Here are the rules.
-1 character
-You can NOT use 1 character made as 2 (exp: Ice climbers)
-HAVE FUN! ( if not you face will splode)
-Sign ups will continue until NOVEMBER 15 AT MIDNIGHT. (The night of the 14th.) After that, NO MORE APPLICANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
-First matches MUST BE COMPLETED BY NOVEMBER 23 AT MIDNIGHT. (Night of the 22nd.)
-If a participant does not post in TWO DAYS, their opponent may attack them with a NON LETHAL autohit.
-If a participant does not post in THREE DAYS, their opponent may attack them with a LETHAL autohit.
-Items purchased in the Smash Shop ARE NOT PERMITTED
So your app will just be saying your account name, then your character name, and any other info you should know. Here is a example

I am commandeering this tournament. Nautical term.

This looks to be the most people we're going to get choosing of their own accord. If we begin with six participants, the brackets will be uneven, meaning two people will advance to the semifinals without having a single match. If we can get two more people to join, every one will have the same number of fights. Let's try and get at least two more people on board. Angel and Star would probably need the least convincing.

By the executive power I have vested in myself, I am declaring that this tournament will be of the single elimination style. (You lose, you're out. No loser's bracket.) If this goes off smoothly, I may try and organize a team tournament down the line.

Rules as follows.
-Death disabled. Your character can die in the tournament, but it will not affect the main storyline.
-One on one matches only.
-Matches to be selected randomly.
-Participants will have one week to complete their battles. If the battle is not complete by then, three non-competing RP staff members will be asked to judge the battle and call a winner.
-If the battle goes overtime and both participants agree, they may choose to enter Sudden Death rather than have their match judged by three non-competing RP staff members. In Sudden Death, the first person to successfully land a blow is declared the winner.
-Other characters are allowed to observe the matches within the RP. These characters are incapable of interfering with the battle, directly or indirectly. Likewise, combatants cannot affect the spectators in any way.
-Battles will take place in a Coliseum setting, with any spectators in the stands. So long as both participants in a battle agree, they may decide what sort of terrain exists inside the ring.
-The participants of each battle may, if they wish, select a commentator of their choosing.

I'll set a start date when we have two more members. The bracket set up will look like this.

Also, I wouldn't mind taking a "commentator" spot of the mutiny that Kismet just did allows it still. That will be Princess' who I will be posting tonight as long as things don't get keeled.

Umm, you misread what I said Kirbs. I wanted Kaimu to participate, but if you want, my character "Princess-Puffy-Pants" can help you commentate since she's a pacifist and doesn't fight, I think she would make some hilarious commentary.

We have our 8 people, so the matches can begin. I will send out a PM to all participants informing them of the dates by which their matches must be complete, which Kirbs and I will discuss shortly. For now, here are the matches. All matches were decided randomly. I wrote numbers on slips of paper, each representing the participants in the order they joined, and drew them out of a hat.

NOTE: If more people join, we'll need another 8 people to have even match ups. If less people join, some participants will have one less match than everyone else. So, I'd like to ask everyone already signed up if they'd prefer we stop accepting applications, or continue to allow people to join, with the understanding that not all the match ups will be fair. Post with your vote!
