Your future career

For when it is time we move into the working world, we have two options at hand: You can either go to college to get a degree in a profession, or you may choose not to and work at any job you can find.

My question today is to ask you guys what your plans are (if you have any) on what you're gonna do when you're older. What career would you like to take up, and whether it requires a degree or not. Also, I'd like it if you would explain why you would want this job.

Now what I want to be when I get older is get my Doctorate (Ph. D), or at least my Masters in Psychology. My top goal is to become a Psychiatrist which is a bit different than a Psychologist. Psychiatrists help counsol different patients, but they also have the medical training to perscribe medicines and do other things as well that a standard Psychologist could not. Why I want this job is because I'm interested in the human mind and what makes it work. I'd also like to help solve issues with people that would need my assisstance. And of course, the obvious factor of salary. Psychiatrists earn anywhere from $120-200,000 a year in salary. It also includes benefits such as Health Care and such. ^_^

i was possibly thinking about being a chiropractor or some type of engineer...though that $120-200,000 a year caught my attention XD. maybe i should be a Psychiatrists.

And Cell do you know the salary for Psychiatrists in Hawaii?

Well I do know that Psychologist based jobs pay is much higher in Hawaii along with a handful of other states. So my salary would be closer to $200,000 a year, and that's a ton of money. But it would take 8 years to get my degree plus a year of interning. So if I go to college when I'm 18 or 19, I'll get my degree by the time I'm 26 or 27.

I really haven't a clue, but I guess my two main options are A. Some kind of actor, and B. Some office worker (a la cubicle)

LOL, no Mewtwo didn't make me want it. I realized I had a knack for helping people out with their emotional problems and stuff even though I'm just 15. That's when I decided Psychology was my career path.

Well, my career path is to be an Olympic Athlete when I grow up. I'm planning to be a runner, but if I have to do Curling or Table Tennis to get their then I'll do it! If my running career fails, then it's off to the military with me because I don't want to end up working in a small cubicle making minimal wage for a company that thinks I am dispossible.

And if I inhert some money from my grandpa, then I might start up a game studio and make a few video games or so, but I have no idea how rather I'd be the director/creator/storyboard and writter.

And if I still fail, then I might write a book.

i'm planning on going to college to get a degree in Interactive Media and Game Development, and hopefully learn programming before then. After that (4 year degree) I'd wanna find a job in a video game company, and my carreer would take off from there.

Hopefully i would be able to work on a fire emblem or Legend of Zelda game, and even maybe start my own game series. I'd want to be lead designer eventually, but until then i'd probably just program and stuff.

But yeah, stay on this site, and one day i might post a thread for help on a certain game called Smash Bros. Tournament RPG.
