Personally I consider this a ripoff, but since the video game industry seems to be founded on ripping people off... this development isn't exactly unexpected.
However I haven't played Xbox, so this opinion can be a bit bias (old nintendo supporter)

Avatars are a rip off of miis, but they aren't as good in almost every way.
and i'm starting to really hate this thing...thought i'd grow to like it...but i just hate it more

Meh, I like it. I don't see how you guys can't? Of course I never have a clue what the heck I'm doing half the time so in which case this system was built for immbesiles like me that need colorul backgrounds and ripoffs of other material to guide my easy to entertain mine through the art of finding where the heck I can get a cooler gamer picture.
If you couldn't follow that sentence, then you shouldn't try the NXE it's just too powerful for BB's mined to comprehend.

the old menu was just so much more organized and i knew where everything was. This one is just a bunch of randomly aranged boxes, half of which are advertisements.

LOL I agree it is a ripoff, however i think the NXE is way better than the OXE, once you know where everything is it's pretty easy to find stuff

yeah the NXE is actually more arranging. Just except for it being horizontal its vertical  . Its alright with me. Though that install to hardrive thing is really stupid. I could rent a game and download to the hardrive XD. |

You have to have the disc even if you downloaded it to the hard-drive
