Hey, this is my first attempt at a fanfic. It's not gonna be EXCLUSIVELY about smash bros, but it mainly consists of smash bros characters and worlds. As well as a few character hopefulls. I intend for this to be quite long unless you all think it sucks! PLEASE provide feedback!!
The Destroyer

CHAPTER 1: The Destroyer Cometh
They call him the demise of all worlds, the bringer of destruction, or simply the destroyer. His being, his entire purpose revolves around his insatiable desire for destruction. Legend tells of a hero. This hero could talk to the gods as well channel energy through his body. He would slay all enemies in his path, until the day he called upon the wrong god. Apocalypse, the god of the dead, gave this hero, an enhancement of his power. He had enough power to exterminate an entire world. Apocalypse ordered this hero to destroy a planet that had turned from him. After doing so, the hero became corrupted. The evil power that enveloped him drove him mad. He randomly began to destroy planets, eventually including his own. Hell bent upon destruction, he has gone from galaxy to galaxy, systematically destroying the planets till there are none left to stand. Throughout his travels, he heard rumors of a strange galaxy where magic prevailed and heroes still stood. He must destroy this threat, and perhaps harness the power it holds.
He landed on a foreign planet. The terrain was grassy with several towns. To the North, there was a large white castle. It was beautiful and elegant. Seeing this sight of beauty and happiness filled him with rage. He happened to look to the south. There was a Dark Castle with fire and brimstone. A Statue of what seemed like a horned turtle was visible with a devious look. Perhaps this planet wasn’t a complete waste. He had never sensed such power before. Around that time, a strange looking mushroom appeared. The Goomba observed this stranger. He was a tall figure completely covered by a black cape. A general aura of evil emanated from him. Feeling a sense of kinship with this fellow “bad guy” the goomba spoke.
Goomba: “You must be new around here. Welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom!”
Before the goomba could even take a breath, The Destoryer blasted him with dark energy. Noting was left but a dark spot on the grass. He walked towards the dark castle. For once, his curiosity had taken the best of him. He hid to observe turtle creatures harassing a small creature with a mushroom on his head. Just about that time, he felt a strong aura approach. A wooden puppet appeared to defend the small creature. This was even more interesting. Why would a possessed creature be doing good things? Then, before the Koopas could see what was coming, The Destoryer blasted them into dust. He then, with less force, blasted the toad away. This sent him soaring towards the white castle. The puppet seemed to freeze in fear. For the first time since his arrival, the Destroyer spoke.
Destroyer: “You are possessed by demons are you not? (The puppet said nothing) You have intrigued me. I was going to destroy this planet, but your strength, and the strength of the dark castle may prove useful. What do you call yourself?”
Geno: “My name is Geno.”
Destroyer: “Geno….I will spare your world if you will do a job for me. I become bored with simply destroying planets. I wish to cause panic, and dismay before their destruction. You will bear my message to the various planets. Tell them that within 3 days, their world will be destroyed. Do this, and I will spare this world. “
Geno: “How do I know you will keep your word?”
Destroyer: “You don’t have a choice. Serve me and have faith, or be annihilated now.”
Reluctantly, Geno agreed. Perhaps if he could do this, it would provide enough time for Mario to come up with a plan. Perhaps he could remove everyone from their worlds and take them to the neutral planet, the Smash Bros Planet. There might just be a way. The Destroyer bound Geno and infused him with dark power.
Destoryer: Now, we will destroy the planets. I think we will start with a small planet you can see to the north. The one with several stars shooting in and out. Don’t you agree?
Geno: “Yes master, we shall go to Pop Star”
CHAPTER 2: Problems on Pop Star
Away from the Mushroom Kingdom, on the planet Pop Star, Swords were clashing. Two rather peculiar fighters were in a heated battle. Their blades met. The one fighter was pink with a hat on; the other was masked and cloaked. Pushing with all his might, Kirby broke the standstill and swiped at Meta knight, but before the blade struck, he disappeared.
Kirby: “I know you are here, MK. That cloak of yours can’t hide you forever.”
MK: “You’ve improved…how inspiring” (Pulls off cloak) “But still not good enough”
At that very instant he rushed towards Kirby. Grabbing Kirby, MK slashed furiously before tossing him upwards. This was the moment Kirby was waiting for. He transformed into a stone and slammed MK to the ground. Kirby jumped up ready for more till…
MK: “ENOUGH! Let’s call it a day. You’ve proven more of a competitor than I could have imagined.”
Kirby: “You just didn’t want to get the crap beat out of you”
MK “HOW DARE YOU!” (pulls over his cloak and disappears)
Kirby: “PANSY!”
Kirby walked over to a small stream. He sat basking in the glory of his near-win. He thought to himself how he would have beaten MK if he hadn’t run away. As the minutes passed, Kirby’s stomach began to moan. It had been since 6 am since he ate something, which was an amazing feat. He stood up and went on the search for some food. Even a Maxim Tomato would work. He walked through the Green Greens in search for food. As he was walking, he came upon a group of Waddle Dees. They were very peculiar because they kept staring into the sky. Kirby looked up and what he saw surprised him. A small patch of sky had turned black. From it was spewing small meteorites. Suddenly something larger came through. It was plummeting towards the earth. Intrigued by this sight, Kirby ran towards what he guessed was it’s eventual landing zone. He hoped that this strange object would not fall where he thought, because that would mean another run-in with that stupid tree.
As he rushed through the brushes, he saw a cloud of smoke where the object had landed. To his horror, whatever this thing was that fell from the sky had crashed straight into the possessed tree. Writhing with pain, the tree was shooting apples and slamming roots everywhere, prohibiting Kirby from getting nearer. About that time, MK flew in.
MK: “What the hell just happened?”
Kirby: “If I knew, I probably wouldn’t be standing here, would I genious?”
MK: “You’ve been getting on my last nerve all…..
But before he could finish the sentence, the tree, which had spotted the two of them, attacked MK with an apple. The force of the blow was similar to a cannon.
MK: “D***it! Let’s take care of this thing once and for all”
Together, MK and Kirby fought the tree. Kirby would suck up the apples and shoot them back at the trunk while MK rushed around the base cutting the roots and branches. But for every cut, more roots would appear. MK knew that their attempt was in vain. The tree was shooting too many apples for Kirby to stop, and the roots were pummeling MK. Then, there was movement from the crash. A figure stood up. And they heard a deep demonic voice.
Geno: “Pathetic….”
Geno used the dark energy given him to shoot the tree. Then, the roots stood still, no more apples were shooting. The tree was dead.
MK: “Thanks man. We needed that.”
Kirby: “You didn’t have to kill him”
Geno: “HMPH….he was making me mad”
Even MK was set back by this general attitude. Kirby felt a sense of danger around this newcomer. They observed him. He seemed in every way harmless, but where was this power coming from? Who was this stranger? Then Kirby remembered.
Kirby: “You’re Geno aren’t you? Mario spoke of you a couple times. You’re a good guy right?”
The name Mario seemed to snap Geno out his dark trance. And began muttering.
Geno: “Must…..tell…..mario…….danger………worlds…..destroy”
Kirby (looking scared): Destroy worlds? What are you trying to tell us?”
Geno: “All…..planets…..die……..3…..days…….tell…….mariAAAHHHHH”
Pain shot through Geno as a dark aura overtook his body. He stood up straight and talked once again in the deep demonic voice.
Geno: “My master has sent me to give you a message.”
MK (also now worried): “What kind of message?”
Geno: “I am here to spread the news that within 3 days, myself an my master shall destroy this world along with everyone in it. There will be no mercy.”
At this point, Kirby motioned MK over to the side to have a word. Geno stood observing Pop Star and muttering things like “Stupid” and “die”
Kirby: “I know of this guy. He’s not evil. Something has happened.”
MK: “Ya think?”
Kirby: “now’s not the time for that. He seems to be horribly demon possessed.:
MK: “What about the king?”
Kirby: “What about him?”
MK: “He’s always being possessed by something. He could probably help. He’s become kind of an authority on it.”
Kirby: “Alright. Lets come up with a plan…….I’ll take Geno to King Dedede, and you warn him of what’s happening then get ready the Halberd. If this world IS gonna die in 3 days, we need to be prepared. You need to get the Halberd ready for mass transport.”
MK: “What if I don’t want to get everyone on my ship?”
Kirby: “Then I’ll find a way to ground it and we’ll ALL die”
MK: “Ok….i’m convinced”
They walk back over to Geno and explain that Kirby will take him to see the king. This way the news will be wide spread rather than just two people. After some amount of convincing, Geno decides to tell King Dedede. The mass hysteria would make his master proud. MK said his goodbye to Geno and sped off to warn the King. As they walked on to King Dedede’s Castle, Kirby wondered whether or not this plan would work. He had a horrible feeling that it was going to fail, and only make things worse.
Chapter Three: The Puppet and the Penguin
Thousands of miles away from Pop Star, the Destroyer was getting a general feel of this galaxy. This vast galaxy held a strange power that he had never felt before. He feared it. He must find the source of this power and defeat it, or better yet, claim it as his own. His travels brought him to a strange planet. He landed on what appeared to be the ruins of an ancient civilization. He could sense power, but of a different kind. It was a malicious spirit, who had not crossed over. He felt the spirit’s anger and rage. If he could persuade this spirit to join him, this galaxy would crumble faster. As he observed the battle-worn scene, he concluded where the spirit resided. The rotting skeleton of a large beast lay on the ground several feet away. At this moment, The Destroyer knew what to do.
Destroyer: “Arise poor beast. I impart upon you a portion of the power given me. Arise from the grave and together we shall avenge your death. Simply follow my orders, and we shall rule the universe.”
He transferred energy to the skeleton. Suddenly, the bones began to stir. It rose up from the ground as organs, muscle, and flesh began to re-form on the once deceased body. As the beast observed his savior, he roared with victory. Ridley had risen from the dead.

As Kirby walked along the road with Geno, he kept getting cold chills. He didn’t particularly like his new company. Hoping that MK had fulfilled his promise, he silently strode on towards King Dedede’s Castle. Upon arrival, there was no guard at the front gate. It was left wide open for them to pass. Geno paid no attention to this, and walked on into the entryway. Kirby, however, slapped his forehead. He knew Dedede wasn’t the brightest penguin, but he was practically giving away the fact he knew someone dangerous was approaching. They strode straight into the throne room, and received a surprising bellowing voice.
Dedede: “WELCOME to Pop Star traveler. I hear that you have traveled a long way to see me. Such kindness.”
Kirby was already regretting this decision. Why had he listened to MK and trusted their fate to this pompous bird.
Geno: “I come to bear a message.”
Dedede: “In due time friend, please sit down (Geno did not move, but Dedede chose to continue) Where have you traveled from exactly?”
Geno: “My master’s presence.”
Dedede: “And where would that be?”
Geno: “You talk too much….you are trying my patience.”
Kirby chuckled. Dedede was taken by surprise in this outburst. No one had ever dared tell him he talked too much. He continued.
Dedede: “I can tell that you have power…demonic power. Am I correct?”
Geno: “Yes…….(looking interested) How can you tell?”
Dedede: “I have had some run-ins with demons in the past…..such power…..such strength.”
For a slight second, Kirby thought he saw a look of desire in the King’s face, but it disappeared as quickly as it showed up. The mood of the room changed, and everyone could feel it. Kirby shuffled nervously as the Waddle Dees began to shrink into corners trying to remain out of sight.
Dedede: “RIGHT, what’s this message you have come to tell me”
Geno: “This world shall die within 3 days…sooner if I choose. My master and I shall destroy this planet, and all your inhabitants.”
Dedede (strangely not looking worried): “back up….you said ‘sooner if I choose’ Explain yourself”
Geno: “My master trusts me and the power he has given me, If I become bored, or if your people anger me, I can summon him to destroy this place.”
The King now had a look of lust on his face. He did not care about his world. He only cared about the power. He must have this power. With it, he would be unstoppable. He could rule Pop Star and crush all opposition.
Dedede: “Show me this power”
Geno blasted a large hole in the castle’s wall, but the display prompted an act of stupidity in Dedede. Suddenly, a black eye appeared on his stomach as he shot a blast of energy at Geno.
Dedede: “THIS POWER WILL BE MINE”
Kirby swore loudly as he ran out of the castle. He knew that a heated demon battle was not the place to be. Dedede’s greed had gotten the better of him. He would be no match for Geno. Landing on the grass near a group of Dedede’s Minions, he explained to them that they were to round up everyone and meet at the Halberd. About then more explosions surrounded the scene as Dedede and Geno fought. The ferocity of this battle has never been seen on Pop Star. Kirby knew what he had to do. He must find a Warp Star and tell someone. MK would surely know to get out. Running quickly, he thought of his options and decided to go tell Mario. That was Geno’s original decision when he showed weakness. Mario was the answer.

The battle within Dedede’s castle was terrifying. Debris flew everywhere as blasts of dark energy from Geno and Dedede went soaring.
Geno: “You dare challenge me and my power.”
Dedede: “I crave it, I must have it. You must die”
Geno: “You are no match for me. You will be the one who dies; you and your pathetic planet. When I dispose of you, I shall call my master. Destruction is near.”
Dedede charged at Geno, but he was too slow. Geno mustered a gigantic blast of energy that sent the penguin crashing to the ground unconscious. The eyeball on Dedede’s Stomach faded away. Geno kicked Dedede’s unconscious body before flying off towards the sky

Kirby: “Where is that Warp Star?!!??”
He finally spotted one on the top of a hill. Me mounted it and zoomed to the sky. He looked down at King Dedede’s Castle. It was in complete ruin. The dust was settling. Was he too late? Kirby thought to himself that he must reach the Mushroom Kingdom in time to warn Mario. He sped through the sky towards space at breakneck speed. He broke through the atmosphere and began to look for the mushroom kingdom in the distance. He spotted it and began to speed towards it, but he was too late. Geno appeared in his path with a furious look upon him.
Geno: “You thought you could dispose of me didn’t you?”
Kirby: “NO I swear, I didn’t know!”
Geno: “LIAR! And I suppose you aren’t trying to escape are you.”
Kirby: “I…uh…”
Geno: “Perhaps you doubt the power given to me, the power of my master.”
At the point Geno rushed towards Kirby, grabbed him and pummeled him.. As he held Kirby in his hand, he blasted the warp star, and turned Kirby around to face Pop Star.
Geno: “I will give you a demonstration of my power.”
Geno conjured up three blasts of dark energy and threw them at the planet. These blasts caused huge explosions on the surface so massive that the dust reached space. Kirby could do nothing but watch. The beating he had received placed him on the edge of death.
Geno: “I am calling my master now. You all shall die”
He threw Kirby down towards his planet and shot a follow blast after him. As he fell towards the ground, he thought of his life, how it was about to end, and how if he had only been faster, he could have warned Mario. As he closed his eyes, accepting his fate, a hand grasped his own. He opened his eyes to see MK pulling him out of the way of the blast. They landed, and MK cast his cape over them. The blast hit, but they were unharmed.
MK: “What in the hell did you do? King Dedede’s unconscious, my ship is destroyed with one of those blasts and here you are falling to earth half dead….ANSWER ME D*** IT!!”
But Kirby fainted.
MK: “Well…that figures”

Miles away, in a large space ship, an aged voice came over the speaker.
Voice: “Umm..guys…..you need to come to the bridge…I’m getting a weird disturbance in Sector 1. Fox…I know it’s your and Krystal’s night off…we all know what you do in there…but this is important”
Fox: “Crap….that always figures”
Krystal: “UGH, Peppy…why does he have to pull something like this. We haven’t had a night off together in awhile…I even wore my old Dinosaur Planet outfit like you like.
Fox: Well…let’s just see what’s going on.
They both left the Captains Quarters to go to the bridge. They were joined by Slippy Toad and Falco Lombardi.
Falco: “What’s goin on thi…..HEY…nice outfit!!”
Krystal: “Can it pidgeon!....i still can’t believe I joined this group of guys. When will you and Slippy ever grow up?”
They snickered as they walked into the bridge.
Peppy: “Fox take a look at this. There is a massive disturbance. It seems like explosions.”
Slippy: “It’s probably just a couple asteroids colliding”
Peppy: “No, they are really powerful, and they are giving off a strange reading.”
Fox: “Can you bring up a visual?”
Peppy pressed some buttons and the main screen showed Pop Star with several clouds from the explosion. It was barely recognizable.
Fox: “OH NO! That’s Kirby’s Planet. Get this thing over there NOW!”

Kirby: “Alright. Lets come up with a plan…….I’ll take Geno to King Dedede, and you warn him of what’s happening then get ready the Halberd. If this world IS gonna die in 3 days, we need to be prepared. You need to get the Halberd ready for mass transport.”
MK: “What if I don’t want to get everyone on my ship?”
Kirby: “Then I’ll find a way to ground it and we’ll ALL die”
MK: “Ok….i’m convinced”
They walk back over to Geno and explain that Kirby will take him to see the king. This way the news will be wide spread rather than just two people. After some amount of convincing, Geno decides to tell King Dedede. The mass hysteria would make his master proud. MK said his goodbye to Geno and sped off to warn the King. As they walked on to King Dedede’s Castle, Kirby wondered whether or not this plan would work. He had a horrible feeling that it was going to fail, and only make things worse.
Chapter Three: The Puppet and the Penguin
Thousands of miles away from Pop Star, the Destroyer was getting a general feel of this galaxy. This vast galaxy held a strange power that he had never felt before. He feared it. He must find the source of this power and defeat it, or better yet, claim it as his own. His travels brought him to a strange planet. He landed on what appeared to be the ruins of an ancient civilization. He could sense power, but of a different kind. It was a malicious spirit, who had not crossed over. He felt the spirit’s anger and rage. If he could persuade this spirit to join him, this galaxy would crumble faster. As he observed the battle-worn scene, he concluded where the spirit resided. The rotting skeleton of a large beast lay on the ground several feet away. At this moment, The Destroyer knew what to do.
Destroyer: “Arise poor beast. I impart upon you a portion of the power given me. Arise from the grave and together we shall avenge your death. Simply follow my orders, and we shall rule the universe.”
He transferred energy to the skeleton. Suddenly, the bones began to stir. It rose up from the ground as organs, muscle, and flesh began to re-form on the once deceased body. As the beast observed his savior, he roared with victory. Ridley had risen from the dead.

As Kirby walked along the road with Geno, he kept getting cold chills. He didn’t particularly like his new company. Hoping that MK had fulfilled his promise, he silently strode on towards King Dedede’s Castle. Upon arrival, there was no guard at the front gate. It was left wide open for them to pass. Geno paid no attention to this, and walked on into the entryway. Kirby, however, slapped his forehead. He knew Dedede wasn’t the brightest penguin, but he was practically giving away the fact he knew someone dangerous was approaching. They strode straight into the throne room, and received a surprising bellowing voice.
Dedede: “WELCOME to Pop Star traveler. I hear that you have traveled a long way to see me. Such kindness.”
Kirby was already regretting this decision. Why had he listened to MK and trusted their fate to this pompous bird.
Geno: “I come to bear a message.”
Dedede: “In due time friend, please sit down (Geno did not move, but Dedede chose to continue) Where have you traveled from exactly?”
Geno: “My master’s presence.”
Dedede: “And where would that be?”
Geno: “You talk too much….you are trying my patience.”
Kirby chuckled. Dedede was taken by surprise in this outburst. No one had ever dared tell him he talked too much. He continued.
Dedede: “I can tell that you have power…demonic power. Am I correct?”
Geno: “Yes…….(looking interested) How can you tell?”
Dedede: “I have had some run-ins with demons in the past…..such power…..such strength.”
For a slight second, Kirby thought he saw a look of desire in the King’s face, but it disappeared as quickly as it showed up. The mood of the room changed, and everyone could feel it. Kirby shuffled nervously as the Waddle Dees began to shrink into corners trying to remain out of sight.
Dedede: “RIGHT, what’s this message you have come to tell me”
Geno: “This world shall die within 3 days…sooner if I choose. My master and I shall destroy this planet, and all your inhabitants.”
Dedede (strangely not looking worried): “back up….you said ‘sooner if I choose’ Explain yourself”
Geno: “My master trusts me and the power he has given me, If I become bored, or if your people anger me, I can summon him to destroy this place.”
The King now had a look of lust on his face. He did not care about his world. He only cared about the power. He must have this power. With it, he would be unstoppable. He could rule Pop Star and crush all opposition.
Dedede: “Show me this power”
Geno blasted a large hole in the castle’s wall, but the display prompted an act of stupidity in Dedede. Suddenly, a black eye appeared on his stomach as he shot a blast of energy at Geno.
Dedede: “THIS POWER WILL BE MINE”
Kirby swore loudly as he ran out of the castle. He knew that a heated demon battle was not the place to be. Dedede’s greed had gotten the better of him. He would be no match for Geno. Landing on the grass near a group of Dedede’s Minions, he explained to them that they were to round up everyone and meet at the Halberd. About then more explosions surrounded the scene as Dedede and Geno fought. The ferocity of this battle has never been seen on Pop Star. Kirby knew what he had to do. He must find a Warp Star and tell someone. MK would surely know to get out. Running quickly, he thought of his options and decided to go tell Mario. That was Geno’s original decision when he showed weakness. Mario was the answer.

The battle within Dedede’s castle was terrifying. Debris flew everywhere as blasts of dark energy from Geno and Dedede went soaring.
Geno: “You dare challenge me and my power.”
Dedede: “I crave it, I must have it. You must die”
Geno: “You are no match for me. You will be the one who dies; you and your pathetic planet. When I dispose of you, I shall call my master. Destruction is near.”
Dedede charged at Geno, but he was too slow. Geno mustered a gigantic blast of energy that sent the penguin crashing to the ground unconscious. The eyeball on Dedede’s Stomach faded away. Geno kicked Dedede’s unconscious body before flying off towards the sky

Kirby: “Where is that Warp Star?!!??”
He finally spotted one on the top of a hill. Me mounted it and zoomed to the sky. He looked down at King Dedede’s Castle. It was in complete ruin. The dust was settling. Was he too late? Kirby thought to himself that he must reach the Mushroom Kingdom in time to warn Mario. He sped through the sky towards space at breakneck speed. He broke through the atmosphere and began to look for the mushroom kingdom in the distance. He spotted it and began to speed towards it, but he was too late. Geno appeared in his path with a furious look upon him.
Geno: “You thought you could dispose of me didn’t you?”
Kirby: “NO I swear, I didn’t know!”
Geno: “LIAR! And I suppose you aren’t trying to escape are you.”
Kirby: “I…uh…”
Geno: “Perhaps you doubt the power given to me, the power of my master.”
At the point Geno rushed towards Kirby, grabbed him and pummeled him.. As he held Kirby in his hand, he blasted the warp star, and turned Kirby around to face Pop Star.
Geno: “I will give you a demonstration of my power.”
Geno conjured up three blasts of dark energy and threw them at the planet. These blasts caused huge explosions on the surface so massive that the dust reached space. Kirby could do nothing but watch. The beating he had received placed him on the edge of death.
Geno: “I am calling my master now. You all shall die”
He threw Kirby down towards his planet and shot a follow blast after him. As he fell towards the ground, he thought of his life, how it was about to end, and how if he had only been faster, he could have warned Mario. As he closed his eyes, accepting his fate, a hand grasped his own. He opened his eyes to see MK pulling him out of the way of the blast. They landed, and MK cast his cape over them. The blast hit, but they were unharmed.
MK: “What in the hell did you do? King Dedede’s unconscious, my ship is destroyed with one of those blasts and here you are falling to earth half dead….ANSWER ME D*** IT!!”
But Kirby fainted.
MK: “Well…that figures”

Miles away, in a large space ship, an aged voice came over the speaker.
Voice: “Umm..guys…..you need to come to the bridge…I’m getting a weird disturbance in Sector 1. Fox…I know it’s your and Krystal’s night off…we all know what you do in there…but this is important”
Fox: “Crap….that always figures”
Krystal: “UGH, Peppy…why does he have to pull something like this. We haven’t had a night off together in awhile…I even wore my old Dinosaur Planet outfit like you like.
Fox: Well…let’s just see what’s going on.
They both left the Captains Quarters to go to the bridge. They were joined by Slippy Toad and Falco Lombardi.
Falco: “What’s goin on thi…..HEY…nice outfit!!”
Krystal: “Can it pidgeon!....i still can’t believe I joined this group of guys. When will you and Slippy ever grow up?”
They snickered as they walked into the bridge.
Peppy: “Fox take a look at this. There is a massive disturbance. It seems like explosions.”
Slippy: “It’s probably just a couple asteroids colliding”
Peppy: “No, they are really powerful, and they are giving off a strange reading.”
Fox: “Can you bring up a visual?”
Peppy pressed some buttons and the main screen showed Pop Star with several clouds from the explosion. It was barely recognizable.
Fox: “OH NO! That’s Kirby’s Planet. Get this thing over there NOW!”
