[Dobs, Mariella, Samus, Dr. Vin]
{SIE HQ Tower, Zebes}
((OOC: Seriously, play the music. I worked really hard to get almost everything in the following lengthy post written to correspond with the music. So, please, play the music. The times in parentheses, are where you
should be in the music at that point in the post. And now….here’s the actual post, READ IT >.<))
youtube.com/watch?v=-gMbMyo7fc8The small party saw that their target had fled to the top of the HQ, which was about 100 stories up. They gazed upon the enormous tower in its entirety in awe. A large crack of thunder could be heard. Clouds gathered around the spiked tower and it began to rain with the intensity of a monsoon. The rain fell on the three heroes who, despite the change in weather, remained focused on their target. Finally, Dobs withdrew his sword and transported them to the peak of the massive tower. There stood the cowardice Dr. Vin, quivering in fear for his own life. It appeared that he was working on some sort of machine… a portal of sorts.
Dobs extended Saint’s sword to the cruel doctor’s neck and said, “You’re time is up. I know what you have been doing to my friend. Where is he?”
The doctor looked startled, “G…G…Geo? Ora and the others took him to Orti for safe-keeping. They have left me behind. I don-”
“Get him back.” Mariella interjected. “I know what this is. You’re trying to create a portal so you can flee the battle and leave your people to fall. You disgust me.”
“It…its not…Get him back you say?” Vin inquired, “I…I suppose I could. But you would have to promise to let me go free afterwards.”
Dobs responded, “Get him back here, and I promise I will get you off of the god forsaken planet safe and sound.”
Dr. Vin nodded in understanding. He turned back to the machine that he was previously doing work on when a shrill screech was heard. Samus walked over the edge of the tower and watched as a huge group of primids began scaling the massive structure to reach them and the doctor. Geo clones also began sprouting wings and flying up towards the peak of the tower where the party stood.
The bounty hunter called over to her friends, “You may want to take a look at this… We are about to have company… a
lot of company.”
Mariella ran over to the edge as Dobs continued to watch over Dr. Vin.
Dobs called over, “Can you two handle it? Or do you need my help?”
“No! Not for now, I think we can take them,” Mariella shouted back.
Samus added, “Wow, my arm cannon is sure going to get a work out.”
The hunter’s words were completely accurate. She switched to plasma beam and literally began to light up the approaching clones and primids. They lit on fire as they fell, lighting several more primids throughout the descent. Mariella noticed how effective this was and began to light her arrows on fire as she shot at the climbing primids. They also took out their own comrades during their plunge.
This strategy appeared to be working well for quite some time. However, the two women could not cover the entire circumference of the massive tower. Finally, Mariella shouted out for help. “DDOOOOBBBSSS!!!! ((OOC:haha, mew2mast3r)) Get your butt over here! We can’t hold them off for much longer!”
Dobs shouted back, “I’m coming!” Then he turned to Dr. Vin, sword at his throat, “You! Don’t do anything….stupid.”
The mad scientist gave Dobs a twisted smile and went back to his work. The iron clad hunter ran to aid his comrades at the edge of the tower. He began throwing shurikans at such a rapid pace that his hands appeared as simply a blur. He barely took the time to aim his rapid-fire ninja stars, but many of them appeared to be hitting the target, so he did not bother.
As the three bounty hunters fended off the forthcoming army, the doctor sparked an idea.
If I let Geo out, he will literally kill me. However, I could stand a chance if I … Yes! Yes, that will do! He began working furiously on the machine before him. He connected wire to wire, screwed in various bolts, and pulled quite a few levers. Lights began to light up, gears began spinning, and smoke began rising out of the machine. The doctor shouted out triumphantly, “I’ve done It!”
Dobs yelled to the Dr. Vin, “Good! Now find Geo!” The army was only a few yards away from the feet of the three heroes at this point, and Geo’s arrival would be of great service.
The Doctor shouted back, “Yes, yes, of course! Just give me a minute to find his coordinates to bring him back…”
“You may not have a minute, but we’ll have to try.!”
Dr. Vin pulled up a keyboard and began to type rapidly various symbols and words that none on the roof could read. An image began to appear on the portal’s display screen, showing what was to be transported. An image of a person began forming. It appeared to be Geo. But as the picture grew in detail, it was revealed that the figure being transported was a woman. This woman had vibrant orange hair and green skin, as well as a look of vengeance upon her face. This woman was Xzana.
Dr. Vin put on the same twisted smile that he had given Dobs just as he left. He had never felt so accomplished as he did when he entered the command to bring back the deranged controller of nature.
A great white light shot out from the tower and into the storm clouds above. Flashes of lightning were shooting out of the beam. The clouds above swirled around the beam as they were pulled towards it. All of the clones and primids stopped in their assault to observe this marvel. At the base of the beam on the roof, a certain red-headed green-skinned figure stepped out with a manic smile.
(4:55 in the music if you aren’t already there)
As soon as Xzana stepped out of the portal, the beam vanished with a large boom and the clouds reverted back to their regular positions. She walked over to Dr. Vin and put her hand on his shoulder.
“Why thank you, Vin. I would have been stuck in that God Forsaken Dimension forever had it not been for your help.”
Vin gave his patented sinister smile yet again.
Dobs yelled, “Vin you lying bastard! Send her back!”
Dr. Vin replied, “I’m sorry, I am disinclined to acquiesce your request.” He smiled again, “Means no.”
Xzana began to speak, “Isn’t this a nice little reunion, Sammy, Dobby, and of course the always delightful Mariella. HA! I have spent my time in solitude training for this moment. The moment where I could finally kill you all! Do you have any last words before you go?”
Suddenly, there was an explosion at the sinister duo’s feet and they began falling from the tower. Samus stood and blew the smoke from the tip of her arm cannon, “If you’re going to kill someone, just kill them. Don’t stand there talking about it,” her super missile had knocked the villains off of the tower and bided the three SSS members some time.
Mariella laughed in happiness, “Nice job, but I know that they are coming back…I can feel it.”
Dobs stated, “In the mean time, we have another problem.”
In the excitement of Xzana’s return, the trio had forgot about the primids and clones scaling the wall… as they looked around them in all direction, a multitude of primids and clones were climbing over the wall and closing in on the hunters. Dobs, Mariella, and Samus stood back to back to back in preparation for the on-coming swarm.
Samus switched her arm cannon to power beam, for she would need
extremely rapid fire to keep the enemies at bay. Mariella put her bow down and withdrew the two pink beam swords she had been practicing using with the help of Dobs. Dobs but Saint’s heavy, slow moving sword down and withdrew his speedy weapons of choice, The Aberithan Sais of War.
The three began fighting in an outwards direction, pushing the primids back very gradually. However, the further from the center of the tower they moved, the harder it became to maintain their ground. Geo clones flying overhead were taken down by Samus, as primids on foot were thrust from the tower by either Dobs or Mariella.
Mariella was eventually stuck down by a rather large fire primid. Dobs noticed immediately and began to fight his way to her. He lifted her by the hands and swung her around himself in a circle as she kicked at all surrounding primids and clones. After a few seconds of this, Dobs threw his comrade upwards as she withdrew the beams of her swords and spun, taking out several more primids.
(6:35)
The two fought side by side, moving beautifully across the battlefield. No primid stood a chance against the two while they were so deeply in sync. When the fighters were in a relatively primid-free space, Dobs ceased battle, and gazed into Mariella’s blue-green eyes. She turned towards him.
“Dobs? Dobs, what’s wrong?” she inquired.
“Mariella, will you marry me?”
Mariella responded, rather shocked by the notion “I don’t think now is the best time!”
“Now’s as good a time as ever!”
Mariella laughed to herself, “Samus!!”
(7:20)
Samus was atop a rock structure shooting down primids at her feet, “Yes!?”
“You’re captain of a ship! Marry us!” Mariella shouted.
Samus was a bit confused but obliged to the request. “Alright, then!”
Samus took off her helmet and began to shout into the relentlessly stormy sky, “Dearly beloved! We are gathered here today to join these two young people in the sacrament of holy matrimony!”
Samus shot three primids in the face as Dobs and Mariella spun around one another to decapitate a primid and three clones who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
“Do you Dobs, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife? In sickness and in health. In life or death-”
Mariella interjected, “Death being the more likely!”
Samus continued, “Until death do you part?”
Dobs shouted into the sky, “I do!” He stabbed yet another primid in the heart with his sai.
“And do you Mariella.” She stopped to shoot down an incoming clone. “Take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband? In sickness and in health, until death do you part?”
“I do!” She jumped up and span, knocking a primid over the edge.
The battle raged on for several minutes, Samus was not able to get a word in edgewise over the shrieks and screams of the SIE. She shot her grapple at a primid, and spun rapidly, taking out many others in the process. She finally disengaged the beam, sending the initial primid attached to its end, flying into a flock of clones that were flying in for battle. The area around Samus was finally clearing up…
The two hunters began to spin and fend off primid by primid. They looked into each other’s eyes and slowly leaned forwards. However, they were ultimately interrupted by particularly protrusive primid ((Yay alliteration!
)). Dobs threw Mariella into the air yet again and she fired several shots with her bow from the new vantage point in the air. When she landed, Samus began to speak, or scream, yet again.
“By the power invested in me, I hereby pronounce you-” Samus falls to the ground after a rather nasty clone flew into her. “OH! Kiss! ... Just Kiss!” Samus sounded rather defeated at this point, the primids were relentless.
(9:00)
The two young bounty hunters then finally embraced each other in a long, passionate kiss. Neither seemed to notice the massive amounts of death and destruction going on around them at this point. All they could think about was each other, and how happy they were. They finally understood each other, at this, the most desperate of times. They were complete.
However, this surreal sense did not last for long... Xzana had finally made her way back to the top of the tower. She did not waste her time with words now. She let out a shrill shriek filled with rage and power. Then she turned her attention towards the newly-married Dobs. She lifted the earth beneath her feet and used it to propel herself towards the iron-clad bounty hunter.
Dobs very narrowly avoided death when he withdrew his sais in the knick of time. He crossed them in front of his face, where Xzana attacked and threw her to the side slightly. This battle would not end quickly. Xzana raised up the section of the tower where she and Dobs stood. This battle would take place hundreds of feet above Samus, Mariella, the primids, and clones.
Xzana withdrew two hook-like blades and began to slash at Dobs rapidly. Dobs easily matched her speed with his sais. He kept a determined look on his face as the twisted women continued to slash away.
Eventually, Xzana raised her had towards the stormy sky and a lightning bolt struck it. She held the pure blue energy in her hands and laughed. “HAHAHA! Face it boy! You have always been doomed to fail. You can never match the power I have, you can NEVER DEFEAT ME!”
With that, the demonic woman shot the blast straight towards Dobs. He crossed his sais again, pushed forwards, and sent the bolt back at Xzana. Shocked by this, she swung her long-nailed hand at the bolt and pushed it faster back at Dobs. (Think any fight with Ganondorf) This process continued until Dobs finally landed the final blow on his foe.
She was shocked to find that her own attack had been used against her. She stood, eyes wide, body shaking, and sparks flying from her in every direction. Dobs looked upon his enemy with a look of disgust. She gathered enough strength to speak one last phrase, “Rot in hell with your little girl.”
Dobs pulled his sais back and stabbed her in the chest rapidly and repeatedly. Xzana’s eyes rolled into the back of her head and she fell backwards off of her self-made tower. “Good Riddance.” As the villain plummeted, se caught glimpse of Samus and Mariella. With the last of her strength, she pulled the earth beneath Mariella and launched her from the tower. Mariella began falling beside Xzana.
Xzana grabbed hold of Mariella, hoping to use her to cushion the blow of impact. She would not survive this fall again…not in her condition. Mariella would have none of this, she kicked off of the alien women, sending her towards the ground faster still and did a graceful back flip. Both women landed hard on the ground.
Xzana was dead. Her body lay motionless on the hard ground… Mariella could not move…
