I was born in the capital of West Virginia to two parents who were a teensy bit weird. My mom was from Pittsburgh and my dad was from West Virginia, a native. They met in a tiny college in my home state. Fortunately, my mom wasn't a Pitt fan, so things went pretty well for them, and they got married. Enter me.
I LOVED watching my 15-year-old cousin play Super Mario Bros. all day on my grandparents' NES, but I sucked. I still can barely make it to World 4 using the Warp Zone.
Eventually, my dad got a job in Kentucky, so we moved to Louisville, where my little sis was born. Knowing nothing about the city's school system, my parents enrolled me in my home school, which just so happened to be the Academy for Future Pimps and Hos. I was a clean-cut individual, so I chewed up and spit out a couple of times, even being hit by a girl.
When I was seven, my parents got me a N64 and a Game Boy. None of the games they got me were any good, so I lost an interest in video games.
In fourth grade, I met Anthony. He was the video game guy, and he pitied my pitifulness. We connected. I got into video games, and I decided to stick with Nintendo and get the purple lunchbox. Anthony and I talked often, even during the summer when all I used to do was watch TV.
Then, I turned eleven and finally got into a really nice middle school. I joined the quick recall team and became the star rookie (if the only one).
On my twelfth birthday, Anthony got for me Super Smash Bros. Melee. I was going to visit my grandparents that week in West Virginia. However, they were neglected, as I was playing SSBM all day. And this was before I figured out how to even attack. I was officially hooked on video games.
I now am a freshman in high school and own an NES, N64, Game Boy Advance, Gamecube, DS Lite, and was one of the first to own a Wii around. Anthony has moved to Florida, and my grandparents died in a car accident in seventh grade (don't like to talk about it). My sister does not go to Pimp and Ho Academy. My parents are freaks. I have a dog and a cat and an oyster (not really, I just wanted to be different).
