"Eep!" was all the girl was capable of making, her eyes wide in fear like some sort of bizarre emoticon with two capital o's and a underscore. In fact, she was probably a perfect representation of that particular emoticon and if someone had been able to take a picture of this act they probably could have had it put on every description of it on the internet.
"Get away from the #@$&! edge girl!" the cry of a a seemingly gruff and manly voice came was sounded in the air, but the actual source of it, a blue teddy bear with a tuxedo on seemed almost amusing and overly comical. On a nervous instinct, Nate checked to see if her ear filter was still functional which in design would block out any adult language with a soft beep. After seeing that it was he thanked that she had been ready to go out of the house when she had absentmindedly played with that device.. her hearing him curse would be unhealthy for her but he felt the time and situation had called for an appropriate usage of it.
Well, with the filter in place all she heard was a beep in place, so was there really any sense in ragging on him?
However, the young girl named Bambi was still looking over the space-station window, something that was seemingly uncommon for most passengers on these sort of vessels and especially not for a girl her age. A few of the onlookers stared at her for a moment.. The first was a young man who seemed a tad smitten with the girl and wore the name tag Banks. In his thoughts, he was noting the girls strange clothing and lack of seemingly care that she was wearing it. Staring at her a bit slackjawed, what he found extremely fetching happened to be a soft pink, short sundress that lovingly showed off her legs but occasionally as she got excited she would bounce up and down a tad showing off a tad bit of soft white underthings. The A.I Bear was not amused with this first one and his comments to Bambi were directed to his staring. He had scanned the man on the second level to find that his hormone levels were spiking and instantly felt defensive over his childish daughter. Young men trapped in space for long periods of time were not to be trusted he gathered quickly.
The second man, named Calvin was however not amused, mostly with the young Banks infatuation with the girl. He was supposed to be seeing to inventory and preparing the stock bays for reloading at their destination and instead he was sitting her gawking at some young thing parading around in something that was not suited for space travel. Sure, current technology on these porter ships designed for transporting cargo were designed with the idea of transporting people along with it and had were relativity safe to wear civilian clothes in, but this didn't change the fact that it was common knowledge and sense that just because it was possible to do it didn't mean it was wise. Shorts with the oxygen wasn't common and there was plenty to live off of for when it did, but if a situation came where it was not so easily repairable or gravity situations happened to arise her current outfit would only serve to get in the way. He grumbled a bit about kids before smacking the young Banks on the head.
"Get back to work you lazy bastard!" he said, misplacing a bit of his anger on this charge instead of the girl like he was trying to work up the nerve to do. Somehow, yelling at pretty girls was a lot more intimidating than yelling at young men.. a phenomenon which all men would continue to be confused over.
The last man was entering just as young Banks left and he was trying to work up the courage to tell something that he knew Calvin wouldn't like to hear.. but was deadly important. It seemed that there was strange activity in the nearby regions and while he wasn't sure.. the young man feared that villainy could be responsible. He had been told so many ghost tales of Space Pirates and what they did to ships such as this that he was becoming over paranoid the second a bleep appeared on his monitor. This had earned him the nickname Radar, and while they men would have no knowledge of this he almost even looked like his M*A*S*H namesake.
However, right as he started his shaky comment the gruff Calvin, the man walked forward, having worked up his nerve after seeing her bounce about again. "You, lass! I know we found your in some rubble drifting about in some godforsaken military rubble and managed to save you, and don't get me wrong we are proud at how #@$&!ng lucky you are that we looked for salvageable supplies on it and found a little survivor .. but what were you doing on it in the first place and why are you.. wearing THAT little thing of nothing!" he said, pointing a nervous hand to her outfit.
Bambi turned around, showing off her large and innocent doe eyes. Calvin thought absentmindedly that these eyes were a bit too innocent and he expected almost foul play.. but also admitted that if he had remembered that doe-y expression he might not have had the courage to say what he just said. She put her finger to her mouth and said in a small but audible voice. "What are you talking about Mister?"
All whilst this conversation was going on, AI was working on an viable excuse from the small amounts of knowledge he had gathered. As long as Bambi didn't say anything stupid, and he had gotten lucky before.. everything should work out well enough. He noted that since he had been on the ship they had picked up two loads of passengers.. but it was the specific ship being a military vessel and her obvious clothes showing she had no connection to the military that was spooking this commander.
Time Spent: 30 minutes. Inspiration/Influences: None. Need Help Joining?: The ship has picked up two loads of passengers in order to transport them between worlds. Your character could have been one of those and heard the yelling commotion from both A.I Nate and Calvin.

The hum of distant engines was all the sound that was needed for Alpha-Manganell, who was- quite literally- waltzing down the hallway. He and his invisible partner turned and twirled around confused pedestrians, unsure of whether they were more surprised by seeing a machine such as him or seeing a machine such as him dancing, and dancing well. He even whistled a in a low tone, matching the pulse of the unseen fuel lines from deep within the ship, unseen and unheard by those who would normally partake in an excursion aboard a ship such as this.
He had, of course, begun this dance in his own quarters. The soft ebb and flow of the lines could be heard there, of course, and that was where Alpha's courtship of such fine machinery had begun. However, such a dance is not to be contained by such tight spaces! Not if it is to truly be a dance from the heart!
Ignoring the fact that he in fact had no heart to love with, Alpha had danced himself into the hallway, and followed the lines in the wall as they directed him, guided him, and comforted him. It was hard for one such as him to live in a world like this, even temporarily, but a little comfort went a long way, even if that which comforted you did not in fact speak to you.
Brushing past a rather crestfallen looking young man, Alpha opened his eyes only slightly as he past, catching a bit of his nametag, enough to make out the letters n-k-s. Lanks? Tranks? Hanks? Banks?
Letting the problem simply slip out of his mechanical mind, Alpha simply spun and continued his dance, quickening his pace only slightly to make up for the time he'd lost without making a jump in movement, making his recovery all the more graceful.
Breezing into the room beyond, Alpha had every intention of simply waltzing on through, and completely would have if he had not had the unfortunate luck as to have been placed by the beat directly in the path (or rather, on a path directly through) a rather gruff-looking man, who gave a rather angry sound when Alpha bumped into him, still dancing with his imaginary partner.
"Terribly sorry." Alpha said, not opening his eyes, but not continuing on his way either. He chose instead to lean back slightly, bringing his elbows in and spinning his hands around at the wrist as though he was conducting an orchestra. "Didn't notice you."
Even with that stated, Alpha-Manganell did not move from where he stood, facing the man, but his eyes closed and therefore, not gazing upon him.

[Rundas`s ship]
His ship was quite cramped, seeing as there was just room enough to be in it. But it perfectly suited him for his missions, his current being a scout for the HighWind, the military ship that he was flying alongside. He peered inside the ships windows, and caught quite a spectacle. An oficer being whacked on the head, a young girl gazing out the window, a strange machine waltzing, yes, waltzing, along the deck. Rundas knew that he would need to perform another scoutin run soon. He didn`t need those pirates attacking them all in an ambush.

[Cat, First Person] Ahh, that meal was filling. So as I walked on all fours along the crowd of people, I wondered. Where are all of these humans going? It's customary to have humans in a crowd during a gathering or event or something, but I just didn't see what was going on that was so special. Maybe this was one of their customs or something, whatever it was, it was getting harder to walk around. I ignored it anyway, and just went along in a straight line. Maybe these humans will lead me to something fun. That'd be nice, maybe even a place to catch a bit of sleep with some comfort. We're nocturnal, and it's not night time. I just got up because I was famished before that last meal I had.
Where were these people going? All I saw were some pant-suits and shoes. Nothing really interesting, though, everyone was wearing it. I hope this wasn't an event for that though. That would've been boring. I'm way too hot as it is, pants would just make me sweat. Though, the intriguing thing was the platform they were about to step on. Hopefully, nobody would notice me.
And with that, I hopped on along with them. Hiding behind 2 pairs of feet, I stealthily made my entrance. Nobody saw, so, I hopped out and started exploring. I quickly found my way around, and nobody even saw! There were these things on the walls, they were pretty cool, but I could climb all over them, nobody even sees me. Now there was a bit of yelling. I remember this was customary of when people were angry. I hope nobody was mad now, let's just go the other way...

Calvin just looked at ditzy doe Bambi with almost.. surprise, anger? He definitely didn't consider him a sexist or something who just assumed that all women were brain dead, but this chick seemed to be mentally challenged.. and he didn't believe it for a second! Her movements, however attractive in their own way were childish and simplistic. Probably some girl who had charmed too many boys with the innocent act. No, no one was going to mess with his head on this ship. This little brat wasn't going to play innocent with him, he deserved answers. This was his ship. "Okay you little..--" NATE however wasn't about to let that happen. He sensed the bigger humans anger producing hormones start to spike so fast and started filling her mature language filter with loud retro childish but cutesy music set on repeat until he turned it off. No, no, he wasn't going to expose his emotionally fragile child to such needless anger. The man however didn't end up even being able to finish his rant because he started to be rammed by another being that had been simply waltzing about. NATE didn't really understand why this would be viewed as horribly strange since he believed that all human behavior was strange. But Bambi had been fascinated with for a moment... it had been like he was dancing to the music in her head. She even clapped a few times strangely which seemed to have been ignored at least by Calvin. Because he was too busy exploding. "What the hell 'you doin, just ramming into people around the ship. Didn't you get taught manners?!" he said, aiming his anger now on the.. THING in front of him. He couldn't tell if it was human or cyborg or.. whatever. Not that this man was prejudice in the slightest.. if you have seen one Artificial Intelligence that claims Sentient feelings, you've seen them all and he felt that it was better to not even judge or think about it too hard. However, he had been made a fool of twice in a row so his anger was just at the moment intense. After all was said and done, he was starting to feel already bad and even scratched his mustache a bit nervously. "Well.. no lasting harm done I suppose.. but watch where you are going.." NATE took this moment to finally draw attention to himself, standing on a table to get further notice. "Sorry for the trouble Captain. I am Artificial Intelligence NATE, charged with young Bambi's safe keeping. She was in love with a young man serving in the military and had even stowed away on this ship to be with him against his urging. But on their way to their target destination 2 days ago, they were attacked by an unknown enemy leaving the crew, including her love dead. This seems to have left the young woman with a bit of amnesia to deal with such a traumatic event and she has been extremely spacey since then." During this small period of time though, a few things happened at once. First thing, the captain almost scoffed. So she was one of those kinda girls, getting herself in trouble because of "love" without realizing that she was harming them. Sure, the death of the crew wasn't her fault and he understood that she was damaged from the incident.. but she shouldn't have even been there in the first place. If this story was true, then he could see her arrested for impeding a military strike.. but decided she had gone through enough. He kinda hoped that Radar hadn't sent out the field reports about her yet.. Secondly, a cat checking out the view of things inside this living space withing the ship was stealthy roaming about.. but Bambi's attention was so unfocused on anything that her eyes were wandering every which way.. and she had spotted a quick glimpse of the animal. Not seeing anything like that but in picture books (a cat being something she never had owned in her short life) she sneaked away from her teddy bear parent and as soon as she thought she was out of his sensing.. she ran in the direction in the other end of the room to try to find the kitty. This wouldn't have gone unnoticed by her parental AI, but then the young Radar finally got the courage to blurt out what he had come to tell the Captain. "Sir, we have some as of yet unidentified objects heading our way. They appear to be large enough to be crafts of some sort and are of a unknown material.. Captain Calvin.. they haven't responded to our transmissions so we are worried they aren't friendly." This had caught NATE's attention.. worried about her safety so much that Bambi had been allowed her momentary escape. "Argh!" the bulky and now fuming Captain raged. "One thing after another." he pulled out his communicator and yelled into it. "Scouter, visual report ASAP."

The bear had stated it was mechanical. An artificial life form, like him. It struck a chord with Alpha, who, at the sound of it, straitened his back and forced his eyes open very suddenly. The news hit him harder than the news that followed, the news of possible attackers. That didn't bode well for Alpha, who would not survive should the ship be destroyed- he could be rebuilt by the Mechanus peoples sure, but he'd become the laughing stock of the Inevitables. Like Kabult, the Inevitable that found itself caught in an eradication-spell trap. He never lived it down.
Grimacing without realizing he was still staring at the bear, Alpha stepped away from the man, Calvin, and apologized again, this time his focus completely unbroken. His voice was even, angry almost, as he felt his systems come to life. Alpha had not technical readouts to tell him what was and what was not online, but his very body had signals and signs, such as the soft blue glow that now came from the back of his right hand, telling him that his Buster-Bow was online. There was someone here that he was targeting, but where were they?
Striding forward to the viewport without a word, Alpha brushed just passed the bear without even realizing he was there. It was a kindred spirit as far as Alpha was concerned, but he needed to know if it was Samus Aran out there. If it was, immediate actions must be taken, if not then... well, every mission can wait, right?
Pushing aside the extremely un-inevitable thought, Alpha spied the target- a ship. Belonging to who? It didn't matter- it wasn't Samus, but another bounty hunter like her.
Satisfied, Alpha hunched over again and wrapped his arm in his cloak, hiding the soft glow from view after it had been on display for so long. Not that he cared much.
With that task done, Alpha (bypassing the obviously overprotective bear that was going to take actions against him, he just knew it) met the eyes of the girl, the one that clapped. He was trying not to scare her, but he knew that his appearance was enough to do that much on its own.
"My name's Alpha, what's yours?" His voice was even and flat, but his face was warm, and a smiled crossed it. He looked devious, despite his truly good intentions. Silently, he cursed his limited facial movement range- the boys back at Mechanus hadn't considered that sort of thing totally necessary, since he had the ability to disguise himself as anyone he needed to, but they had overlooked the design flaw of the fact that he could only do so in the presence of a target, thus making moments like this, where he could really use it, completely out of the question.

Calvin: "Scouter, visual report, ASAP!"
Rundas had already zoomed ahead of the Highwind on another scouting run, when he noticed the group of space pirate vessels. That isn`t good, he thought. ATCs, Assault Skiffs, and two of the most deadliest ships to the passengers of the Highwind. Boarding Pods. But what he also noticed was that they were chasing a normal Alliance ship. Rundas knew that he was supposed to be scouting for the Highwind, but he couldn`t help but feel sorry for the guy. It`s not like Rundas could go in there, guns ablazing (He`s only got one), to rescue them.
RRundas over comlink: "We`ve got pirates alright. But this looks like more than a patrol. They`ve got ATCs, Skiffs, Boarding Pods, and a command ship. This must have been a fleet assigned for some conquest mission. But they`re chasing an Alliance cruiser. It looks to be non-military issue. No weapons. Orders, sir?"

A bit more yelling. I checked it out to find it was a small group of humans. Odd, until now, there weren't many people in this hallway. I eyed them suspiciously for a few seconds, was that a bear? Suddenly, a little girl saw me. Drat, my cover's been blown. Let's hope she didn't see me specifically, humans always overlook things like that. Well, like me I guess.
Oh snap, one of them saw me. It was a little girl, now I couldn't be seen, I usually get kicked out for doing that. Without any thinking, I just ran the other way, scurrying around so nobody would find me. Oh, look at that, an air duct, and it's open! Perfect, humans can't get through these things. I unnoticingly hopped upward into the thing and began my silent prowling. Nobody would find me now. Being silent as a mouse, I slowly walked within the ducts. Now, where could I find a bite to eat?

So many odd things at once could be thought. How could the human have seen such a thing when it barely came out on the radar? He hadn't actually expected any visibility of anything.. though he was sure that the scout wouldn't have lied about such things. In this kinda moment, the intimidating captain shined and he instantly got about his military training from it's long period out of use after signing up as Captain of this ship.
"This is a civilian ship. We have innocents, women and children. The people who sign into the military know what they are getting into when they do about such missions. We'll be changing course and heading to the nearest port in an alternative direction. If they are chasing the military vessel then they will most likely leave us alone.. especially since we are a slim, speedy devil and changing course would definitely make it very hard to overtake us before reaching our destination course. Keep on the lookout for anything on our new path."
The captain, grabbing the shoulder of radar then nodded towards the last guest remaining, the teddy bear NATE and headed off in the other direction, out the door the first man left. They were left alone.
Bambi however was very spooked by the being who had just spoken to her.. earlier when it had been dancing and not paying attention to her, the guy just looked silly... but now he looked very threatening to her young mind. However, she was slightly de-sensitized to such mechanical people due to her experience in the future.. though they looked often less robotic than her current guest..
"He..hewwo.." she said, her arms nervously shaking and heading upward near her chin, like she was almost about ready to hide her eyes, taking a i~f I can't see you, you can't see me approach..~ but she managed to just barely keep them from going that high. " My name ish Bambi.." she said, obviously stammering a bit.
NATE was heading over himself after seeing them, wary of this stranger talking to his child but keeping his cool when the thought of it in comparison to the dangers of being attacked. He was trying to read any biological/mechanical data of the stranger.. but he was harder to read than some human. Still, he didn't want to believe he meant any harm. "Hello good sir, this is Bambi. If she's bothering you any I can be sure to punish her.. but she really means no harm or foul." he said, making an chuckle sound though it was slightly forced from his mechanical voicebox. No, no.. he was just trying to be friendly to keep away any violent situations.
Parents always feared the worse, it seemed.

"No not at all, friend." Alpha said to NATE in a friendly voice. He'd attracted the bear's attention, and that was what he actually wanted. "I am Alpha-Manganell. I Do enjoy knowing one such as yourself is aboard this ship."
He considered prolonging the conversation, but decided against it. He was already on edge from the way he had so rashly addressed the girl, and talking about the pirates would likely only scare her and upset her guardian. On top of that, he had to make sure that if he -somehow- ran across Rundus on board the ship (or docked) that these two were away, as the resulting battle would undoubtedly be catastrophic in terms of damage alone.
With that, he returned his face a flat expression with vague hints of kindness and stepped away from the pair. Nodding as he did. He half-bowed as well, spreading his arms wide and allowing his gears and pistons to work for a short moment, allowing motion to (hopefully) charm the little girl.
He liked kids. That was something most Inevitables never knew was children (or parents for that matter) so the chance to interact with some was a treat Alpha rarely got to enjoy.
Glaring for a moment out the viewport at the ship Rundus was piloting, Alpha spun on his heel and gripped his cape harshly, making sure his right had was covered. It looked suspicious (what about him didn't look suspicious?) but at least it didn't give off the bad vibe it would if it were revealed. With that, he strode towards the door.

[Rundas] [Into the Fray]
Rundas: "(What am I thinking? There's no way I'm gonna let these guys be caught.) This shouldn't be a problem!"
He started up his battle systems. He was going to rescue these people one way or another. With that, He rushed in.
His first target was a B-Pod. He fired a missile at it's right engine, sending it on a right veer. An ATC rammed into it, disabling both ships from the impact and putting them out of offense. He hailed the Federation ship.
Rundas: "Don't worry, I'm gonna get you outta here."
Ship: "We were on a missive to create peace with the pirates."
Runfas: "I'll take it that the negotietions were short!"

Purr... That was the sound I was making. Pretty content with where I was. The metal on the vent was cool, refreshing. Certainly felt nice on my regular warm body temperature. So, I prowled around, making barely a noise. I noticed a bit of an opening up ahead. Was it an exit? Hopefully not, an exit could be used as a entrance. But alas, it wasn't. All it was was one of those cage things that blew air out. But then it hit me, was I in a cage? Sure, I could move about, but what if this was nothing more than a glorified hamster wheel? Oh no, I wouldn't enjoy that at all. Nobody was outside, so nobody possibly could've heard my scratching at the "cage door" Help me!
I don't want to be trapped like any other housecat, that's just rude. Imprisoning me like some common half-breed you pick up at the supermarket. Well, it's been a good 3 minutes now, I'm bored. Nothing beats a well deserved cat-nap, and what better place to do it? Let's just try again later when I have more strength. Or care, for that matter. The human guys always feed the house cats, so I could break out after that.
