Ah colonization. A neat prospect, but ultimately flawed. It would never cure population issues, thats for sure. I say this given the fact that we can only transfer maybe a hundred or so people per couple-million dollar space launch at the current predicted maximum (predicted mass transport, which has yet to be developed). The there's terraforming. Which would be great if we went ahead and started with Mars. Sure it'll take about six hundred years, but imagine six-hundred years from now if went ahead and did it. A second Earth (kinda sorta not really). I'm fascinated by space. Its limitless expanses and nearly as limitless dangers. I just don't see much practicality in looking at the stars as a potential future in this day and age. (I don't mean to sound hypocritical, I have mixed views on the subject)

The world will not end at 2012. I simply know that would be too predictable. My children are going to live to grow up.

December 23, 2012 will be a normal day, just as January 1, 2000, and every alleged date of doomsday that came before.

OMG this is probably old but i love you Angel. Thank you for doing research.
i don't mean to sound mad at anyone else but i appreciate that you looked it up. December 21, 2012 (my 21st brithday) is supposed to be the ending of a calendar, and then after a 5 day period, the next one will start on December 27th (my brother's birthday).
they have predicted dates after 12/21 so no, it is not the end of the world. freaky coincidence for me though

If the world does end on December 21, 2012, I'm blaming you, Smashy.
