The good thing is that you're about to or already did break up with your girlfriend. She'd get really mad if you were dishonest with her...... I'm sorry about the azn girl though =(
I won't tell you to forget about her, but don't brood about it too much.
You do NOT fail. There are tons of people who have crushes on people who don't like them back!! They either keep hoping, and sometimes it works, or move on =]
