Ah, the sanity of walking along a serene lake bank. There was always a calming nature to it. Ai couldn't put her finger on it, but something about this felt odd. She was mere miles away from a previous battle field, so maybe it was the sudden peace. That would be strange to anyone expecting a battle at any time. A break once in a while was nice though. Although, it seemed very out of place. Maybe this was foreshadowing something. Ai hoped that "something" wasn't going to be bad news.

What a quint little lake this was. Far away enough to escape the carnage of battlefield and yet, close enough to give someone that certain feeling of serenity. Nouri for one was basking in the scenery, slowly walking across the bank of the river with his freshly caught prey. For believe it or not, he had caught a snake all by himself and he was preparing it for the time he would actually cook that bad boy by a fire. First things first though, he was quietly trying to peel off the scaly exterior of the beast as everyone knows biting into scales hurt a lot and it wasn't good for the stomach either. But as he was caught up in his work, he failed to notice the sight of a friend most familiar. It seemed Ai had some business here as well but what business it was.. perhaps he would know soon enough.

Well, it figured. Just as peace comes, something else happens. Ai noticed Nouri a few meters away from her. Whenever they met up, something always happened. Whether it was a fight, a contest, a fit of anger, case in point, it was something. She pondered to herself if she was going to meet up with him or flee.
Although, running away would be rude, they had some good...ish times. Rash decisions... She turned around to face him, walked up a bit and greeted him. "To what do I owe this pleasure, Nouri?" She spoke in a calm voice. Although, her gaze was shifting downward. She was looking at something long and slender. It was smooth and at the end was the head. Of course, she was talking about the snake he was holding, what did you expect?

Oh my, a voice that could be heard clearly from this position. Close this person had to be.. but where exactly? Just.. where? Up front obviously for as soon as he looked up, he saw a blast from the not so distant past. So the one who kicked him in that very vulnerable spot had made her appearance once again during this peaceful day. Just thinking about it made him shake with not only fear.. but anger as well. Since they were friends, he was doing his best to get over such thoughts but the road to forgiveness it seemed was an long and perilous one
"Hello there Ai! I was just walking about and..." he said with a completely forced smile. But she didn't seem to react as Ai seemed to be gazing downward towards his lower body, her eyes were without a doubt taken by the glorious sight just below his waist. "Ah.. well I see you noticed my snake. Yup, isn't it huge?" he nonchalantly remarked upon his impressive possession. "If you like, why don't we relax at the bank and catch up? and then.. he smiled a smile most.. innocent if you will. "The skin is already peeled back so if you can wait a little while, my snake will be ready for you.." Ah to be young and unaware of the double entendre of all he was saying..

"None for me, thank you though. Ai had no intention of eating a snake. With her slight distraction settled, she prayed this encounter didn't yield any problems or anything of the sort. Ai dismissed herself, and sent Nouri her goodbyes. Hoping he would be too distracted with his snake, she went off without his notice. All she could see ahead of her was the clear open view. To the sides, there were a few trees, and a reindeer? Odd place for a reindeer. She was sure she left Nouri now. But why did they keep meeting up like this? Was it fate? Was he following her? God, she'd hate being like that. With that, she ended the encounter and left the scene. Let's hope nothing switches up next time they meet, that'd just be great.
