I think we should make it so all topics on this forum can only be posted on BY MEMBERS. This will help prevent the chance of some random spammer guest coming in and spamming on topics. And even if they were a member at least they could be banned from the site then. This and a locked cbox goes quite well. But then again this is my opinion.

no, guests can post, if they write a name, post more than 3 letters, and provide a captcha image

I agree with KOD on this one. Making the threads member only will really cut back on the spammers and make them a bit easier to manage.

I agree. Like there could be someone that wants to not follow the rules, so they would go under as a guest. I think membership is better so that at least it can be tracked down or to prevent people not following the rules.

The thing is is that those annoying spammers can just as easilly make accounts and spam the place up.
So it wouldn't do much good.

I have to agree with KoD to. When a member spams, we would know who was doing, and can stop it. With a guest, we can't stop them, and we don't know who it is.

when it's a member, we can't really do much different from a guest except deleting their profile or something, which they could make another one. However, a guest's post can easily be erased. Any topics can be deleted in 1 click, and spammers usually go after the cbox, it's much easier.
