Jack was hurtling through a tunnel of golden light, spinning end over end, creating a sense of vertigo for him. He tried to ignore it and figure out what was going on. Eventually, he managed to right himself, although, that couldn’t be told for sure, since there was neither sky nor earth above or below him. One minute, he was in a grotto; next, he’s pulled into some portal against his will! Before he could go any further with his investigation, however, a white light appeared at the end of the passageway, signaling an end.
Jack was spit out of the trans-dimensional doorway and he fell towards bright, clear, and calm waters. He righted himself and took a diving position shortly before he hit, minimizing pain and injury. He surfaced only to be forced down again by a massive, sudden wave. He again broke the surface to see his ship and crew fully intact. One of the crewmates called out to Jack while throwing him a lifeline.
“Captain! What happened; where are we?”
Jack couldn’t speak through his coughs, so he waited until he was back on board and his fits were done before he spoke.
“I don’t know… pull into the nearest port.”
“Yes, sir!”
At that, everyone began to work.
After a little sailing, Jack and his loyal crew docked into a port, and he jumped off the ship.

"As dark a tale as was ever told, of the love of treasure and the lust for gold."
Lineback sang as he typically did while he worked. He wasn't working on anything in particular of course, but searching the ground for scraps of food or was the closest thing he got to "work" around here. It was a port after all, and at ports they were only interested in songs of pirates, sailing and such, leaving his impressive list of memorized songs stripped down to a mere two. He really liked those two, but just having two songs to go back and forth between hardly made for a good show or anything tip worthy.
Focusing again on the task at hand, Lineback checked behind an empty barrel, only to be disappointed by it's lack of anything edible, even to him. Hey, he was a Goblin, he didn't care. In fact, this place mattered nothing to him at all. It was just another place, just another town. Shrugging his shoulders, Lineback spotted a new person arriving on the docks- a foreigner if he ever saw one.
Smiling slyly, Lineback hid behind a box and contemplated what sort of supplies he had aboard his ship. He'd undoubtedly docked for food and possibly water, but even meager rations could easily last a single Goblin months on the open sea.
Pleased by this new occurence, Lineback sat and stared, unknowingly giving away his position from his rather noticeable purple hat sticking up above the cover he'd so randomly chosen, betraying him to his target.

Kaimu was sitting around, having just disconnected from Angel and her troubles with the two people. He knew he only had a few moments of peace before he got back into character.. and so he took a deep breath and stared out at a ship slowly pulling into the dock. He was sure the little monster would enjoy it.
Oh well, it was still the best one for now.
- - - - - - -
And suddenly, the pirate girl he had been started taking over control. After his own curses, he found whenever he made up a persona it started taking over him until he got rid of it. While not overly bad, it was even useful in some areas.. it was bothersome to not have complete control over the moment. It was like handing over someone else the keys to your body and sitting around behind them coaching them through it.
Good for blending in, bad for quick moments. However, this appearance had proved to be someone who was very cautious.. and while Kaimu believed that there was such a thing as over cautiousness.. it was better than someone lax.
The young form he had chosen as his body was strutting through the town with a happy bounce in her step. Like Kaimu guessed, this persona much enjoyed the sight of a new ship in port. She was a young girl, probably somewhere in her late pre-teens or early teens. She wore a huge pirate-jacket as a dress and had blond hair tied in twin braids. Of course, donned on her head was a pirate hat that she wore with pride.
Suddenly she ran up to the ship, ignoring the goblin because she ran with her extreme speed reaching levels her young body should have never been able to reach. She wanted to show off to her new guests, was pretty much the best conclusion Kaimu could get. He wasn't really "her". Though he did make her in a sense so he had some very educated guesses.
"Ahoy brethen!" she cried out to the green-haired fellow that had just shoved off. "Ya and yer tadpoles be givn' a thousand welcomes to Haven Port." she waved and stood proud. Yes, she was a shorty, and yes she didn't looking very threatening.. but she in her mind had all of the powers that Kaimu did and this had given her confidence to stand up to the masses in the world.. plus that and her adventurous personality that was made into her, this made her perfect for a life filled with adventure.
However, what she lacked was a boat. Not that she was planning on stealing "The Howling Shark" no no.. she simply was just keeping on eye on ships that came into the port and what they were doing here.. it paid to have information! "So what be da Howlin' Sharks purpose in Haven Port?"

“Haven Port, eh?” Jack said to the girl. He retreated into his mind, sorting this new addition of information. Well, that explains where we are, he thought to himself, at least partly. Just what’s happened to me and me crew?
Just then, the first mate appeared from the ship’s side banister and yelled down to his superior. “Oy, Captain!” Jack looked up in response. “Everything’s gone, sir!” Jack almost laughed in disbelief. “What? Surely, Mr. Hall, you must be joking.” Hall looked grim as he shook his head. “No, Captain, everything’s gone. All the food, all the water, all the rum-“
“Not the rum!” Jack cried.
“Aye, sir,” Hall continued, “the rum. Not even a goblin could find a nibble on this ship.”
Jack began grumbling to himself as his hands balled into fists. Through gritted teeth, he managed to continued the discussion “Anything else missing, Mr. Hall?”
“Aye, sir. Along with the supplies, most of the weapons are gone (just one cannon left), a few cannonballs, enough gunpowder to fire those few… we still have a few tools and everything in the quarters are here. It isn’t good, Captain, we have almost nothing of use.”
At that point, Jack had enough, and was letting loose a stream of curse words, must of them known only to pirates. In an effort to release said anger, he kicked a barrel, but got his foot caught in it. This angered him even more, so Jack pulled out one of his guns, only to get a rather anticlimactic click. He pulled out another one to get the same result. Apparently, the gunpowder was wet from his dip earlier.
“John!”
Mr. Hall once again appeared over the banister to be surprised by Jack’s flying guns. After catching all of them, including his grenados, blunderbusses, and other pistols, he followed Jack’s order to dry them and leave them in his quarters.
Back down on the ground, Jack managed to release his foot from the barrel, after which, he turned back to the young girl. “Apologies, lass, I’m not usually like this. But, apparently, we’re here for supplies.”

Son of a kreffing bull.
No food of any kind aboard the ship. What a rip! And here Lineback had been hoping for some big cuisine. Something nice to eat. Like a turkey. Or bread. Oh lordi would he like some bread.
Trying not to get distracted by hunger, Lineback removed a small wrapped box from his pocket. Carefully undoing the wrapped cloth, he revealed a velvet box, from which he removed his precious ocarina, his most prized possession. Innately, it was not magical, but he could do some amazing things with it....
With a soft, calm sound, Lineback produced a spell that made everyone that heard it feel suddenly at peace. He enjoyed this, his singular note. From his hiding place behind the boxes he made himself feel calm with every breath as he thought carefully about what he was to do next.

The young pirate girl was standing and about to speak further with the pirate that had just shown up... when suddenly she felt like she heard and soft note in the air. Oh, how lovely it was. It was so peaceful that she didn't even question where it was coming from. However, Kaimu himself was incapable of feeling much, and while he it effected him in a small way he still noted that it must be coming from somewhere and readied himself a little just in case he needed to take over..
"Aye.." the blonde lass said softly, obviously his persona alot more effected by the note. "Anyway I be helpin' ya out a lil?" she wasn't really doing anything, liked people in her favor and plus, this feeling inside was sure nice. Why not help out?

The sweet melody wafted from its source to surround and encompass all that were in range. Like a fireman’s hose to a fire, it cooled down Jack’s immense, but well-put rage down to a fresh, replenishing calmness. In fact, he if were to sink any deeper into his soothing serenity, he would forget all about his troubles. Instinctively, he attempted to find the source of the comforting tune. It was not very far, obviously, and as he laid eyes on it, Jack said, “Oy! And you might you be, then?”

Finishing his low tone and deciding that he was calm enough to proceed with his day, Lineback placed the ocarina in his pocket, and allowed his head to drift up to face the man high above him.
He blinked once as he stood, drawing himself to his full height of just-shy-of-four-feet, and said confidently. "Why yes good sir, it was I, Lineback who played that soothing melody." Maybe he shouldn't have layed it on so thick, but it was a bit late now.
Holding his rather noble pose, Lineback simply waited, in case the man had further compliments for him, money or, if he was really lucky, a piece of bread for a starving Goblin.

The young pirate girl was more interested in how the Goblin played the note however, and walked up to him with a smile. "Hiya good fella, my name is Eliilen and it be pleasure to meet such a talented person." turning on the adorable charm and such, she winked and stared at him bright-doe eyed. "How DID ja create such a lovely sound?"
She was calm, relaxed.. but that didn't mean she didn't want to process a bit of information and possible.. well, possessions for a later time.

After Jack had inquired the goblin, he went into a dreamlike state. Perhaps the magical tone works better on those exceptionally angry, or, maybe he was weak to them. Either way, Jack’s focusing ability was plummeting. However, his trance was soon broken by the four-foot high being’s growling stomach. Jack noticed that everyone here appeared to need something; he needed supplies, the goblin needed food (and from the sounds of it he needed it badly), and the girl, Eliilen, well, from Jack’s point of view, she needed an adventure. This actually gave him an idea…
“Listen, you two,” Jack said to Lineback and Eliilen, “I have a little proposition. It looks to me that we all need something, and we can all help each other out. With Eliilen’s knowledge of the port, Lineback’s peace-making ocarina, and my weapons…” Right then, he muttered to himself under his breath, “What I have left of them anyway…” Then he returned to his offer. “I think that we could… liberate people of their burdens, hehehe. If you two help me gather some supplies, I’ll give Lineback some food and as for you, Eliilen…” He leaned backwards acting all cool-like, “I just might have an empty cabin that needs fillin’” Jack thought that this deal would be irresistible for the both of them, giving their current situations.

Lineback would've turned down the offer cold had the Dire Goddess any way to see that he was taking it.
But she didn't.
Mimicking like he had to think about the proposition, Lineback leaned against the wall and averted his gaze from the pirate, saying coldly "Well I have a lot of things to do today, I'm quite a busy little man." He called himself a man. He knew better. "But I think I can help you." His smile was sly- he thought he was being slick, that he had tricked those around him. What a dull wit he truly had....

Kaimu inwardly smirked a bit. This pirate seemed to think he could manipulate a situation, but no one could do that as well as someone simply watching it. He felt his persona nod his head a bit, and smile again. "Sure, I love to help a friend in need!" noticeably, her accent was waning as the conversation was going on though she didn't realize this was simply because she was calm still.
Though, the Eliilen self was a bit nervous. She had till now only stolen very carefully and softly, and what this brute was expecting might be a bit more.. difficult. But a test of her strength would be important, surely!

Jack smiled softly on the outside, but slyly on the inside. He has just managed to get a goblin’s and a little girl’s help. Then again, now that he thought about it for a bit, it was stupid to be proud of that fact. It wasn’t like they had other things to do or they had everything they needed. Lineback was almost faint with hunger, and Eliilen was too hyper not too resist the call of a quest. Oh well… he has what he needs. Jack called up to his first mate yet again, commanding him to bring Jack his personal effects. Five minutes later he caught all his falling weapons. After that, he turned back to his associates.
“All right, mates, here’s what I had in mind. Lineback here can use his ocarina to make them relax, I can go in and make sure that no one else puts up a fight, and Eliilen here can liberate them of their possessions. Savvy? I was thinking that first we could find a bar… my ship needs to be restocked.”

Lineback smiled wickedly as he stretched his arms out, giving him a less than threatening look of possibly evil intent. But that mattered little- he had allies, albiet temporary ones, to aid him in his search for food. Meaning he didn't have to settle for rats and crumbs- he could take any food he wanted.
Pointing to a store that couldn't be seen due to all of the buildings between the tiny Goblin and it, Lineback spoke hurriedly and excitedly, something he was trying very hard to avoid.
"There's a bakery up on the southern side of the city. Perhaps we can start their first?"
