[-The Final Battle-]
[Fallen Angel Castle]
www.imeem.com/michaelang/music/h6qyvEEB/one-winged-angel-sephiroth-theme-final-fantasy-7-one-winNow that the roof of the uppermost tower of Fallen Angel Castle had been broken down, a spectacular, if terrible, vista presented itself to those who were still conscious to witness it: Kin, Eiron, Sour, Steele, and, of course, Crehavos. The sky had darkened to a deep blood-red, a direct result of the bright crimson glow of the sun. Now aligned directly behind the moon, the eclipse appeared to be all but complete. This glow shone on all of their faces, whether determined or frozen, angry or nonexistent (such as Master and Crazy Hand). It seemed to expose the sin which resided within each and every being, obvious or not.
Just as the Emperor of the demon world seemed to have attained ultimate triumph over all the Brawlers, who now stood as trophies helplessly awaiting destruction, and several Forumers fell as well, Kin and Crehavos locked in climactic battle, the two creators made their rather loud entrance through the ancient stone architecture. At the same moment, over by Snicket's unconscious form and the trophy of Yoshi, the narrow dimensional rift was suddenly torn apart until a large portal leading from Red Subspace had been opened. Looming gloriously through the swirling red gap was the Pokemon deity of legend, Arceus himself, who had previously been imprisoned by Crehavos over seven years ago, no doubt to prevent this very type of thing happening. Had it not been for the SSS rescuing it from the bonds placed upon it by the dark king, and the guard of the vicious Giratina, Arceus would still be trapped in the world from which he now entered. But now he was here, and with the sheer power of the beings present in this desecrated throne room, one could feel in one's very heart and soul that this was a meeting of magnificent calibur.
The remaining Forumers, and even Steele, shrank back toward the walls with the entrance of the divine beings, though the former did so in respect, not fear.
"Crehavos," Arceus boomed in an echoey, sagely tone, "your reign is at an end, and it shall not be on your terms of Armageddon." Even as the beautiful Pokemon said this, the winds of Hell began picking up dramatically, the sky deepening and brightening in its scarlet eclipse.
"Even gods cannot stop me, Arceus!" the Hell Lord rebuked dispassionately, although the passion of his rage swirled like fire in his black eyes. "I am invincible and immortal, and you can neither destroy me nor contain me, nor can you stop the impending doom which I have called upon this universe. You only dramatize your defeat."
"That is where you're wrong," Master Hand boomed from beside his crazy counterpart. "You may have cast down Sovaherc, you may have conquered even the armies and greatest warriors of the Smash World, but your Eclipse of Sin will not carry out if you and your powers have been cast away from the realm of the living."
The Forumers and Steele watched all this in silent awe.
"By the powers which gave breath to our lands," Arceus intoned, "which gave matter to our mountains, which gave ripples to our oceans, which gave winds to our skies, I, Arceus, join with these two Creators in sealing away the fiend who seeks even now to demolish that which they created. Master and Crazy Hand, the time is now. SEAL AWAY THIS EVIL!"
With that, Arceus proceeded to produce a stream of silvery blue light which sped itself into Crehavos, forming a perimeter around him. Obligingly, the two Hands contributed streams of their own, Master Hand's being purple, Crazy Hand's, green. The light circled itself round and around the tyrant's torso in a ring of almost blinding brightness, glorious to behold.
But Crehavos wasn't ready to submit yet. With an earsplitting cry which fell in between the categories of scream, howl, and yell, the empowered king pushed against the magical ring which sought to bind him, forcing it back with his fiery, raging power.
"He's too strong!" Arceus hollered. "We need more energy!"
"HANDS!!!" Crazy Hand bellowed behind him. "ASSEMBLE!"
Heeding the call of their fellow floating body part, the five other Hands rushed from the battlefield to the aid of their brethren. Lady, Mitas, Silver, Flame, and Ice Hands all joined the three deities in attempting to subdue the demonic ruler. Lady Hand's stream of light was pink; Mitas Hand's was gold; Silver Hand's was silver (obviously); Flame Hand's was orange; Ice Hand's was an arctic blue. Each energy stream flowed from its host to add to the thickening ring of rotating light, resisting Crehavos's colossal struggles.
Meanwhile, the environment was growing increasingly violent, at an alarming rate. Their surroundings were now at the level of hurricane, and the world as they knew it was beginning to fall apart, huge boulders tumbling into the lake of lava, which was rippling like a stormy sea, threatening the very platform of brimstone upon which the castle sat.
Crehavos was now able to move even less than before, but so also did he redouble his efforts to push back the bonds which the gods were trying to force upon him. It was akin to King Kong being subdued by chains and ropes, but still resisting with a fierceness that could hardly be matched by inferior powers.
"It's still...not...enough!" Arceus shouted. And this was a dire predicament indeed; they could not hold this position long, and if Crehavos broke through this attempt, it would be all over.
At that precise moment, who should come to the rescue but foreigners to the very universe at stake, Banjo and Kazooie. Flying above the throne room floor and landing upon it, the two gazed with widened eyes at the scene before them.
"Whoa," Kazooie said. "Did we miss something?"
"You guys look like you need some more power or something," Banjo stated while rubbing his chin, coming to this conclusion based on Crehavos's writhing form forcing back the ring, which looked like it was about to burst.
"You...don't...say...." Crazy Hand strained out while continuing to let the energy flow from him into their enemy.
"Hm...." He glanced at Eiron, Kin, and Sour, but they seemed to be beyond contributing anything of use to this enormous struggle. Then the bear snapped his fingers. "Hey! I don't suppose these round things we found on the main floor would be of any help?" He reached backwards into his blue backpack, within which Kazooie roosted, and pulled out five glowing, colored orbs.
The orbs, of Blue, Red, Yellow, Purple, and Green. The orbs which the SSS had used to open new floors in their HQ, but which now seemed to be of little use since the once great building had been destroyed in one fell blast.
Arceus glanced at the exotic pair amidst the failing binding, and suddenly widened his eyes. "Throw them into the ring! Hurry!"
The bear shrugged, not understanding, but complied, tossing each of the five colored spheres into the mix.
That did the trick. Now the spinning ring was overwhelming Crehavos, and was extending into a portal of its own, dragging the emperor slowly into it.
The demon king was shocked, but unable or disinclined to utter a word. He raged ever the harder, but even the greatest of his strength, even with the Orb of Ucria's Last embedded deep within him and fueling his every pull, he was losing himself to this brilliantly colorful portal.
"CREHAVOS!" Arceus said with finality. "You say the sinners of this world must be punished. But while it may be true, duties such as this have already been entrusted to very capable...Hands. If we ever need your help in dealing out such consequences, well...we'll know just where to find you...in the Sealed Realm!"
"NO!" Crehavos finally managed to roar, his lower body now entirely consumed by the swirling rainbow portal. He looked over to Steele, and reached out in desperate wrath. "General Steele! Pull me out!"
Steele, having been the most loyal to the Hell King, but starting to see that the tide was turning, and realizing the true foolishness in committing himself to such a destructive being, strolled casually up to his master, arms folded. "My Lord, it seems, I regret to say, that you have lost. Enjoy your eternal confinement, but I think I'd rather stay free and alive than follow you this time around. Later!" With a light shove, he pushed Crehavos all the way through the portal. The multicolored rift swallowed up its prisoner, and vanished in a flash of white. "...Or maybe not," he added thoughtfully.
The moment Crehavos was gone, the cataclysmic winds, lava spewing through the air, tumbling rocks, and storming skies came to an immediate stop. The crimson sun vanished rapidly below the horizon, as if it too had been afraid of the world coming to an end. Although Hell was still not a peaceful or even remotely pleasant place, a great quiet relief came upon it. Below, the remaining demons disintegrated into red dust, the cracks on the plain closed up by themselves, and the SSS sent up a great, memorable cheer of victory.
Back up in the broken throne room, all the Brawlers were revitalized from their trophy state, and vitality flowed into the unconscious Forumers, bringing all, including Snicket, back to consciousness. It was like a dream, something none of them had ever imagined happening, especially with all of them still alive.
Arceus turned to the gathered Smashers, eyes shining, the seven Hands arranged behind him majestically. "Super Smash Saviors," he pronounced, "thanks to your bravery, the battle is won this day. The Universe is saved."
They all joined in the cheer from below, each in their own way. Snicket just smiled, stroking the neck of his beloved Yoshi.
In the midst of the cheer, however, Banjo came to a halt. A strange feeling other than happiness had abruptly come over him. "Hm," he pondered, rubbing his chin. "Saving the world is great and all, but I have a weird feeling we forgot something."

[Skytown Hangar]
A faint, muffled voice sounded out from Zel's parked ship into the completely empty hangar.
"Hello? Anybody out there?" Professor Elvin Gadd sighed. He was still locked in the compartment where U. Reeka had left him. It seemed in the excitement of the war, he had been forgotten. He shrugged, sat back down exasperatedly onto the small bunk, and drifted off to sleep. Surely if anything of importance happened, they would notify him.
