I'm going to tell you a side-story which you will NOT hear in the Trophies, but it explains another unanswered question from a Nintendo game...It doesn't specifically say this in the story, but hopefully you've picked up that Luigi's Mansion is a false reincarnation of Professor E. Gadd's old home, which the Boos simulated to make a mockery of its former existence... So Gadd remained near the mansion illusion and tried to get rid of the Boos to leave his family at rest...and did I mention that all the special ghosts (the Baby, Madame Clairvoya, etc.) were his family, long deceased by the eruption???  ...So Gadd spent the years finding ways to capture the Boos and return his family's spirits to paintings so that they could rest in peace... ...but then all the ghosts were released... ...and so Luigi entered the story... Sound like it fits the game well to you? I think I would have really liked this to be the big revelation at the end of Luigi's Mansion...

i got the whole vocalno making spooky forest and masion part. I hadn't really thought about how madame clairvoya and all of them were Gadd's family. Really cool theory if you ask me

Yeah...probably too serious for a Mario game...but it would make for a much better ending...
Since Gadd's parents owned the mansion, all the rest of his relatives came to live with them because it was the best place around and had something for everyone...everyone, that is, except for Miles Reeka...
So now U. Reeka is E. Gadd's last remaining family, but is not exactly a friendly face...
Ok, I'm done monologuing now! ;D

Another very interesting fact is that even though I DID make up the name Professor U. Reeka on my own, much later while playing a game I found that this exact name actually was mentioned in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time as a joke by a Toad on Thwomp Volcano... Devaux: As heartwarming and flattering as your sentiment was, I'd prefer that no one EVER represents me with the letters BS...  |
