Rockman for a robot thats shoot energy from a blaster? He has absolutly nothing to do with rock in any way!!!  Boogerman:.......ummmmm......you tell me! |

Big the Cat (Sonic the Hedgehog) - Supper unimaginative, voice actor sounds retarded, and he saves the day by fishing for a frog.

I think I heards that donkey kong was supposed to be monkey kong but it somehow got messed up or something but i unno if i'm going too far or anything but  King Dedede? dedededededededededede come onnnnnnnnnn |

 Violen: Unoriginal name for one of the X Hunters in Megaman X2. He was named after the Violin. WTF?! Named after a Musical Instrument? What is he just gonna whip out a violen and kill everyone or something? |

For Donkey Kong the creator thought that Donkey meant Stupid in english and heres one Boshi- Hes cool but His name is just a bad rip off of yoshi. I know why his name is that but i think thye could have done better  |

 Jumpman: Ok so he's a man and he can jump. Real original considering hes suppose to be a plumber saving the girl!  Mario Mario and Luigi Mario: As stated in Mario and Luigi both of the Mario Brother's last name are Mario. This proves Mario is the better brother and that Nintendo is so lazy they cant even give them a half decent last name! Mario Mario And Luigi Mario?! WTF?! |
