Which version of the song "Heartless" is better?

It's not really a serious topic, but I want more of a discussion on this than "so and so is the best".



The song Heartless was originally sung by Kanye West, and then a cover done by the Fray. One the page for the Fray there was lots of debate (mostly flaming) on which was better. Here are the two versions.

So which version do you think is better? No flaming, just pick out points on the music videos, how it is sung, etc. and give your opinion.




As for my opinion, it may be slightly biased since I own two of the Fray's cd and think they're a great band.

EDIT:

To me, the Fray version had much more feeling it it. In the Kanye version he sounds like he is bitter at the relationship, but in the Fray version more regretful about it being over. Not saying that one of those is better than the other, but I can connect more to the Fray version.

As for the video, they're both good, but the drawings for the Fray video is amazing. Must have been really challenging to get that.

actually I like Rock more than rap like Blink-182 is my favorite band. and I feel like the Fray's version just sounds awkward and its to sad sounding plus Kanye sang it much better imo.

fair enough. i tend to like sadder songs, but i do admit, Kanye's isn't bad, its just different. as to it sounding awkward, not so sure on that, maybe personal taste.

also, the Kris allen version i listened to again, and it is sung well and i like the arrangement enough, but im not sure that it contains as much of the sadness of the version by the fray. i mean, its just a different feel which people get based on their experiences.
