Chapter 1: The Story Begins
-----------------------------------------------------
It was another day in Onett. The sun was shining, the birds were singing...
But all that would soon end.
ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW.....
CRASH! BOOM!
A loud bang came from the outskirts of Onett, and Ness went to go check it out. When he arrived, he was blocked by the police squad.
“Sorry,” said one of the cops, “But this area is off limits for now.”
“Oh come on,” Ness said. “It looks like a meteorite hit the ground or something.”
Ness attempted to get through the cop, but failed.
“It doesn’t matter WHAT it is, the road is blocked for now. Go home.”
Ness turned around and headed home, only to remember what happened several months ago, when the meteor hit in the upper region of Onett.
Is it possible...? Ness started to think. No... It isn’t. Not in a million years.
The thought escaped him, after he saw Jeff in a bush, whispering to him.
“Psst! Ness!”
Ness headed over and joined Jeff, who whispered, “Looks like it’s happening again.”
“That’s impossible,” Ness said. “Giygas has been dead for months! He can’t come back!”
“It doesn’t matter whether he did or not,” Jeff stated, “It’s a matter of what happens next. So long as Starmen don’t come out of that meteorite for some reason, we’re in the clear.”
The police finally decided to unblock the road so people could go by. However, there were police tapes around the crater. Even across the top.
“Well, that won’t be so easy,” said Ness.
“True,” Jeff said, “But that’s why they invented night time. The police are blind as bats at night. We should be able to snatch it to see what it is.”
“You’d better be right,” Ness said. “I’m not going to jail for a stupid mistake you made.”
“Jail? That’s a bit of an exaggeration. But nonetheless, you’re right.”
Later that night, Ness and Jeff snuck out of their homes and went to check out the meteorite. The cops where there, but they were asleep.
“Where’s an “I FEEL ASLEEP!” speech bubble when you need one?” Ness jokingly asked.
“Heheh,” Jeff chuckled. “Come on, we gotta get that meteorite.
He and Ness headed over to the crater and slowly moved the police tape. But one of the cops woke up and noticed them.
“Hey! You!”
“Shoot!” Ness said.
The other cop awoke his friend and he said, “You two are under arrest!”
They pulled out their nightsticks and continued towards them.
“Run for it!” Jeff screamed. The cops jumped into their cruiser and chased Ness and Jeff down the streets of Onett.
One cop even pulled out his gun and started shooting at the two. Every single shot missed.
Ness and Jeff turned left and headed back to where they found the meteorite. After they were far enough ahead, Ness turned and faced the car and said, “PK Fire!” and shot a fireball in front of the car, which swerved out of control and fell over on its side.
“Ness! Quick! Grab it!” Jeff had lifted a couple of the police tapes so Ness’ hand could get through. He picked it up, and attached to it was a note, which read:
“Dear Ness,
How are you? I am doing fine. Please
do not try to stop me, you will only
make things worse for yourself.
Signed,
-The future ruler of the universe
P.S: The worst is yet to come”
