i made this roster. i tried to make it "old school" nickelodeon characters replacing thier nintendo counter-parts in melee! i'll make another one for brawl once i get a roster pick of that roster, i'll probably have to add "new" nick characters there cause i don't think i have many "old" nick shows to get characters from after melee.

most of the characters are either a joke on the name (donkey kong= donkey lips) or the look (kirby and face from nick jr.) or both (link and young link = pete and young pete) i thought it came out pretty funny. some counter parts fit better than others. if you like this one give me some ideas for newcomer equivilant of brawl characters to nickelodeon characters!

My favorite is fire; let me explain why by quoting some RP posts I made on another forum:

"You're not the only one with surprises," The young fire bender chuckled as he rushed towards his foe, "Let's see just how many of my three pseudo-bending techniques you can get through." With this, Vlin created streams of flame in rapid succession, each carefully positioned, but not one of them on a direct course for Orin. Pseudo-Air Bending; the heat causes the surrounding air to rise and expand, thus leaving a vacuum which must be filled. Certainly not as powerful as an air nomad, but it's enough to make a small cyclone.

"You dare offer me mercy after what you did to those children?!" Vlin's mind degraded into a state of near-insanity at this point, "It's time I showed you what I'm really capable of!" Vlin slammed his fist into the ground as a spire of stone burst out of the ground directly in front of Orin. Pseudo-Earth Bending, the second of my techniques. Deep in the earth, there are underground rivers of fire; by rupturing these streams, I can cause rocks to shoot from the ground. Once a rock is in the air, I no longer have control over it, but so long as I'm not fighting an Earth Bender, that should be no problem.

"T-this..." Vlin couldn't even speak; he wasn't prepared for something of this magnitude. I have to act quickly... now it's time to use the forbidden technique: Pseudo-Ice Bending. Suddenly, a cool wind began to blow from Vlin- no, a cool wind wasn't blowing from him, he was drawing all the heat towards himself! By removing all the heat in the air, I can instantly freeze anything- or anyone. And anything that is rapidly heated after being frozen shatters with ease; the walls of Ba Sing Se wouldn't survive this technique. By time the whirlwind struck Roshi, it was a refreshingly cool breeze. All of the heat from the attack was now concentrated in the palm of his hand. But after this, Vlin did a most unexpected thing; he threw the heat into the sky, where it exploded without doing harm to anyone. You are lucky old man; I promised Master Roshi that I would never use this technique on a living person. However, there is one last technique which I have... "We are both weakening; I've taken a severe blow to my arm, and your body simply doesn't have the stamina to keep up much longer. I told you I wouldn't hold back anymore, so I suppose it's time I show you this." Gritting his teeth from the pain of moving his injured arm, Vlin dragged his left hand across the flat side of his sword, the blazes following his fingers all the while. When he reached the tip of the blade, a spiral of flames surrounded it from tip to hilt. "Come, test yourself in the crucible of flames that is the Kaguzuchi!"

So, as you can see, with some creative thinking, fire can imitate any form of bending.
