CHAPTER 14:mission Dragonstar
Part 1:the graveyard walk
Falco zipped up his new jacket he had gotten from Ridley,the
slightly nerdy dragonstar tech guru.He liked the feel,and his old
jacket was plenty beaten up from his past battles.Tetra
materialized in front of him.
"Hi,Falco"said Tetra"Your new here , so I thought I'd fill
you in on the rules.Come,let's take a walk."
The two walked out into the james Mcloud memorial cemet
ery,soon after,The pirate princess began to speak.
"Around here,there are three rules"began Tetra"1.always
respect your commanding officer.2.,Never disobey a direct order.
and finally..always respect the dead."
On that solemn note,Falco looked around and saw the
rows upon upon rows of elaborate tombs and mausoleums.All aro
und him,The former S.B.I ace saw names he recognized from so
many legends.
Here was the final resting place of the heroic Link,the hero
of time who had saved the entire Smashiverse.Here was the famo
us Sonic the hedgehog,who had triumphed over overwhelming od
ds on the faraway planet Mobius.Here,even Tuff,the boy who Falc
o had so gleefully slaughtered,found eternal peace.
And out of the corner of Falco's eye, he saw a new burial
taking place.The silent form of the plumber Mario was being lower
ed into the endless abyss.Luigi,Toad,Toadett,Toadsworth.All were
there,mourning thier fallen comrade.somehow,Falco felt he had a
place among the group,but he made no move toward the funeral.
"Enough sightseeing" said Tetra as the two walked back
into the dragonstar hangar.the pirate captain then left leaving
Falco alone in the room,staring out at the legions of dead heroes
who would never save anything again.

Blue Hound stared though the cemetery hedges at Falco.soon
he would strike and all of Dragonstar would fear him.

part 2:Toadett tragedy
Falco and Toad were preparing for thier first mission in the briefi
ng room.Falco was stocking up on loaded guns,and Toad seemed
to be coninuosly tying and untying his shoe.It was a nervous habi
t he had.Toadsworth and Toadett had already gone ahead of the
m.Tetra walked through the open briefing room door to brief the
two.
"We have detected an abnormal prescence on our territory"be
gan the pirate"It's your job to find it.go on.shoo!"
"I was expecting a better briefing"said Toad,out of
Tetra's hearing range"that could've been ALOT better."
"just be thankful that Tetra briefs us at all"said Falco,gratef
ul for what he got"I talked to some of the older members,and the
y said that they used to never know what they were supposed to
do"and with that,Falco and Toad arrived with thier teammates.
All were accounted for.thier was Toadett,Toadsworth and..
Luigi?!
"LUIGI!"said Falco"YOUR SUPPOSED TA BE IN BED!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your Gonna hurt yerself!"
"Calm down my young friend"said the wizened Toadsworth
"Luigi is all better,and he wanted to help."
"I guess I overreacted..."said Falco,a hint of shame in his voice.he had no confidence in the green plumber.
Before anyone could say anything else,Toadett felt something brush her back.she looked behind her,all she saw was
a hedge.when she turned back around,she saw something far
more frightening.
In front of her a light blue,dog-shaped form leaped from t
he shadows,batting the young Toad aside like a cotton ball.
"EEEKK!"screamed the startled Toad.
Luigi,Falco,Toad,and Toadsworth turned around,almost in unison and saw the carnage.
Falco dived in to save the struggling Toadett,but the blue
hound would not heed in its tearing apart of helpless Toadett's
body.
Finally,Falco was able to push the creature aside,but it's damag
e had been done.Toadett gasped and the life left her tiny form.
The next moment was a blur to Falco.He leaped toward Blue
Hound,tears in his eyes and rage in his fists,not thinking,only
doing.He need not speak,as his actions spoke enough.
When the beast finally fell to the ground,it's mask fell off,
revealing the bloodied face of a Lucario,one of the rarest pokemo
n.Falco paid no attention.
Toadsworth solemnly closed his daughter's lifeles eyes.
Toad spluttered,almost unawhere of his surroundings.Luigi wiped
his eyes with a hanky.
Tetra rushed out from the hangar to meet the group.she
noted Toadett's death,but it didn't alarm her.
"you passed the test."began Tetra"congrats!you're now offici
al Dragonstar members.get some sleep.after the girl's funeral
tommorow,the Entire dragonstar is going on an important mission
and you four are not exempt."
As Tetra walked out of the door,Toadsworth began to spea
k."Why,after Mario's funeral,just when I was beggining to get in
good spirits again,Must my daughter die?Why?"

Anubis watched the entire proceedings from his ship.
"Drat"said the the mummy god's namesake"Blue hound is dead.it
's only a matter of time now before master Morteas.."and with
that,a face coated in darkness appeared on Anubis screen.
"Master....please.."a scream resounded through the halls as An
ubis Blacktide met his demise.
