iv been hearing mixed reviews of the movie and i wanted to see wat u guys think. i also hear the movie is a chick flick and if it is then not for me, and also. are the fights any good?

I've watched it, and despite my annoyance at your lack of capitals, I'll give you the lowdown:
Twilight is a romance story between Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, Edward being a vampire. And that's where the story really gets it's concept, most of the story is progressed about Bella learning about Edward's abilities and being. The movie almost completely relies on the audience's intrigue in Edward's abilities, which are used to progress the plot.
I guess it wouldn't be "a chick flick" due to the fact that the films in that category are usually (if not always) romantic comedies, this is more of a plain romance. I leave out the word "action" because there is really only one fight in the film, albeit an exiting one. However, you should be grateful for even that, the fight scene was extended from the one in the book.
So there ya go.

Though I have not seen the movie myself
according to all the girls in school it was good, but did not follow the book well
(like most movies)

I've seen it. It pretty much equaled my expectations. Which weren't much...  Unless you're a die-hard fan, you probably won't love it. It's funny in some areas, is cast well (with the possible exception of James), and I liked Jacob and Billy more than Edward. |

I my friend is hardcore Twilight fan as she said that the movie was low-budget piece of crap...she said she laughed through out the whole movie

Apparently it's good if you haven't read the book, but other than that, it's okay ~_~
There was a ton of buzz surrounding it though, and I didn't hear anything about it being terrible, so it'd be worth it to go IMO.
