Okay, I was JUST in the C-Box and Art brought up about this idea. Can members have Critique threads? I think it'd be pretty awesome. Some members, like meh, may be insecure of themselves. You know, we wanna know what we're doing that's not right and stuff like that. What's so terrible about us, what's so awesome about us? You know, things like that. I'm pretty sure the members are just as audacious as the staff and can handle some lovely/evil critique. I'm highly supporting this because I personally think I'm hated by half the site. I have a history of forums you know. My last forum wasn't the best trip.
So mods, staff, may members have critique threads?

I think members should, but only certain trusted active members. Although, I may be a bit biased because I'm a member too... But since the staff can see what they're doing wrong, why can't the members try to better themselves too?

I agree with this as well. We all want to improve ourselves, not just the staff. We should be able to make a thread to for us to give opinions about one another.

Funny i had the Same idea but mine is going into FAR more detail. So i saw all the staff all have critique threads but i ask you what about the members. You know the members the people that Make the site what it is today. Us members are important people too. So i was wandering, what if us members receive critiques just like the staff did to become overall better members. But there's a catch. In order to receive your own critique thread you must follow a few guidelines. - They must be an active member
- They must be on the site for 5 months
- They must have a post count of at least 500.
- They must participate in group discussions both on and off the cbox.
These are just a few possible rules but i think it would be a good way for us common members to be honest with each other and express our opinions on our fellow members. The mods can decide among themselves who they think is worthy of getting their own critique thread. It couldn't hurt to at least try cause in the end it will lead to good members become even better members. So what do you think?

I kind of new this would happen within a day of them being active, and I was right. I'll just come out with it that me and Angel suggested the idea of having a critiquing board (although most mods agreed, thank you again) that memebers could post in. However, I was against the fact of having the memebers like yourselfs have threads, here's why:
1. Unless we follow what KoD stated (which I'm like 50% with 50% against) there would be WAY too many threads. No offense to you guys, but there are only about 9 active staff memebers (and like 7 threads) having all the members be allowed to have one could possibly quadrouple the amount. It just be way too much critiquing.
2. The idea was to have critiquing toward the staff. I mean, you guys are always whinning and complaining (no offense) about how corrupt and unjust we are, well now we made threads, but if we gave you guys your own threads then I think it would be drama, drama, drama 24/7, which is already on the brink of making people quit the site.
3. I really don't know how to word this correctly, but staff memebers need critique threads more then memebers do. True, we are both equally important, you guys make up the forum and without you there would not be a forum, but because of the position the staff is in, we kind of symbolicly deserve to have them more then you.
Maybe, and it is a big maybe, if we follow KoD's guidelines (again big maybe) or if the staff threads aren't very active then we will allow a select few to gradually have threads. Kin is the only exception, for reasons I really don't know why.

Okay, so maybeh..what if we had certain members..you know what? Imma make a list of members I THINK deserve to have critique thread, it won't be a lot. Is it okay if I do that?
EDIT
I also agree with KoD but CERTAIN criteria's may have not been reached yet the member ish highly approachable, someone friendly, respectful, and genuine. He/she never gives the staff a hard time, is always helpful in somewhat way, if in the RPG, make sure he/she ish active in the RPG and ish helping to make more RPG's in the other sections of RPG. Someone who has helped to make suggestions and everything.. Just so no one will feel like out. So include KoD's criteria:
+They must be an active member
+They must be on the site for 5 months
+They must have a post count of at least 500.
+They must participate in group discussions both on and off the cbox.
And if the sweetest people who are genuine and respectful and helpful dun have a certain criteria, I think it'd be fair enough to let 'em haz a critique thread.

Hmm.. that better than just letting everyone have one, that's for sure. 500 posts is quite alot though.. but maybe in this circumstance.. I don't know. I really don't know what my stance is on this. I just want epic soup. >

+They must have a post count of at least 500.
I disagree with this one. There are some members who post but don't deserve those post counts.
And you should define active, some people can say they're active, even though they've been trusted/here for like 2 weeks, some people are here like every other day for like half an hour and say they're active, and some people you don't think are active, but are pretty active and just lurking the forum... like me >_>

Lower the post count to 300 5 month MINIMUM and lastly Active meaning you have been on the site and participated within the last month.

to be honest, the changes to the guidelines seem a bit biased... I feel like they were only changed because a few members didn't fit the criteria, so you're changing it so that they DO fit it.
