Chapter 6: Epilogue

Ah yes, When we last left our young rogue in chapter five, he was faced at a crossroads of sorts in his little quest to infiltrate this odd little fortress suspended above the ground. The typical fork in the road scenario every adventurer seemed to face at some point in time. At his left side was door number one, an ordinary door with no special features. Oh but door number two.. that was one special door alright and a damn good looker too! Well, not really to be honest. It looked just as plain as the other one but that was beside the fact. The question was which one would he pick?

"Ah **** it. Know what, The one on the left is looking quite best." And with a light hearted chuckle and that weird living blue ball tucked under his right shoulder, he pushed open the doors advanced forward and into the unknown. Sadly though, the unknown wasn't quite extraordinary. In fact, it appeared he had stumbled into a giant hall of sorts. Few places to hide himself and only real way to go and that was forward and down the hall.

In fact, when he looked back, the doors he had spent so much time deciding to choose from were connected to this very room! But it seemed luck was on his side. No one was around to find him and no one even had the slightest idea he was even in the complex. However, that would soon change as a certain young girl and her petite companion were making their way right to the room and he was completely unaware that she was on her way.

Epsilon ran as fast as he could his shoes looked like they were beginning to burn because of his speed heh! It seemed like this place will prove to be difficult for Epsilon after all. Epsilon didn't think or say anything at all he just burst out his wings from his shoulder blades and ascended off the ground his legs came together and stayed in that position he flew faster than he could run with his arms placed to his sides Epsilon looked up because he spotted something in the right side of his eye it seemed to be a fortress that was suspended above the ground his eyes widen, and became filled with excitement, and curiosity.




But... it seemed to be far away however that did not seem to bother him Epsilon grinned and said to himself with Joy. "Ha ha!" he flew off toward this unknown fortress completely focused on getting to the unknown fortress.

As Abdol stood infront of a large glowing green digital map, his three trustworthy allies Reynal, Dark Genesis, and Alica came and stood in the other side of the digital map. "Ah glad you three could come, I have something very important I would like to share", Abdol told the three. He continued, "While you were away I sent my newly created combat robots to track down Genesis and his allies....."



"I had alot of time on my hands and added very interesting features into these combat robots....anyways they managed to capture the other three Oakley, Jonas, and Abdol, but somehow Genesis was nowhere to be found." Dark Genesis banged his fist on a nearby table and yelled, "Enough with the pathetic robots, let me go after him then." Abdol turned to Dark Genesis and replied, "......Yes, do go and retrieve your body back Dark Genesis." Dark Genesis smirked and lefted out of the area."Should we go as well?", Reynal asked.

Abdol asnwered, "...No, I have a special task for you two." Reynal folded his arms and answered,"Hmmm, okay what is it?" Abdol suddenly snapped his fingers as the glowing digital map turned into an image of a female that looked like this.......



Abdol started,"This child, Ursula Breer may look young, but she possess many brutal abilities that can be put to good use for our rebellion, I need you two to retrieve her for me....."
As he lifted up his glasses, an evil stare was showing through Abdol's black glasses and he finished by saying..."No matter what it takes."

MM was shocked. Snicket was gone. "You don't know until it's gone..." he said, a tear escaping from his eye. "Yet, nobody travels on forever. Soon, there is nothing to learn," MM assumed. "The end was near for him since the war began."

Haylee saw him from the crown. He sat alone at the bar. "You know, this is a party," she said, "Parties have people."

"I know," MM said. "Just there's nothing to celebrate. People don't always realize that there might be a balance problem now."

"Balance? Balance of what?" Haylee asked.

"Balance of good and evil," Luca walked in. "Crehavos took a large part of Evil's power. Now Good is more powerful than evil."

"Isn't that good?" Necro called from the 2nd flight of stairs.

"No, because no side should trump the other," Rai called from the 5th flight of stairs.

"Okay..." Haylee skeptically said. "So what if one side becomes too strong?"

"Then--"

"No enough," Luca snapped, cutting MM off. "The less you know, the better."

"But--"

"ENOUGH!" Luca snapped again. Haylee's head dropped; she stared at the ground.

"You're right, this is a party. Let's go." MM took the others into the crowd. MM was mingling among the crowd when he froze and dropped.

[Cell]

“And here I thought we were passed all pretensions,” muttered the vile Nemeck, his phantasmal body drifting carelessly in the emptiness. Crehavos did not speak, ignoring the apparition entirely as if it were never even there; probably waiting for it to vanish on its’ own. Nonchalantly, Nemeck reached out, placing his decayed-looking hand to wrap around the hilt of his exiled blade, his link to this realm, the only thing he was able to seemingly touch. Taking cue from Crehavos’ mood, he continued, “In a manner of speaking, yes, I am a figure of your imagination—”

“Your presence here is undesired.” Crehavos interrupted at last, voice as lifeless as the place it resided.

Nemeck was blank for a moment, his dead eyes on the motionless demon, but he broke out into a harsh laugh that resonated throughout the darkness. “I imagine it is,” he said, amused. “Show me the door and I’ll be on my way.”

Just then, the sword had picked itself up, away from Nemeck’s icy grasp. It innocently shifted and swayed in the air, but no sooner did it turn on its master, piercing where his heart would be—that is, if he were actually there.

“Use that,” said Crehavos, a hint of bitterness sourly coating each word.

“Ah, there’s that tiny shred of emotion you never managed to tear from your heart,” the lance said, leaving the blade wedged in his ethereal body.

The fallen tyrant repositioned himself to face this overall unpleasant bother, not restraining any look of disgust that may find its way onto his own face. “Wasteful to linger here . . . or at least it should be for you.” Crehavos paused, his eyes narrowing into a spiteful glare. “Why are you here? Is it that you were purely bored to tears when you figured haunting me sounded just so inconceivably comical? Or is it that you wish to remind me of my failures, to beat the remembrance of it all into my skull?

“Whichever it may be, Nemeck, I am not interested.”

“No . . . I do not seek your torment,” he answered softly. “No . . . you have not failed. It took banishment to this land of nothingness, but you have accepted yourself as you are, not as you wish to be.” Nemeck raised his hand, motioning to the vacant surroundings that stretched on eternally. “The mind is its own place; of and in itself, can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.

“This is but a blank canvas. Perhaps you could elect to spend your time productively.” Nemeck’s words were very honest and true, he knew such a fate as this must be a dreadful one; especially for one akin to Crehavos’ nature. And yet, he said nothing, appearing to be completely inert to the whole conversation. Impassively, Nemeck asked, “Do you doubt me?”

Crehavos’ features softened slightly, a very real sorrow more present than anything the lance had seen in the past. When he spoke, though, the emotion was ruined by his tone that only screamed hatred and resentment to his whole damnation, “How I spend eternity in nothingness is irrelevant. Whether I seek to create, or spend my days in silence, will make itself known.” He advanced, right up to only inches from Nemeck, looking up into his deadened, white stare.

“But . . .” his voice quieted, to a menacing undertone, “bear this in mind. Even as I slumber here, chaos remains, and will continue so long as that world remains flawed.”

“Now leave,” he hissed. “May you rot along with the rest.”

Crehavos crudely turned, his cloak whipping at Nemeck as he floated steadily away into the darkness of no morrow. The phantom was left alone, expressionless and quiet.

“Perhaps this nihilistic existence will be an improvement. Farewell, Crehavos.” Ghost-like, he dissolved, into thousands of tiny black particles, vanishing while his sword remained in his wake.

In the distance, Crehavos drifted, gaze returned to an imaginary sky. Never had he felt more alone . . . and he wasn’t sure in the slightest . . . if he liked it.

“Farewell . . . indeed.”
