~A coward he says?!? Seriously!?!?!~
Hilarious.. because it seems a real man would take take up gunfire intense enough to rip one's body apart to the chest and say "Thank you Sir! May I have some more!?" If that was the case then sadly, this young man couldn't call himself a man just yet or any day. But, whatever.
Now back to our regularly scheduled course of actual events. :D
Nyahhh-ah-ah!! so said the eccentric thief as he continued upon his path to round about this overweight guy, just to see just how his comrade was doing and avoid a messy death along the way. In this midst of this awesomely overwhelming pressure, he was still lax enough to keep his clear head and stay observant of his surroundings and the condition of the others.
He noticed in the very least, Sour's debilitating injury of the forearm and that his opponent had an injury of the same accord but for some odd reason, it appeared that he wasn't bleeding at all. In fact, it looked as if his blood had already coagulated based on his wound and what had spilled out upon his shoulder. That just wasn't natural folks since that happens in 15 minutes usually.
Was this some type of magical effect? Magic was what he called something that went against common sense and established law in the world anyway so perhaps it was. Or, was this guy simply something other then human? There were many people that looked human enough but they were some kinda other funky group of people from what he knew as well.
But.. the fact was this guy was recovering and Sour wasn't. What to do about this..? With Super Amazing Clotting Man analyzing right close and personal with the overweight, Sour preparing to strike with intent to push them back, and with Nouri just a few steps away, a decision had to be made post haste.
They would simply have to capitalize on this current position just as planned. The wind pushing Sour's blow forward meant that his body was carrying more forward momentum then usual. A simple miss would mean the overweight fellow would take the blow before gunfire could rip Sour apart and that would be the end of that.
Likewise, defending or trying to deflect this attack with one arm or one good arm and one weaker one if he could move that shoulder no matter the stance or twist he put into it would simply amount in him taking the full force of a powered thrust attack as oppose to the tonfa twirl from earlier would push him back into the overweight. Being unrestricted meant full power and speed. Likewise, if anything happened, The overweight would have to put his fire on hold in fear of hitting his teammate so he thought.
Now for Nouri, his part was played well for the most part. Distract the gunner and stay on the move so Sour could take care of who he was actually after. The gun blow was just a means to throw off his aim and stall just enough to make a small window of opportunity and charge along with Sour before he could retrain that aim of his or even hit he or Sour thanks to his sluggish moves and turns.
SHKUT!
From his right sleeve did a fairly long, curved blade emerge. He came up from Sour's right side and instantly changed direction and bolted towards of the direction of Sour's original enemy, just in unison with Sour's straight on strike. Upon turning his palm and in turn, the bladed side of his weapon to his opponent and swiped his blade towards the direction of his foes injured shoulder and went straight for his opponents neck. Of course, he attacked in the direction that his opponent was injured to increase the odds that a sufficient defense would be compromised.
The power of unpredictably was also on his side so defending against such an attack would be quite a feat on his opponents part, one could say to the point where his opponent would have a hard time stopping them both at one time.

If Richter were a bit younger, clean shaven, and not bespectacled, Nouri and Sour might have thought he looked strangely similar to Light Yagami making his crazy “ Exactly as planned!” face. Of course they were both going to come after Richter. It would be stupid for them not to. He was the healer, the medic, the saving throw for the team. Ignore him and the gun toting mountain of flesh would be fed a constant stream of vitality and never go down. It was the basic strategy of any degenerate primate with opposable thumbs to have ever drooled in front of a video game. Take out the healer first. Then the level 12 purple dragon of nibbleglibbits. Then watch as people with actual lives laugh at you while you bemoan the fact you’ll never have a girlfriend and die cold and alone in some ditch with only the World of Warcraft to keep you company. Wait. This is getting off track. The point is, Richter already knew exactly what Nouri and Sour were going to do because it was really freaking obvious. And of course he would strike at Richter’s left shoulder. It was injured, and he would be hard pressed to defend himself. But in order to do so, he had to be on Sour’s right side. Common sense had told Richter all he needed to know. Nouri, sadly enough, was not as unpredictable as he thought himself. Sour hadn’t exactly tried to hide his intentions, but his ploy was obviously as well. It was abundantly clear that if Richter dodged, his partner would be in danger. And if he did not, he’d be flung into him. Unfortunately, Sour was going to get exactly what he wanted. He was going to push Richter into the Overweight. Nouri was fast-easily faster than Richter. But it hardly mattered when the unpredictable little bastard actually proved predictable. Powered by his wind attack, Sour’s lunge was also faster than Richter, but again, it didn’t matter. As they stabbed and slashed, Richter leapt straight up and spun, ducking his head down and presenting his back to them. His back, which was completely covered by his nigh indestructible attaché case. Sour might be able to punch through the Trauma Jacket, but that was wet tissue paper compared to the hulking monstrosity of the case. Its behemoth mass even extended above his shoulders, perfectly suited for those pesky slashes to the neck. With his back facing his attackers, Richter kicked straight ahead with both legs. Right into the Overweight’s left upper arm. Richter’s partner, of course, had kept firing as Nouri sped past him, turning after him like a mad Gatling gun equipped first baseman after a batter. This meant that there was a veritable wall of oncoming machine gun fire rotating after Nouri. But the Overweight was just too slow, even if the difference in speed was separated by a razor’s edge. That is, unless he got some help. Richter’s kick was strong and placed perfectly. Shoving against the Overweight’s left arm would cause him to spin around faster, bringing his wall of gunfire right onto both Sour and Nouri. Or at least it would, if he weren’t so absolutely freaking massive. Richter couldn’t just shove mass like that around willy nilly. The laws of physics had to be obeyed, after all. Richter’s kick would speed up the spin, but it wouldn’t place the line of fire right onto his opponents. Except Richter’s kick wasn’t the only thing pushing the Overweight into his spin. Nouri’s blade met with the side of the attaché case, near the upper corner. But more importantly, Sour’s super powered blow hit the case head on, right in the middle. It even made a dent. But Richter still felt all that incredible energy, and it shoved him with tremendous force further into the Overweight’s side, adding shocking speed to his rotation. And if that wasn’t enough, Richter was now in physical contact with his partner, meaning he had established a Leach Circuit. The circulatory, nervous, and stat systems of Richter and his partner had been joined, making the Overweight not only instantly aware of Richter’s plan, but he gained additional physical strength by siphoning some of Richter’s. With a tremendous boost in speed from the massive impact, the Overweight whipped around, his already firing minigun brought directly to bear on Nouri and Sour.

"Ok, I guess this works."
As Mr. Ritcher flung towards Sour, a loud SHKUT sound filled the air.
"This is it."
Sour caught Mr. Ritcher as he flung towards him. As Sour and Mr. Ritcher touched the ground, sour wrapped his legs around the legs of Mr. Ritcher. Sour then shifted his weight forward so that he could keep a firm grasp on Mr. Ritcher. Sour moved his head and bit the sleeve of the free arm of mr. Ritcher, trying to hold on as much as possible. There would be no way to get out of this. It was even better that a barrage of bullets from the overweight would shield most of his body and have Mr. Ritcher taking the damage instead.

(OOC: I think that post by sour where he essentially controlled how richter reacted was a bit unfair. Can I get a ruling by an rp staff member? I'd like to be clear on that before I proceed with my post.)

Yeeeeaaah, there’s some issues with this. The overweight did turn but not as much as Mr. Ritcher thought. Such a random blow like that also threw the overweight a little off. First, this is contradicting itself. If the Overweight didn’t turn as fast as Richter wanted him to, he wouldn’t be thrown off balance at all. That would only happen if he turned too quickly, which would kill you. Secondly, you’re simply not in a position to comment on the Overweight’s balance. Third, by coming into physical contact with the Overweight, Richter established a Leech Circuit, which joined their circulatory, nervous, and stat systems. Even if the Overweight didn’t know Richter’s plan in advance, he would still have reacted perfectly because Richter himself was directly influencing the correct nervous responses as well as lending his own strength. Fourthly, who is to say Richter’s kick was random at all? Your characters seem to have a plan worked out, despite the fact that neither character has said a word on the subject. Whether or not that in itself is fair is debatable, but as it is, you cannot state what the Overweight did or didn’t expect. Hidden blade of the warrior was an attack that was manipulated by wind to cut instead of bruise. Mr. Ritcher couldn't have been pushed back seeing as how it was an attack to cut him. If this is the case, then your challenge to Richter blocking and catching your blow a few posts ago is bullshit. You can’t say in one instance that I can’t block an attack because it carries too much force, and then when I use that force against you, say it’s simply not there. Besides that, the notion doesn’t even make sense. The wind isn’t making the blade sharper or harder; the only thing it can affect is the speed of the blow and therefore how much force it will strike with. Furthermore, Richter took the shot on the flat surface of the attaché case, meaning that force wouldn’t have been deflected in anyway, but fully absorbed. The entire premise of this situation is flawed. He used his good arm and wrapped it around Mr. Ritcher. He then used wrapped his legs around the legs of Mr. Ritcher. There are a couple of problems with this. First, as I explained to Bob over the c box, I ended my post with Richter still in the air, kicking. Due to some difficulties in communication, Bob told me that he didn’t want me to edit my post to elaborate on Richter’s positioning. So, the only thing you can react to is an airborne Richter. Secondly, I spent a great deal of time on my last post describing the massive hulking monstrosity of the attaché case on Richter’s back, which is facing Sour. Using only one arm, the idea of reaching around both it and Richter is pretty farfetched. Thirdly, again, Richter is airborne, making it pretty much impossible for you to lock your legs around his. Fourth, when trying to grapple, you can’t just say you’ve grabbed someone. When I did my arm bar post, I said Richter blocked, then “moved in”. After stating that, I described what he was going to do. Otherwise, it’s an autohit. Sour then shifted his weight forward and used the wind to push himself forward. Mr. Ritcher then fell backwards as Sour continued to hold his arms and legs. The only time Sour can manipulate the wind is with his Hidden Blade of the Warrior attack, and, as you pointed out earlier in the post, you can only do that to manipulate your weapon. I’ve accepted that it’s plausible that you could use this ability without the running start requirement detailed in the application by spinning the tonfa, but that’s impossible in this situation since you’re using your only good arm to try and grab Richter. As such, with Mana Eater still in effect, you have no way of using your wind powers in this situation. Even if you could, you would not be able to use it to push Richter. This again shows the inconsistency that this technique’s been given. In the first case, it carried too much force to block or trap, but then that force somehow only applied to the actual cutting, but now that doesn’t apply and all that force can push people around again. Pushing forward and having Richter fall backwards is physically impossible because Richter’s back is to you. If he fell forward, he would fall into the Overweight. If he fell backwards, his attaché case would probably break Sour’s face. And again, you can only say that you moved to throw, not that you did. However, I think getting to this point with all the other problems I’ve listed seems unlikely.

The heavy would be off balance just as anyone that took a bit of sudden pressure upon Kismet. Its common sense seeing as your plan was to use that off balance shot to push the overweights gunfire into both Sour and Nouri. Even if he is big, (which isn't much of a help) think about how his weapon is balanced and his stance. he has more weight over on the side he is holding and the fact that he is turning in one direction and to suddenly move is something odd.
Even if you had a leech circuit, you yourself said that only lasts when you have contact with someone. You made the mistake of thinking sours blow would give you more contact time with the overweight which in this case, you overestimated it and hence, you payed for it in the fact that your push would simply fling you back into Sour thanks to your kick. You would only have a brief contact with him which wouldn't be enough for you to coordinate him correctly to balance out with your forceful maneuver.
Well we don't have so much of a plan worked out to be honest. Aside from the first move (which I had planned to say Nouri asked sour to come out to the arena first and the single foot tap was attack the opponent to the right and two would mean on the left) but I was lazy that day and neglected to do so much to my sadness. Which would make since we decided to talk before the match if I'm not mistaken. Its no big though.
Matthew's shoulder is injured and mostly immobile in this case, is it not Kismet? that would effect just how you can take an attack and a forward motion with your stance. You can't deflect hidden blade of the warrior in your case because of the forward motion he is using to carry it and the effects it would have if you tried to fully block it or take a blow. Like any other person in sudden situation like that, you would be pushed back a bit since your so close to the overweight and you go boom boom. Hidden blade would allow him to strike reasonably since the tonfa is a dual weapon and wind would give him the edge of a slightly stronger attack with one hand based on the 10 year backpack and how his manipulation got better.
But that isn't what Sour designed his move for and in certain animes such as naruto, the manipulation of making wind into a cutting force is validated. If the Heavy can resist the overwhelming impracticality of using a minigun for ground support just by being a heavy and strong beyond reason, (which wouldn't even help but hey, we let it go) what gives you the right to say Sour cannot use something such as the wind to sever flesh and bone? lol
There were no difficulties in communication dood lol I said that because your post wouldn't make sense if you did managed to grab him so easily given your position and aerial standpoint. It was a stretch to for one, turn around quickly before Sour and Nouri's attacks reached you when you where within extremely close range of them but to actually try and climb up onto the heavy even if you managed to withstand the blow Richter thought he felt would be a bit much lol. Seriously, not everyone can react to sudden force like that so easily, you would 9 times outta ten slip and fall and even having to perfectly position your kick can be a stretch as well.
I disagree with the arm wrap since he could grab you either way if your falling back on him. I for one can easily wrap my hand around a suitcase and do it one handed and I have luggage that way, even the really heavy bulky bags.. you know,
Those bastardizingly bizarre bigguns xD. The trick to do it is range. You would have to come close to it hitting you head on to actually grab it successfully, otherwise, you fail which isn't a problem in your pushy, moving back case. I know what such a case would look like.. even the big ones so I see no problem.
I do however see the midair leg lock as a bit crazy. Sour worded somethings to make it all seem a bit.. well instant. I'll go over and make changes in those respects so on his behalf, I apologize.
That's incorrect. I pointed out that hidden blade of the warrior was his attack with the tonfa and how he could use the general tonfa twirling techniques in martial arts to take advantage of circumferential force and manipulate wind around to push the tonfa round and round to sharpen the actual cutting effect of that techniques application. That is the force that allowed him to slice your armor and injure you.
But.. to limit one's self to one use of a technique is quite silly. Anyone who learns a fighting style will basically come to the point. You could say its simply a weapons technique but the fact is that Sour's power relies in wind manipulation and to limit the hidden blade to one weapon would be crazy. In this case, he is using his arms and reversing the actual effect by using the wind to push towards him instead of pushing him along. Its reasonable to say that since he has mastered this ability, he can stop at whatever step he likes and that in his case is the push.
Sure, you said Mana Eater sucks up magic stat points but you seem to have gotten around that by not making your actual skills take magic in general which I noticed from the start of when you made your character. One would think that Mana Eater would suppress all magic but.. I let you get away with it lol. Likewise, hidden blade of the warrior is the only skill with the wind that is a physical feat as he has listed and takes prowess instead.
That's why he can still manipulate wind and if you need further assurance, he said in his post that the 10 year backpack gave him better manipulation of the wind since in ten years time, he has progressed. It would make sense if he could manipulate the force he tosses you back in anycase.. correct me if I;m wrong.
Hm. Matthew would not fall forward if the force of his attack wouldn't be enough to push him along like that. the only force you would feel is simply the clink, and then you pushing back into Sour. However, since you are at an aerial standpoint and not a grounded surface, your actual kick would be weakened to the point where you won't fly back at "OMGWTFISDAT" level speeds. You would not have the force to break someones face with your case so much.. especially if he did catch you and seeing as the distance between us all at this point is so close, you wouldn't be able to get a running start or anything to help you out.
Sorry if I sound overbearing or anything like that D: I do want this to be a fair fight and I'm going to get a lady friend to look and talk it over.
