Ok I tried making another sig and now a userbar. I tried to figure out what C4Ds were but I'm not sure where to get them and how to use them, so please don't kill me >__< Please critique composition!

I love the userbar! it's perfect Now for the Sig, it's good and with work I'm pretty sure you will be making some awesome sigs I personally like fractal C4Ds a little more than normal C4Ds but that just a personally preference. There's different kinds of C4Ds and you need to learn the difference between them so you can use the one that fits your sig or idea the best.

also Kune what I found out from my other sig is that the only text that needs to be used is Times New Roman. unless your going for fancy. I always thought that nicer texts should be used but they told me no. if you want to see the other site then here it is caws.ws/forum/index.php?showforum=171and those userbars are very well done. how did you make those?

I just used a 350x20 area.
First I made a 6x6 piece and used the pencil tool to make a diagonal from the bottom left to the top right and saved it as a pattern. Then, I set my background color and made another layer for the lines. I pasted the pattern at 15% opacity and then just added pics and text from then on.
For the glossy appearance on top (like the orange one in my sig), I first finished everything else except for the gloss and merged the layers. Then I hit copied the layer and hit Ctrl+A, Ctrl+X, and Ctrl+V to make a floating layer. I used the elliptical tool to overlay the top portion of the bar and then used the bucket at 255.0 threshold and filled the portion of the ellipse that covers the bar. Then I just selected the floating layer and set it's opacity to 20%.
