Birth Place: unclear
Appearance:
"Yeah I'm a bard big whoop wanna fight about it?"
Personality: Ya ever seen a small dog take on a big dog? Or bark at it a bunch just to get the stuffing beat out of it by a much bigger dog? Lineback is something like that. He thinks he's hot sh*t, see? He can't tell he's less than four feet with just enough weight to make a guy grunt when he throws 'em. Not the best of the best, got me? But off he goes, all the time, like he's got somethin ta prove. What a simpleton, ya know? But I'll tell ya a secret... they say he's got a soft side, ya? No one 'round 'ere ever saw it, but tha townsfolk who go an feed 'em swear up an' down e has one. I dunno what to think about it mahself, but hey, ya never know, right?
History: Wat? Lineback? I think you need to find someone else ta tell you that story. Unless yer up for buying me 'nother round here. Yes, one more will do-
Lineback is a diminutive little bugger from the outer planes that belong to the Dire Goddess Svehrtian. Yar I know that's a mouthful but you'd best keep up wit me or I'll leave ya in mah dust on this one 'cause I ain't slowin down.
Dey say Linebeck was a military man, ergh; a military Goblin once upon a time. I know, he don' show it. Idda never pegged em for a military ma--goblin, but sure enough, he is. Who'da thought, right?
Anyway, they say he served the Dire Goddess, and at the very least that much has been backed up. Now the Dire Goddess is a big deal where they come from. Ya see they're from another plane of existence all together- and over there, the Goddess is tha ruler of... well, jus' about everthin. Anyway, every once in a while she must pay an homage to tha Master Hand... yeah, the big hand himself. Well, she fought back against him, raisin her armies and bustin through walls and such. So anyway all is goin well, right? Well then suddenly the Master Hand himself comes in and says "BITCH I MADE YOU." and un-makes her entire army, leavin just herself and her personal advisers. Now tha Hand wasn't content with jus leaven her like that, all lonely, so they un-made her too!
But as an added punishment, the ol' hand un made her entire world! Tha 'ole thin, jus gone in an instant. Like that! Jeez those hands frighten me. Anyway, that Hand goes an banishes the few remaining members of her court to here, the smash world! I know! Of all places, right? Why here? Guess he favors this place, but I can' say fer certain.
Anyway the 'igher court breaks up immediately, leavin only lil' ol' Lineback, who has 'is dirty little boxin-gloved hands on one a the Goddess' smaller ships. A little thing, like a two-person boat at best. So 'e decided to sail about in it! I know, what a weirdo!
Now 'ere is where things get a bit iffy. I can' tell ya if this nex part is true or not, but I tell ya, if it iz then I got a 'ole new respect fer tha little guy. They say 'es got a mirror down in that ship, an' in it's reflection is tha Dire Goddess! An they say 'es trying tah find a way to restore her body. Ain't that sad? Imeen there's no way, right? You been unmade, ya don come back, right? Well who knows, e may jus find one, huh?
Transportation:
A boat that is controlled by the spirit of the Dire Goddess. She can make it perform basic functions of the ship (setting the sails and all that) but has no further protection of any kind and thus relies on Lineback for protection. Only Lineback can hear the Dire Goddess' speaking.
Requested World Preference: Rawr.
II. Battle Information
A. Overview
Current Level: 1
Current Stats: 15
Physical Prowess 1
Magical Talent 8
Weapon Handling 4
Luck 2
Total Currency:
Strengths: Lineback's main strength is his courage- he won't be frightened by anything you do or say to him. In fact, intimidation often makes him want to fight you even more. On top of this, his emotion manipulating powers and his sneaking prowess make him something of a surprise no matter who or what take him on.
Weaknesses: Being a Goblin, Lineback is quite frail in the long run. His clawed hands (usually covered by boxing gloves so he fits in) make it difficult to handle weaponry and even his instruments, causing him to fumble them quite often.
Combatant Type: Bard/swashbuckler/spymaster
Fighting Style: Lineback loooooves to be on the front lines of any assault, wailing away at his opponents with anything he can get his hands on, but he can hardly be said to hold his own in battle, so it's better for him to be in the back.

In many cases, it is much easier to simply do it rather than simply deal with the nagging.
Stat's Required to Use: 4 MAG for every syllable used in the command.

Detailed Description: Lineback whips out a new instrument, given to him by the smashball: a lute. With this, he multiplies himself once for every instrument he carries (including the lute) and any damage done to the instruments are repaired. Each of the Linebacks breaks out into a chaotic song, varying in tone, speed, and wholly unorganized. The clashing powers of the instruments create a temporal disturbance, which gathers above them in a glowing white ball. Any who approach the band are shocked (but not hurt) by a bolt of lightning. Everyone in earshot becomes confused and has no idea how to feel about anything- easy choices may seem like life-altering ones, or simple puzzles may become mind-numbing predicaments. When the smash begins to die down, the temporal disturbance begins to fire four lasers down at an angle, landing just by the outermost members of the band and beginning to circle. It will complete two full circles before fading away with the lute, returning the Lineback that held it to the one and only "proper" Lineback.
