....*sigh* This is causing way to much of a problem for me for some reason... I AM A REGISTERED USER OF THE C-BOX! But it won't let me talk.......Magical box say "register profile before posting" Well i click profile and it say you are using the name Conr........So i can't log in it... and can't post..And now i have to try not to show all my anger while typing this thread that shouldn't even have to be made in the first place...If you think you have problems with spammers, brawlers, and other random people. than just deal with it They leave in a day or two anyways. And spammer really are not many spammers looking to randomly spam up a site about SSBB wich btw has lost it's touch with it. So if 1 lonley brawler comes to the site goes in teh c-box and asks if he wants to brawl here are some things you can do.

1. Tell him yes or no
2.point him in the direction of All is Brawl so that he doesn't come back.

And on the topic of AIB If one person says it people start to freak out that your advertising and thats a bunch of bull. If they are only going to come here to brawl Than just tell them about the site like the nice guy you are or should be and he will just leave in the internets magical world. 2.It doesn't matter if a spammer leaves in one or 2 days, they're a spammer.
3.Why would we avert people's attention to another site? If I opened a Pokemon site and a new member came by, would I tell them "This site sucks, go join serebii"? No, we're trying to get people to join.
4.If someone can't take 10 seconds to make an account, why would you WANT them to be a member?
5.Advertising is strictly against the rules. You're mostly making that point against what I did a few days ago. Most people don't even know that we've already forgiven each other.
6.Advertising shoots away potential members. Some members only registered and such because we were friendly here with them. One of those people that we send away could've been the best mod we've ever seen, but then we drive them away, what would that accomplish?
7.You're acting like a lazy person, just tell a mod "there's a problem" instead of saying that "the new addition sucks"

Spammer is a spammer true but if a newbie comes by and types 5 posts then leave that not really spamming Most people that spam are the people that are on this site and think they can get away with it. Mod ship does not give you the right to just randomly bully people.
And the thing about advertising is that if some one Doesn't Care AT ALL ABOUT FOURMS and they just want to play brawl they don't want to take the time to make an account they don't want to go to a brawl site were no one does Any type of Brawl tournaments OR really even talks about brawl that much anymore because it's a game that became new about a year and a half ago Now maybe once or twice a month some people will start to talk about brawl and will brawl People like fear tho are mostly interested in brawl but not much into the fourms so try to do that is pointless Peope don't care much about fourms that have a subject for the fourm at first but then later and later that fourm starts to forget and loses it's touch with the reason. so if you want more member than open the c-box so that can just openly talk and not have to bother because HELL KNOWS I WOULD NOT WANT TO SIGN UP FOR A FOURM WHEN I DON'T EVEN "Get" "Have" or DESERVE THE CHANCE TO SAMPLE. - Conr

Here are some more points

1.Most forums don't even let you look at posts without registering.
2.Noone said anything about someone comming to the site and saying 5 messages before leaving. I'm talking about the 4 recent link king attacks that have spammed over 400 messages.
3.Even if you only care about brawling at first, it doesn't matter. Look at Sour, at first, all he wanted from here was a brawl, then he joined the site because of the members.
4.No, you're being lazy, you're BAWWWing over this while you could've easily said "oh hey, there's a problem"
5.No mod bullys anyone, the only ones that did aren't moderators anymore (EG. sheik)
6.There's a brawl tournament section, it's not our fault if everyone's lazy and never finished their tourneys.
7.You can see the discussions on the cbox already. That should be a "sample"
8.It's common for a gaming site not to always be talking about one game of the franchise it's built around.
9.Join, 10 seconds, PM, wait a day, chat. Come back following days to chat even more. I don't see anything that prevents anyone from doing that unless they don't have an email address.

*sigh* I'm not saying that some person coming here to brawl is a spammer, who said that? I said this isn't MSN, they come to the cbox and as they brawl, they use it as a battle chat while everyone else can't keep up with their own conversations. Eventually the other people give up and the brawlers hog the cbox to themselves.
EG. "1:Hey wanna brawl?" "2:sure" "1:FC?" "1:############" "1: I win" "1:that was a nice spike" "2:well you didn't have to taunt after killing me" "3:hi" "2:I lost again" "1:Take that triple finish" "3: I'll just be going..." "1:Stop spamming!" "2: I only used thunder twice!"

I'm not saying every match will go like that, but people who brawl usually do that over the cbox like this is some live chat.


Key, yes, we locked the cbox because of spammers. If there was a bomb threat in your house, would you want to wait for it to explode and clean up the remains, or would you throw out the bomb entirely? I'd go with the latter, because it's the smartest option.


This conversation has nothing to do with advertising. Conr brought it up as a random point because he thought that we were having problems with people wanting to brawl here. We don't.
