RP5 Basic Plot Premise
[/size][/b][/u]Chapter 1
So, as per member request, the new RP will take place in an all new world. Hoorah. Of course, it will still focus on all our favorite Nintendo worlds and retain the same basic smash setup. So, here’s the deal. In this new world, all the various Nintendo Worlds are connected together by the Coliseum, a sort of interdimensional transit station. See the RP5 Locations Guide here for details. The Master Hand is responsible for the creation of all these worlds, and basically runs the place. And then all of a sudden, our characters start appearing into the world. The Hands are like “Hey. Who are you and what are you doing in my house?” and locks the place down. To figure out what to do with all these newcomers and whether or not they’re worthy to hang out in the Smash Universe, they decide to challenge the foreigners to a series of challenges. The top performers of these challenges would be offered spots as enforcers for the Hands, and be tasked with keeping the rest in line. Here’s a more “official” version which we’ll probably be using in the actual RP.
The Coliseum, a timeless place spawned by dreams and the imagination, connects the various Nintendo Worlds together. Their stories have played out against each other countless times in an eternal tale of heroism and villainy, good and evil, Creation and Destruction. The Master Hand, the physical manifestation of the creative spirit, sculpted the worlds around him, while his dark antithesis reclaimed what he had wrought. But all that changed when the Void Gateway sprang to life. Strange beings began to emerge from its depths, alien creatures from beyond the confines of the Nintendo Worlds. Beings sprung from the mind of some other creator. To stem the spread of this bizarre flood, the Hands sealed all the other Gateways save one-the Mushroom Kingdom; the sacrificial guinea pig with which to test whether the foreign intrusion turned venomous. But a more scrupulous method of examination would be required to test the mettle and disposition of the intruders. And so, the ancient Coliseum would be put to use once more. The newcomers would be tried by fire. The worthy would stand among the legends of the Nintendo Worlds. The rest would burn.
This is the basic premise, so it’s not all that’ll be going on in Chapter 1. More information will be presented as it becomes relevant.
