I decided to make an RP series based on some of the missions in nintendo games. this one is the forest temple from LoZ OoT, one of my favorites.
[the twins] [all kokiri forest]
They had found their way to this little village through an enormous hollow log and across a bridge. The people here seemed to be little kids. All of them had the sense of good, except this one light..... probably some kind of spirit, was a little peeved. There was also a girl that looked a little out of place. She was about a foot taller than everyone else, with a pink dress on. The twins payed them all no mind. Maelys and Evi were after something else. something completely different.
This forest was said to be home to a temple. The way to the forest was proving a bit hard to find, though. They looked everywhere, but finally gave up and decided to ask the village leader. But who would be the leader? Maels thought, and figured the girl in the pink dress might be, as she was taller than the others. Maelys found her next to another girl with green hair. Strange color for hair, Maelys thought.
Maelys:"Excuse me? Could you please show me and my sister where the path to the forest`s temple is?"
But the girl with the green hair spoke up.
Saria:"Why would you want to go there?"
Maelys:"We came to find someone that got lost in there"
Saria:"Oh, you mean that other person? Ok. You see that house in front of the ledge?" she pointed to one of the houses. "Behind it, climb the vines, and go along there to get to the lost woods, which is where the temple is. But you cant get there if you cant hear the forest spirits. If you can, follow them. They will lead you to the temple."
Maelys:"Thanks!"
(OOC: The person they are looking for is just a little boy. They took a job in town to rescue him)IC:
They went behind the house, up the ledge, up the vines, and through the pathway to the Lost Woods.

"Hmm...behind the house, up the ledge, up the vines, and through the pathway to the Lost Woods?" Someone spoke rather loudly from the bushes. It was clearly the voice of a fellow who didn't care if anyone saw or heard. In fact, the bush didn't even cover him completely as arms were flopping about here and there. Who was it? They would know soon enough for as quickly as the two who were there before departed, a young man wearing a long yellow trench coat hopped out for all to see and ran past the green haired girl. "Thanks for the info cool haired lady!" he spoke just as he went behind the same house, leaped up into the ledge, scaled up the vines like a little chimp and scurried of into the last woods.

[Lost Woods] The woods were strange. The first place they walk was into an area with 4 paths out of it. Maelys thouht about what the green haired girl said. "But you cant get there if you cant hear the forest spirits" Maelys:"Hmm." Evi, however, was looking all around franticly. Maelys knew something was up. Evi:"Do you hear that?" Huh? Maelys:"Hear what?" Evi:" Those voices!" Voices? Wait... "...hear the forest spirits..." That`s it! Maelys:"Umm, no, but..." Evi: interupting. "They`re calling me~" She sounded as if she was in a trance. Then, all of a sudden, she took off to the right. !!! Maelys:"Evi!! WAIT UP!!" Maelys ran after her. she ran through the path, then turned left in the next area, then right, then left, then went straight through the next area, then left, then right, left, then finally after t5urning right, she stopped, staggered, and fell to her knees. up ahead was a gate. It looked like it would take a lot to get it open. But just as soon as he walked past Evi, a werewolf-like monster appeared out of the grass. Maelys quickly pulled his sword off his back. The wolf lunged, but maelys blocked with the flat of the blade. The wolf reared again, but this time, Maelys held his broadsword ready, and it glowed red, then caught on fire. When the wolf jumped, Maelys swung, sending the wolf into the gate, with so much force that the gate was severely damaged. Maelys went over, tossed the dead wolf aside, and inspected the gate. He then raised his sword above his head, and then brought it crashing down on the gate, slicing it in two. Maelys kicked in the gate halves. Heturned around to see that Evi had already gotten up. Maelys:"Well, here`s our entrance" Evi:"With style! "

"Meh, what a place this is eh?" The lost woods.. it was strange. This area had a rather unusual feel to it. His mind couldn't quite pinpoint just exactly what this feeling was but it was exactly a bad one. It was kinda comforting in a way as he didn't felt certain about what to do even if he didn't have the slightest idea where to go..
"Go Right.. Left.. Upward.. Left..Right.. Left.. and Right. You won't get lost if you follow that path."
Those had to be the forest spirits and he heard them clearly too. Being naturally sensitive to the supernatural had its perks after all it appeared although Nouri still had no idea that was what it was. No matter though! He knew the path now! "Thank you wherever you are!" he shouted, sprinting off to the right.

They began into the maze, but immediately heard a roar. They both turned right, to see a huge minotaur-like monster, spear in hand, charging at them. Maelys pulled his dagger out in a flash, and parryed the creatures thrust. It tried a horizontal slash, which Maelys jumped back away from. Maelys began an attack when suddenly they heard... ... And the creature stopped moving, as did Maelys. The creature snorted, then went back to patrolling it`s corner. Evi:"It lookms like it won`t attack now. " Maelys:"Maybe so, but... Maelys all of a sudden had a vision of stairs, leading up to a hallway of trees. He thought, sand figured that it must have been the spirits showing where to go. He knew what to do. He walked behind Evi, held her shoulders, and then they were glowing blue, then a flash, then nothing. They disappeared. [Entrance to the Forest Temple] They reppeared on the steps in front of a huge building. And sitting on a stump in front was the green haired girl, playing an ocarina, which was the sound of that music. Saria:"Ah. Hello, I wondered when you would get here."

Nouri trekked across the forest, paying little mind to the shrubbery and his surroundings. With each path he took, he came to a crossroads of sorts, each with what seemed to be a giant hollowed out log making up the path way. "Heheh.. It all looks the same.. but I trust those voices. I took a right so now I must take a left." And so, he went to the left and braved that little path, where he found another crossroad identical to the last. Interesting indeed.. but there was something strangely odd about the sensation of this area.. before, he felt many others were with him but now, he could only feel the presence of something else.. and it didn't seem very friendly..

Evi walked up to Saria, Maelys staying where he was to cooldown from his teleport.
Evi:"H-how...how did you get here before us?"
Saria: She stopped playing her ocarina. "It`s a secret!"
Evi looked up to the temple entrance. IIt was at the top of a stairway...... a broken stairway. It had a tree to the left, with a branch hanging over the top of the steps.
Evi:"Ahhh, how do we get in!?"
Saria:"Hmm, looks like you`ll have to climb the tree."
Maelys:"I have an idea, but i need to regain my strength, first."

Now that he was watching his surroundings more carefully, he noticed something critical. The voices he heard weren't exactly voices now where they? It seemed to be music to honest but why did he notice it just now and not when he first came? Perhaps it was because of the fact he wasn't paying his thoughts any mind and in doing so, it made his third eye more open then usual.. not that he knew that himself. Its like he had time to think about for something leaped out at him from his right side and slashed at him, inflicting a rather deep scratch on right on his arm. Nouri yelped in pain and jumped back to get better look at his foe, only to see a wolf like creature snarling right back at him.
Things certainly weren't going well now were they?

All of a sudden, Evi heard a howl. She thought back to the wolf Maelys killed. But they killed it. It couldn`t still be alive. She got up and ran back to the entrance, instead of going through the maze she climbed a ladder she had just noticed. She jumped accross the gaps till she reached the edge at the entrance and froze. There was a man, fighting the very wolf she had seen dead.
Evi:"HEEEEEEEEEEEYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!"
Both man and wolf looked up in surprise at the newcomer. She then held out her hand, and several purple orbs shot out at the wolf, stunning it, for not expecting an attack. Then immediately the man rushed towards the wolf and brought his left arm across its neck, and for a second Evi thought she saw blood. Then the man looked back at her.
Man:"Why thanks and hello there! But, I must ask. What is a young girl like you doing in a strange forest like this?"
Evi"Huh? Oh! Me and my brother are here searching for the forest temple, and we just found it!"
Man:"Ah, what a coincidence. That is where I am headed. May I accompany you? There is strength in numbers, after all."
Evi:"Oh, sure!"
The man walked up to the wall. He then walked over to the gateway. He looked up, then crouched, and jumped to one side of the opening, jumped to the other, then jumped up to the top. He looked over to Evi and then she began running back over to the temple entrance. The man followed.
When they got back, Maelys was nowhre in sight. The girl was still on the stump, now playing a different song. (Minuet of Forest) The man looked up at the entrance, and Maelys appeared at the top of the steps.
Evi:"Howed you get up there?"
Maelys simply pointed to the tree. There were notches placed sequentally, as if they were handholds.
Maelys:"Climb, and let`s go!"
Maelys noticed the other man.
Maelys:"And who are you?"
Nouri:"Ah, you must be the lasses brother. My name is Nouri Aal Sephur. Nice to meet you."
Maelys:"Name`s Hexra."
He shot Evi a look of seriousness.
Evi:"Umm..... I`m Sevii."
(these are their real names, check their apps)
Nouri:"Well, hello, Hexra and Sevii."
Maelys:"Now let`s hurry."
Nouri and Evi climbed the tree, thanks to the handholds. Then they all entered the temple.....
Temple song.
They walked in to a wide open room which had a door at the other end and a tree on each side.
Maelys clapped his hands together.
Maelys:"Well, Let`s get started."
Just as he said that, 2 wolves appeared.....

More of those beasts again..? Hmph.. just looking at the two of them made the claw marks upon his arm throb and writhe with pain. This time, he wouldn't even give that giant hound a chance to cry out with its last breath. he leaped out immediately, his left hand springing up to his chest. A feral howl resonated throughout the air and one of the beasts had bolted forward with its claws at the ready.. aiming to end the bandits life if he let his guard down.
Not this time.
Sadly, the werewolf wouldn't get a chance to relish in his blood. As quickly as he came, Nouri had turned his palm towards his foe, his blade once again jutting out from the sleeve with its cutting edge poised for a kill. He swiped his arm horizontally in front of him, slicing into the beast's skin. The wolf cried out in pain and its blood had sprayed directly upon Nouri's chest. Once that motion was done, Nouri tackled it to the ground and thrust his knife directly into its eye, piercing through it and killing his adversity straight out. A swift victory but a rather grim one at that. That too.. was the nature of combat.

Maelys charged the other wolf, swing at a horizontal angle, chopping its arms off as it tried to block. Then he swung back around, cutting it`s head clear off. Luckily for Evi, she was running over to the wall, where she noticed some vines. She jumped and grabbed the vines and began climbing. She reached the top and noticed a chest on the tree on the other side of the room. She ran over to it, jumped, and barely missed the other branch. She managed to catch it with her hands, and used her momentum to swing around the branch, landing on top. She opened the chest, but instead of being something you would expect in a treasure chest, she found an old key. Maelys Walked over to the door and looked at Nouri.
Maelys:"Nouri, stay with Sevii, ok?"
With that, he opened the door and proceeded through. He was in a hallway, which seemed normal, except for the spider, which was as big as him, hanging from the celing. He crept closer, and it dropped down to hang lower. Then, for some reason which surprised Maelys, It spun around, exposing it`s belly. So he stabbed, and it fell to the floor. He smirked, and headed through the next door into a room with a sort of tiny gazebo in the center, and four torches around it.

Isn't it a bit odd to suddenly leave your sister with a male you had just met a few moments ago? Perhaps.. but Nouri wasn't really that concerned. For as he stood up from the wolf, blood splattered all over his face and clothing, on edge, and still caught up within the adrenaline rush, he was more flustered at the fact that he was being given orders. Who did this guy thing he was? Heading into the fray all alone and leaving his sisters care to him. What could he do at this stage? He looked over his shoulder, looking for Sevil just before he called out to her "Where are you Sevil?"

Evi dropped down from the branch, crouching as she landed.
Evi:"Right here. Now let`s hurry, cuz if he thinks he can leave me behind just because I`m not as strong, then he`s probably crazy right now."
Evi ran to the door, went through, and noticed the spider. She froze stiff.

"Right.." Of course, just leave the woman with him to deal with! That was an excellent course of action.. and he could only respond in the most appropriate manner. What was that? Return his sister right into his arms. After flinging his left hand out towards his left side to rid his blade of the blood which had stained it, he retracted it back into his sheave and casually stepped over his fallen enemy and past the temple doors where he noticed Sevil was frozen in what seemed to be fear. At least he was leaving a path to follow.. though it was a pretty grim one. But ah well. He could worry about that later. Without so much of a word, he placed his hand on her shoulder and attempted to walk her past the spiders corpse. Just before he stepped over, he looked directly over at her, his face still covered in the fresh blood from not so long ago. "Cmon.. you wanna catch up with that dingbat of a brother don't cha?!? he spoke, flailing his arms as he said so.

[Maelys] [3rd floor, room before the west twisted hallway]
Goddamn skulls. Maelys couldn`t help but wonder why these skulls had wings, but he also wondered why his attacks were doing nothing to them. He swung to the left at one, hitting it, but it bounced away. The other one immediately came at him from his left, and he kept his blade heading left and brought it up n a block. When the skull rammed into his swrd, it bounced away, but lost it`s fire. Maelys decided to test if the fire was their defense, and swung horizontally at the skull, hitting it, causing it to disappear in a fire. He repeated the process with the other skull. Now to figure out the eye above the door...
[Evi, Nouri] [central room]
Evi came to her senses, and they went through the other door. This room was much bigger, and had four unlit torches in the center. She looked around, and noticed there were five other doors. The north-East one was locked, the East one was on a balcony, which left the doors to the West, North-West, and North. She looked at Nouri.
Evi:"Which way do you think we should go?"
(OOC: north leads to a battle with 2 stalfos where you earn the map, the big skeletons. north-west leads to another key. west follows Maelys)
