I have been pondering this for a little while, and I decided to ask you all: Do you see your characters as characters or creations? By characters, I mean that they're just puppets; they're there so you can RP. By creations, I mean your characters are people; your characters have thoughts, feelings, desires, goals.
I personally see my characters as creations. Whenever I RP, i cannot control my characters, I can only infulence them. They control me, not the other way around. I see them as living things; beings that deserve respect. Heck, I even have conversations with them on what to post sometimes. XD
So, I wanted to ask you, do you see your RP characters as just characters, or creations, and why do you feel this way?

Creations FTW!! My characters are living things that I created. I can influence them but i can't control them like a puppet. I believe that all characters should be like that.

Can I say that they are "neither" my characters are just me.. I live as them, learn as them, I become them. I use perosnality traits and history and escape life with them, I live through them, I feel for them, I am them.

That would go under the creation half. They have feelings, goals, and all that, you just happen to be looking through their eyes, if I am understanding correctly. Am I?

i agree, definitely a creation. I mean, basically I modeled smashbro after me, if I was to be in a smash game. Of course, I embellished some traits to make them more apparent and made myself slightly more athletic, reflecting if everything that happened was true I would be more fit and fighting ready.
but the personality is completely me, and pretty much what i would do in the situations. IDK what else to say, i am smashbro, smashbro is me. I took on the inner smashbro when I joined this site.
