Dolphins comunicate using different spins and flips when they jump.
Cats regard territory in terms of space as well as time. For instance, one cat my occupy one area in the morning, but will relinquish it to another cat in the afternoon.

Animals, such as cats and dogs, rely so heavily upon scent to discern the existence of other animals that when put in front of a mirror, they notice nothing (they are not self-aware). This is because the reflection does not emit an odor.
